I practically ran to my locker and nervously fiddled with my locker as I tried to open it up. I wanted to get to first period before I embarrass myself even more in front of the boy with green eyes and freckles. But then I realized something.
"He can't have a locker that's close by mine. No way."
I felt pretty confident and at ease. Seriously, what's the possibility of him having a locker that is right by mine? There is like, a thousand of lockers in this school and a thousand of students too. There was NO way that the boy was going to have his locker near mine.
I calmly started to open up my locker and grabbed my books for the day when I looked around the hallway and noticed that the boy with green eyes and freckles has a locker near mines. I would have to say his locker is at least four lockers down from mines but still! How is this possible!? I quickly hid my face behind my locker door and nervously grab my books. I wasn't ready to leave because what if we run into each other? And then I might say or do something embarrassing like talk about how bad dog poo smells and wet my pants.
I peeked out from behind my locker and watched the boy looking down at a small sheet of paper in his hands then he started to work on opening his locker. I licked my lips as I nervously waited for him to hurry up and open his locker. I watched him as he finally opened up his locker. That's when I had an idea. Maybe, just maybe, while he's distracted, I can sneak away from my locker and go to first period! Yeah! It sounded like a plan!
I quickly closed my locker but tried not to make a loud sound with it. I didn't want him to hear me even though the hallways were loud enough to block out sounds from any locker. I pulled my bag's strap over my body and clutched my folder and Harry Potter book tightly then started to make my way away from the lockers.
"Hey! Look who it is!" A boy said.
"Hey, Harry Piper boy. Where's your wand?" Another boy said.
I sighed as the school bullies started to approach me.
"It's Harry POTTER." I remarked.
"Does it look like we care?"
That's when I noticed that the boy with green eyes and freckles looked my way. I quickly hid my face behind my folder and book and started to run away.
"Hey! Get back here!"
I ran and didn't stop running till I got to my first period which is Mrs. Miller's English class. I enjoy English class because i'm able to write to my heart's content and read my Harry Potter book.
I sadly walked into the classroom. I didn't have enough time to keep watching the boy with green eyes and freckles because Justin and his 'crew' showed up. I wasn't able to see where his first period is and I doubt it's mine. I doubt he's even in my grade. I slumped into my seat in the back corner of the class then set my bag next to me on the floor and plopped my folder and book onto my desk.
I rested my chin on my hand and stared out the window.
"Is this English?"
My heart started to thump in my chest as I heard that familiar soft voice. I slowly turned my head towards the front of the classroom and that's when I saw him. Suddenly, the world seemed to slow down for me. He was here. He's...in MY class. MY CLASS.
"Class, settle down." Mrs. Miller said then she turned towards the boy with green eyes and freckles and started to greet him. I watched him. Then, I saw something that was even more magical. He smiled. I couldn't help but smile too even though he's not smiling at me. But then, the world seemed to fast forward. The boy started to make his way towards me after he had a talk with Mrs. Miller. I shuffled in my seat as I quickly tried to grab my folder so I can hide my face but it was too late. He had already seen me.
"Hey. You're from the bus." He said as he took a seat next to me.
I quickly nodded without saying a word then looked towards the front.
"I'm going to call roll now. Jason Aikens?"
"Here."
"Emily Bills?"
"Here."
I glanced over at the boy and watched him some more.
"Micheal Dickenson."
"Here."
I needed to know who this boy is. But how?
"Julian Gilbert?"
"Here."
I didn't want to seem like a creeper.
"Jonah Hill?"
"Huh?" I said.
"Wake up, Jonah." Mrs. Miller said.
The class started to laugh.
I sighed then mumbled, "Here."
I was starting to miss my lovely 8-bit world already. At least there, nobody laughed at me.
