It was a dark night in New Orleans, as Katherine Pierce, recently turned human, sat at a table alone, getting drunk from a bottle of Bourbon she had stolen from the bar. She was drinking away her sorrows, because her life was hell. Everyone in this town hated her, which she didn't mind, but now her daughter hated her too. That, she just couldn't handle. She loved Nadia, but it upset her that her daughter hated her. And then there was the ordeal that she knew that Elijah would never come back. She was sure of it just as she was sure that she wouldn't survive this time around. She was alone in the world, because Nadia hated her and Elijah had left her. If he ever came back, she knew it would be too late to save her.
When the bottle was finished, she staggered out of the Mystic Bar and Grille and made her way to the clock tower, knowing there was only one way to end this once and for all. Besides, everyone hated her and Elijah was no longer there for her, so why not end her suffering now? Get it over with already.
A few minutes later, she was falling off the clock tower. It felt like flying to her, which actually felt nice.
Goodbye, Elijah. I'm sorry, Nadia. This is the only way I can escape this, she thought, as she fell from the clock tower. Then she was swimming in darkness.
It was a dark night, as Elijah Mikaelson arrived back in Mystic Falls, Virginia after hearing from Caroline Forbes what was happening to his Katerina. He had broken up with her before he had left town to go join his family in New Orleans, but now he had to come back to save Katerina. His plan was to go to New Orleans with her and see if there was anything Davina could do to help her out. Out of all the ancestral witches in New Orleans, Davina would understand why he had to save her. He just hoped neither Niklaus or Rebekah would kill or try to kill her. He'd have to speak to them so that they would hopefully agree to control the emotions and thoughts they had against her.
When he saw Katerina, he was instantly at her side, knowing she was quite alive, despite, apparently trying to kill herself to end the suffering she had, he gently picked her up in his arms and headed back to New Orleans with her.
When she woke up, she saw that she was in an unfamiliar bedroom. She was alone, but could clearly hear people yelling at each other. That's when she realized that one of the three Mikaelson siblings had come to her rescue. There was only one sibling she knew would do that for her; Elijah. She realized that he had come back for her and taken her home to New Orleans with him.
She headed out of the room and downstairs, following the shouting. Then, when she found the siblings in the parlor room, she saw that they weren't the only ones. There was also a pregnant werewolf whom despised her. They had never seen eye to eye. The wolf was trying to get them to shut up.
Katherine leaned against a wall in the threshold.
"Can you be any louder? I think the whole neighborhood can hear you. Besides, it's not good for whoever's child Hayley's going to be having," the human said calmly.
They looked at her.
"Katerina," Elijah greeted. "You're awake. My apologies for my siblings' behaviors."
She gave him a smile.
"It's fine. I probably had enough sleep anyway," she replied. "I assume you're all fighting about me being here," she added, looking at the younger siblings. "Well, Elijah had his reasons of bringing me here, so you'll have to deal with it. It was his decision to make and I'll stick by it. If you don't like it, then you're free to gloat. Sorry if I wounded your egos, but it gets tiresome when all you do is fight constantly."
"Whatever. I'm out of here," Rebekah replied and left the room and then the house.
"For once you're right. Welcome to New Orleans, Katerina," Klaus said, before leaving the room and then heading for his painting room.
"Welcome to New Orleans," was all Hayley said, before leaving the room.
Katherine looked at her ex-boyfriend.
"So, I guess you know then. That's why you brought me here," she guessed.
"Yes. There's a very powerful witch her. I thought she could help you out," he replied.
"Where is she?" she questioned.
"At the cemetery. I'll take you," he replied.
"Thank you," she answered.
She followed him, as he headed for the front door, ready to stop from dying of old age.
Half an hour later, they were at the cemetery where the witches hung out at, talking to Davina, seeing if she could help.
A few minutes later, Davina had done the spell to reverse what the cure had done to her, but Katherine was still a human.
In the end, Elijah and Kat got back together and she settled in New Orleans with the Mikaelsons.
