Lionheart opens the door, and looks around the room.
"Ruby Rose, I want to talk to you, personally." He pinches his fingers one by one as they make a "pop" sound.
The team look at him, and Qrow replied, half-drunk. "I don't think that'll be needed, if you want to tell Ruby anything, just say it to me."
"Qrow, when I mean personally, I meant it. Now Excuse-Me." He gives Qrow a death glance and pushed him aside, even a blade is at his throat.
"It's okay, uncle Qrow, I'll be back soon," says Ruby, and walk along with Lionheart, after looking at him.
As Lionheart sat down on his chair, Ruby stood by the door, looking him.
"So, what is it, Professor?" Without any doubt, she's still nervous after meeting him a few times. "What makes you have to talk to me personally?"
The professor remains silence for an eternity, and looking into nothing as if he was thinking. At last, he said, "Ruby, I might need you to do something for me. This is confidential, and no one can know, not even your sister or your drunk uncle, you clear?"
"Yes?" said Ruby, still confused.
"Look, Ruby, this is really important, it could change Mistral forever, so you must do what I say if you want to help, go it?"
"Alright, what you want me to do."
"To kill."
The clock is still ticking as the air got thicker.
"Tomorrow midnight, a group of Faunus will enter Mistral territory, they are highly dangerous and fatal to Mistral. And I will meet them personally. If things go right, they'll leave peacefully and no one has to die. Yet just in case, if the worst case happens, I need you to kill their leader, so they cannot cross the line. Will You do it?"
"You are asking me for an assassination without backup?"
"Only if they break their line, and there will be a chopper waiting for you at 200 miles, and the police will take care the rest once you reach the borders of Mistral, so you should be safe."
Ruby looks at Lionheart nervously, Lionheart has always given her an impression of a wise person, and yet by now, he is nervous, almost unable to control his fear. And not to mention they only met a few times, Qrow said he's not right, Ozpin said he's hiding something, even herself suspect his motives.
She looked at him for a long time, and eventually replied. "I don't know, maybe I will reply later."
The professor took a deep breath and nodded.
As Ruby goes back and shuts the door, Nora immediately went up and grabbed her tightly.
"Ruby, are you alright? What did Lionheart said to you?"
"Great, you made it back. Should have drink some back then." Uncle Qrow laid on the sofa and continued to drink.
"It's ok, he said milk supplies are pretty low and ask if it's to use other drinks." She decided to lie, unprofessionally. She still did not understand why Lionheart chooses her, or his intentions. "I take a bath first, I'm a little tired."
As she closed the bathroom door, her heads started thinking, who is this Lionheart? He just has every secret hiding in every corner. She can't even find a word to described him - wise, cunning, art lover. He can predict every move that she thought, and she is losing bargains. Her head was dizzy, she can sense his threat constantly, yet he never seems to be an enemy or evil, in fact quite the contradictory, at least he does not have that feeling when she met Cinder and her two fellas.
"Ozpin should know him better than me, perhaps I can get some answers." She thinks, her head got slightly better.
She opened the door, and her eyes shocked her - everyone has fainted out, leaving only herself. And the pot is making noises.
"Miss Rose, I think I need to make my statement clear: I am not asking you, what I said is an order. And I am glad you never told them about our conversation, or else, I'm going to throw them into the northern forest. Which, reminds me how those grimms interrupt my fishing trip."
"So, I'm going to repeat my sentence, I want you to meet me tomorrow 8 pm. And don't worry, I have a lot of random hobbies, yet killing hasn't been one, my man will take good care of them."
"Oh, and please do shut that pot down, I do not want to see a fire broke out at my academy."
As the full moon rose, Ruby went to the professor's office, watching him pouring a cup of white wine.
"Good, I thought I have to remind you again." Lionheart laid down in his chair, smiling normally.
"Where's my target?" Ruby looked at the professor, angrily.
"Here is your spot, the target will take a chopper and head to Mistrial midnight. And I've got a camouflage and sniper rifle for you." He opened a box at his back. "We are not guns-blazing, so please stay hidden."
"What if I don't?"
"You can, but don't say I didn't warn you what will happen if you mess it up. I can trust you, given that this is surely not your first time holding a sniper rifle."
"Alright."
"Remember, when I say the code or I die. Now go."
As Ruby hopped on the chopper, the dawn reached her thinnest and the moon started to engulf the sun.
"Sir, we're ready."
"Good, give them a bottle of beer and an envelope, and if they can't write, help them."
"Yes sir, I'll tell them."
"Also, please give me a cup of gin."
Ruby sat on the bushes of a high hill. She only takes the rifle, to be fair, the ghillie suit is not for everyone.
"Miss Rose, can you hear me?"
"Yes, I can."
"We spotted the chopper at your South-West, can you spot it?"
"Yes I see it, is it 3 choppers?"
"Yes, the code is "in the bleak midwinter", listen carefully to the radio, I hope you do not fail your listening. I'm now meeting them."
As soon he finishes the sentence, five choppers immediately head straight towards the intruders. And as Lionheart surrounds the intruders, they slowly landed on an open land.
Ruby immediately locked the first guy who stepped out, and it shocked her, it was Adam.
"So I guess you're Adam Taurus, right?"
"What do you want?" Adam stepped out from the chopper with a few guards before him.
"Hmm, that's weird, I thought Cinder have told you about me. Well, let me properly introduce myself, I'm..."
"Leonardo Lionheart, former headmaster of Mistral Academy, I know who you're."
"Good, saves our time. Then you should know Cinder called me to pick you up."
"Cinder called you?" Adam looked at him, his face remains unseen.
"Yes, she told me that you come here in person. But since we are good, so I decide to come here to greet you and sent 500 of our men to ensure your safety. And I have secured a place for your living, you could just think it as... a surprise holiday."
"...500 guards for my own safety?"
"Yes, it's my duty to ensure my guest's safety. If you don't mind we can immediately head to the hotel and let you tried our famous cuisines, I personally recommend duck with sticky rice. "
By now, Ruby's head is spinning as if there's an earthquake below her. She holds her rifle firmly. Why? How does Adam know the professor? When? What are they planning? Is Cinder or her people here? Will the professor sell her out? At this very moment, she cannot think straight anymore.
BUT SHE HOLDS THE GUN.
Adam looked at the professor for a moment, he still assured if anything's fishy he could immediately raise his sword.
One of Adam's guards whispered from his ears nervously. His throat immediately has a blade near it. "Shut it or I will cut your tongue," said Adam. Clearly, he was not happy about the surprise.
After Adam put back his blade, he took a bow at the professor, and said,"I'm terribly sorry. But I think you misunderstand something, I think I told Cinder that plans have changed and I'm not transpassing by."790Please respect copyright.PENANAvCHiWbsB4S
"Transpassing? May I know where you are going?"790Please respect copyright.PENANAXN67PGRJfK
"Well, I don't think it's a good idea to let too many people knowing my plans, I'll tell you someday later."
"Sure, I understand," the professor nodded. "People have secrets. Well, wish you good luck."
As Adam went back to his ship, and disappeared from where it's from, I unloaded the rifle.
"Well, just luck hasn't run out yet," the professor looks at me, smiling.
"You know what you're doing, do you?"
"If I don't, I'll just chop off all your heads and get this bloody hole ASAP weren't I?"
"Well, until heaven went silence, and hell came quiet, I shall see you then, now go see your friends."
"Glad things haven't come to worst, sir." Lieutenant Stukov came in the office with two glass.
"Yes, my friend. It was a miracle things escalated in our way, but we must make haste, winter is coming, and we must be prepared. For now, we must double our effort on operation Rapture, and then the world shall see the might of our army."
