I woke up to the sound of screams. I could hear car alarms going off. Loud running and growls. I looked around my room and Tori was nowhere in sight. "What the hell?" I got out of bed and put some shoes on. I went to my parents bedroom and they weren't there. I ran down stairs with caution and saw that the door was open. I went into the living room, there was a trail of blood from the couch to the kitchen I ran in there to see my parents on the floor. Blood all over them and around them. "Mom! Dad!"
I went down to my knees and checked for a pulse. I couldn't believe it. They were gone. Tears came rushing down my face. My grieving was cut short when I was grabbed by my hair and was swung into the wall. I couldn't quite make out what it was, but it was strong. I jumped up and clawed his arm that was swinging towards me. I punched him in the stomach, gave him an uppercut, grabbed his head and bit him with all my might. He went down to the ground. I snapped his neck. I wasn't sure what he was. A hybrid of some kind. vampire and wolf maybe? I didn't have time to waste. I took one last look at my parents and ran out of the house. "I need to find my sister."
As I ran outside I noticed that everyone was attacking everyone and I was right in the middle. I saw that someone was coming after me. Definitely a human. Friendly? I got ready for a fight. She pulled out a gun and aimed it at me. "Oh hell!" I froze. I heard footsteps behind me. I was hit on the back of my head. I woke up being dragged by my shirt. I could feel blood rushing down the back of my neck. I was in a dark alley. As I was going in and out of consciousness. I heard a loud scream then a thud. All I could see was a huge monster. Wolf... I knocked out...
"Do you think she is okay?"
"Is she one of them?"
"We should just throw her out! This is our sanctuary!"
I slowly opened my eyes. I saw a big group of people to my left screaming out orders. I looked to my right and saw a smaller group. One of them looked at me as if they were talking about me. I got up and noticed one of them was Tori. She was talking to someone. Maybe the one who saved me?
He walked over to me. "Why did they try and take you?"
"What? Who?"
"The other demons."
"I don't know."
"Are you human?"
"No!" Tori yelled out while walking our way, she is a Vline. There's no reason why they would take her."
I looked confused. "Why are they taking people?"
"Lets just say that every person and thing out there apart from us in here. Are our enemies."
"Look" Tori said, "I know her and believe me, she is not our enemy." The man nodded and walked away.
"Thank you."
She looked at me, shook her head and walked away.

I looked around. Maybe my sister is here. I started to walk around, but I felt lightheaded. I grabbed my head and noticed that I was still bleeding. Tori walked up to me and gave me a rag. "It's for your head."
"MMMHMMM . What are you doing exactly? How do you know all of this?"
"Look I can't tell you everything right now. Ok." She walked away.
"Damn... Shes got attitude...Niiiice..." I put the rag on my head. "Wait! I screamed out."Have you seen my sister?"
"What does she look like?"
"Hmmmm I don't know.... the only other girl with cat ears and a tail."
She chuckled "That's specific. Sorry your the only other vline I know. Haven't seen her."
I have to find her."
"If I find anything that has to do with your sister, I'll let you know. Now sit down and focus on getting better."
I sat down and saw that this very tall man was headed my way.
"What up!"
"Uhhh nothin. What's up with you?"
"Hey Tori! Is this one of your lady friends?"
"What?! Why do you always assume that I have lady friends?"
"Cause ya know... You've been around."
"Are you calling me a whore?!"
"I ain't callin you a virgin!!!"
She seemed a little pissed but then laughed. She walked in the other direction checking on the other people in the group.
"So I'm guessing that you two know each other?" I asked.
"Yeah we go way back."
Are you the one who saved me and brought me here?"
"You know it. I couldn't just sit back and watch you be dragged away."
"Thank you. It means a lot." I paused. "Have you seen a girl with cat ears and a tail?"
"Yeah, I'm lookin at one."
"I mean another one." I laughed." She has bright red hair and green eyes. A little shorter than me."
"Nah. I'm sorry but I'll keep an eye out though. I'm Ben."
"Thank you. I'm Valentine." He got up and walked away. I lied down.
I woke up to someone snoring in my ear. I looked to my left to see Mikey. I couldn't believe that he was here. I sat up and touched his nose gently. He moved but was still asleep. I tried again. Nothing. I brought a claw out and scratched his nose. He woke up.
"You're alive!" He hugged me.
"Of coarse I am" I said while I was losing air. "Please let go buddy."
He let go. "How did you get here? Did you hear how all of this happened?"
"well to answer your first question, I was carried here. And I experienced how it happened. Can you keep a secret?"
"Yes"
"Well, This Crocotta named Brenda was outside my house and she killed Williams daughter. The guy who created the treaty. Then she saw that we were there." I paused. Should I tell him what Tori did? Will that hurt her? I continued with a lie. "She attacked us. and ran away."
"But they found her body."
"Must've been after the treaty was broken."
Well. I'm just glad your ok. I'll be right over there if you need me."
"Ok."
A couple hours had passed. I got up, stretched a bit then walked over to Tori. "Look, I can't just sit here and hope that she is ok. I have to go look for her."
"You're free to look here, but I can't let you go outside. It's to dangerous."
"Look. I don't think you understand." I started to tear up. "Less than 24 hours ago I went to the kitchen and saw that my parents had been murdered. I can't let that happen to my sister. I have to find her."
"I understand but you can't help anyone if your injured and can't fight properly. We will help you look when you are better."
"I have eight more lives. I can be stealthy and just be a cat. No one will see me."
"Stealthy does not mean safe. There are demons out there with highly evolved detection. If you go out there how you are now. You'll die. Pretty soon eight lives won't be enough."
"I don't need your permission! I'm going!" turned towards where the gate was.
She grabbed me by the back of my neck. "I'm sorry Valentine but your not going anywhere. Not yet." She said calmly.
"Let go of me! Your not my mother!"
"Your right. I'm not your mother. But the same thing that happened to your mother will happen to you if you go out there. Then there death would be for nothing."
Tears came rushing down my face. She let me go once I stopped squirming. And I fell to my knees and put my head in my hands. She leaned down to hug me and said "I'm sorry. This is all my fault."I have to do what I can to protect everyone in here." I pushed you away and walked towards where I was lying down. On my way there, I went down on all fours and slowly transformed back into a cat and lye the rolled up in a ball.
Ben walked over to Tori and said. "Why you gotta do her like that?''
"Ben, you know it's not safe out there. Shes only 18."
"So what We will send out a team with her. Stop being lame Tori."
"I'm not bending on this Ben, wait..." A huge grin spread on Ben's face. "She left already didn't she?"
"I love you Tori."
"I'm gonna kill you. Send out a search party. We need to find a cat."
It is hella cold. I felt so dirty. I had the strongest urge to clean myself. I started licking my paw. Wait this isnt the time. I started walking again. I couldn't believe how all of this happened so fast. The streets are filled with blood, guts, and bodies. Cars are tipped over.
I heard footsteps. Oh no. I ran as fast as I could up the closest tree. I saw two Vampires dragging what seems to be a human and a Acheri. The Acheri was a little girl with a demented face and long black claws. I heard them arguing. One didn't want to kill them, but was forced. They took the Acheri's life first. They stalled with the human. I can't let this happen. I jumped out of the tree and ran as fast as I could. I lunged up in the air and grabbed onto the first vampires face and hung on with my claws. While he was freaking out he hit the second vampire that went flying in the air. He hit the ground hard. I clawed at the guys face and jumped off.
I transformed into a human again I pierced my now longer claws threw his throat. The second vampire Lunged at me. I moved out of the way. He ran into the wall head first and fell to the ground. He was out cold. He didn't want to kill the human. So I won't kill him. I noticed that I had no shirt again. "Shit." I looked at the human Are you o..." All I could feel was a sharp pain in my chest. I looked down and there was a piece of metal that she had stuck me with. I looked in her eyes. She had tears. "I'm sorry."
She ran off and I dropped to the ground. I could feel the blood rushing out of my body. I heard more foot steps and Tori's voice saying "Son of a bitch. I told her this would happen. I'm going after the human." I grabbed her leg.
"Please don't just let her go. She was scared."
"I'm not gonna kill her. I'm gonna put her in the safe house. Better there than out here."
I nodded and let go of her leg.
I saw the darkness again and before I knew it, I was gone.
I woke up in a bed. Ben, Mikey and Tori were there.
"How long has it been?" i asked.
Ben said, "About 3 days."
"Wow that's different."
Mikey went in for the hug. "You ok?"
"Yeah. Good as new."
I looked at Tori. Her face was red, her fists were clenched, she was definitely mad. "So what's new with you?"
"Your staying in here until you can fight better."
"Fine." I lied back down.
"About that human you 'helped' she has a few words for you."
"What does she want to take another stab at me?"
The woman walked up to me and said. "Thank you, and I', sorry. I was really scared. I didn't know who I could trust."
"It's ok, but you owe me a life haha just kidding." Everyone cleared the room. "Well this sucks."
