I’d finally finished harvesting the potatoes, and the next day I'd be taking the harvest to town to sell to some vendors. Hopefully I'd be able to practice some magic with the spellweaver sometime soon. I’d finally mastered the healing shot spell! I was sure she'd be proud.
My mother, my brother, and I thanked the Barking Knights for their help with harvesting, bagged the last of the potatoes, put the bags on the carts, and put the carts in the barn for its time being. Tomorrow I would’ve got my brother to man the other cart with a horse. I cleaned myself up, put on casual clothes, and started practicing magic on the triangle in the cellar. I hoped that I wouldn't cause a ruckus that mother will scold me about again. I started with Tiny Shot, the best shot attack spell I could muster, and aimed at the triangle. I made sure that the triangle had time to go into the air before I shot, and I shot the outer part of the triangle. Accuracy isn’t my chip of the rock, mind you. I kept practicing until I hit the hay bale I set behind the triangle too many times. I only hit the triangle twice.
I decided that I should continue with the healing spell. I scratched myself on my arm until my arm was red like a rash. I used the shot healing spell I learned, Air-Health Shot, and shot my arm. It burned horribly, but the burning went away and was replaced by a warm feeling in my arm's stuff. I lifted the spell and looked at my arm; at least I knew that the spell worked on scratches. Now for the painful part... for the poor pigs.
I grabbed a knife and went out to the barn. As I walked outside, I could tell I would need to rest up soon; the sun was setting. When I arrived at the barn, I grabbed some spare rope lying around and went to the pig section of the pens. I took one of the pigs and, with as much gentleness I could grab for the pig, tied it up for cutting. I gripped the knife tightly and sliced the pig on its back. It started squealing. It wasn't even my fault, the spellweaver told me to, I swear!
Well, after a decent cut was on it, I started the Air-Health Shot spell. The squealing got louder, but then went away big time. The cut was healing, although slowly, and the pig was fine again. I was glad I didn't harm the pig much. Poor thing’ll get chopped one day, and I don’t want it to feel pain before then. I'm not a vegetarian, mind you, I’ve butchered my fair share of the pile! It's just... well, I'm a pacifist. Honestly, I really like the taste and texture of pork, really. Really.
I untied the pig and set it back down in the pen. Setting the rope and knife somewhere, I returned to the house and bade my mother good-night. I went into my bedroom in the attic, where I bade my brother good-night, and went to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a fine day, being in Eslientum.1259Please respect copyright.PENANAS61PUdiwbE
