-Third Person P.O.V-
A countable number of hours passed when the Omega got up. I must’ve dozed off sometime earlier she sighed, feeling about for her phone. It had been about a week since the incident and thankfully, Laito had woken up, regained his memory and healed fully. Light however...stayed in the same coma, and the Beta’s teammates and friends worried about her, she needed more urgent medical care, as a simple heart monitor wouldn’t be enough to monitor her.
Dark frowned, walking over to the sink and splashing her face. Wiping it off, she turned and walked back into her study. “Hey Love.” Laito mused from the middle of her bed, the Delta was splayed out in a sort of restlessly-relaxed manner, glowing green eyes gazing at her. “Hey Babe, what’s up, you aren’t usually up right now.” “Hun, it’s almost noon, and the gang has a mission to try and get money for Light’s fundings, you in?”
Body still sagging with sleep, the shorter forced herself to nod, “Got it. I’m in.”
~
”WHAT?!”
“Yes Dark. If you want to follow you have to go as someone’s date.” Angelo laughed softly, the plan was to make a deal with the Yakuza–an arms worth of weaponry in exchange for enough money to supply the hospital for Light’s medications and resources. The only problem? The trading point was a ‘Gentlemen’s Club’. Dark would be allowed to enter, but only as someone’s lady of honour.
“Jesus Christ...fine. I’ll pair off with Laito.” She conceded, brushing the stray hairs out of face in frustration, around her sat Laito, Kanato, Azusa and Angelo respectively. The exchange was tonight, so they had a few hours left to kill before it was showtime. “Azu, follow me please.” Dark asked, dragging her non-blood brother by the hand into her room. “Dark? You okay?” Azusa’s voice floated across the purple and mint room, a sad concern filling his eyes for his childhood friend.
Surprisingly, the Cat turned back to face him, her face beaming with the most radiant smile the group had seen in weeks. “I’m fine Azu, thanks, I just wanted to ask you if this looks nice for tonight” The question was sheepish, unsure while the royal purple shimmer of a dress swayed to her movements. A warm blush settled on the other Omega’s melanin-rich cheeks, “Y-Yeah..you–I mean— it, yeah, it looks beautiful.” He coughed, beige flops of puppy ears flapping gently on his brown hair.
”Thanks! I’ll go get dressed now and put on a bit of scent-blocker,” she started, and looked at her childhood friend with more focus this time, “I think you should spray some too Azu, just in case.” Azusa nodded and headed out of the room swiftly.
~
Hours ticked by and the quartet were ready to head out. Dark walked down the ivory steps slowly in her high-heels, afraid to slip and fall right in front of Angel, Laito, Kanato and Azusa. Unfortunately, she did, and ended up right in the Delta’s arms (I know it’s cliche but eh). “Already blushing? Hmmmm” he mused, a calming alto washing over the flushing girl. “Shut up” She laughed, straightening before wobbling again, “Angel do I really have to wear these horrific things?” The boy in-question nodded, “Those shoes have diamond studs in the back of the heel in case of anything, I’d rather you keep them with you Dark.” With a huff, she nodded, dropping her shoulders.
Yet...the pink tinge didn’t vanish...
“Why’re you still blushing Dark?” Azusa asked, squinting at the shorter intently. Just then, Kanato, who seemed aloof the whole time took a glance at her and laughed menacingly, Dark noticed the change in her best friend’s demeanour–yes, Dark has an Alpha and Beta best friend– and froze, “No Kana-san, don’t you dare—“ “Why?” He chuckled, calming down slightly, “Don’t you like our suits?” The two boys smiled toothily, watching the smallest closely.
“N-Nevermind..let’s just go.” The Omega said, admitting defeat. The plan has gotten into motion, and the four were off.
~
“Woah..this place is full of Alphas..” Azusa muttered, thanking Dark and himself for applying the scent blockers. A regular Omega would’ve gotten jumped at, and that was the least of their worries. The place in question, was rather posh in its own way; despite the whole place being filled with Alphas and Deltas alike, there was a surprisingly calm aura to the place. It made the two Omegas more at ease through this mission.
A single click of fingers from Kanato let the group know that they had found their people. Aside from a group of another quartet were the Yakuza, the exact people they needed to meet with for the exchange. Moments passed as each step towards the table made Laito’s heart pound, something wasn’t right, he could sense it. A hiss worked its way out of his throat as he slipped into a more Alpha-persona, but a low growl from Kanato made him roll his eyes and try to stay silent.
“Well well, if it isn’t the traders.” A bulky man from the table got up as they walked closer. His dark eyes scanned to four with malicious intent before speaking about the cash he had brought and was ready to give them. “But, I want something in return.” The group tensed slightly, and Laito heard the soft sound of chairs moving to their left, “What do you want.” It wasn’t a question, no, it was a threat. “Well, Delta. I want that pretty little Omega you have with you.” Dark froze. “Yes, you, come here Kitten—what, did you really think I couldn’t smell you?” He sniggered darkly, (no pun intended) listening to the deep snarl Kanato gave, he rolled his eyes impatiently, “I said. Come here. Stupid thing.”
The group turned their head slightly to look at Dark, to see what her decision was. On one hand, she could deny this disgusting man his pleasures and not step forward, but that would mean that they wouldn’t get the funds for Light. Or she could step forward, endure what she needs to for awhile and head back with the money. Making her choice, she pushed through the trio and up to the man. Instantly, his hand rushed out and grabbed her face, squeezing roughly.
“That’s it. You harlot. Listen when you’re told.” Dark herself wasn’t able to fight back, not yet, so she just glared at him in retaliation. “You are not getting her. You pervert.” Azusa declared, going against his instincts to stand down to another Alpha as he fought for his friend. “I don’t care what you think. You must’ve wanted to trade this little maid off if you thought bringing her here was a good decision. Didn’t you Alpha?” His evil eyes landed on Kanato’s flaming ghost of irises. “Give her back to us.” He spoke slowly, trying to keep himself under control, “I don’t want your stupid money anymore.” The hulk of a man just threw his head back and laughed cynically, “No way, you think that after I’ve seen this—“ he gestured with his free hand to Dark, “ —that I’m just going to give her up? Ya’ right–“
A warning shot ran out through the building.
The leader’s bodyguards stood up as well as the old man threw Dark to the ground. “RIGHT. WHICH ONE OF YOU LITTLE TWERPS FIRED IT.” He barked, focusing on Kanato regardless; but another voice caught his attention, “I did.” It was one of the patrons from the other table that they had seen, a golden Phoenix in his eyes as he stared straight into the man’s soul. “Let the girl go, and there will be no problems.” He began again, gesturing for the other team to join him and his three teammates, the seven of them standing in a row.
“And what makes you think I care, Delta?” “Nothing really. I just care about her right now.” He responded, sarcasm and venom dripping from his teeth as two, long, black and grey bunny ears stretched out from the top of his raven coloured hair. “Len, go get her please, you’re a Sigma, so you should be fine with her.” He mentioned, making sure the team and Dark heard him. The Sigma nodded, sliding over to her and starting to help her up when a gun to his head stopped him.
Immediately, the Delta raised his gun, “Step. Away. From. Him.” He spoke lowly, his arm trained on the villain in front of them. “Hah. Or what..?” “Len?” Dark whispered, unsure. The boy turned to her, his deep red eyes scanning her for any fear or injury, “I’m going to throw you. You’re a Sigma, so you can do damage. Signal your pack leader and get ready.” A sharp nod was sent her way as Dark took it as a cue and with all her strength, picked the taller up and tossed him into the bad guys.
The group watched as Len grew out his pointed orange ears and stripy orange tail, stripes of black appeared on his face and what was once chewed off nails sharpened into claws as he scratched three long scars down the guy’s ugly face. Shots began to ring out through the establishment as everyone began firing. “Follow me.” Len said, pulling at Dark’s sleeve, a bit shocked when she resisted, “Dark. Come. Please.” “But my group—!” “It’s fine, Mino is an excellent shooter, don’t worry.” He reassured, and that seemed to do the trick as the Cat followed him out of the club and into the safety of an alley nearby.
”Are you okay?” Dark asked cautiously, not sure if she should even be speaking at a time like this. It had all gone wrong! And she was the cause of it. Tears threatened to spill from her seashell pink eyes as she tried to hold back, “I’m fine, are you alright? You have bruises on you.” Len–Dark had remembered his name–stated, his fingers gently tracing a patch of blue that bloomed over her shoulder. “I’m fine, are you sure they’re okay??” Another nod. Dark sighed, her heart felt heavy and her mind even heavier; staying silent she sat with her legs straight against the alley wall.
”Hey. Are you sure you’re alright?” Dark didn’t reply, didn’t even notice her black ears flattening on-top of her head while her tail swished around in frustration. The Tiger frowned, his own tail swinging in thought, “If it makes you feel better, your teammates are really nice...” a mumbled thanks made its way to his ears and he smiled softly. “No worries, what are you doing here anyways? I hate to admit it, but that bastard was right, this place is no place for an Omega, let alone a girl.” A broken laugh left her throat, “Azusa’s an Omega too, the tall one with beige puppy ears.” She croaked out, throat a bit tight from crying.
“Oh.” “Yeah, ‘Oh.’ But we’re here because my best friend is currently in a coma right now, I won’t go into details, but we have no money to support her.” “Money? That’s what you guys needed?” A voice rang out from behind her. It was the Rabbit Delta, and behind him stood all the team members from both sides. “Yes.” Kanato said, motioning for Laito to go over and help his girlfriend up, along with Len. “I’m afraid now we’ve lost the chance...” he trailed off when he noticed Mino’s face curve into a gleeful one.
”Well why didn’t you say so? Come on, we have some spare cash to give out at our base, follow us.”
And that they did.
