EPISODE FOUR
*Gryffindor Common Room*
CH: Hi, Haley.
HA: How do you keep sneaking into common rooms, Charlie!?
CH: I don’t even know, to be completely honest.
HA: Charlie?
CH: Yes?
HA: Did your sister apologize?
CH: Yes, she did. So I take it you heard?
HA: Everybody knows. Besides, it’s kind of hard not to be interested in the common room ninja!
CH: Ninja? So now I have a nickname? And an odd one too.
HA: That’s what you get! A group of first years came up with it and I guess it just stuck around
*Meanwhile, in the hallway*
MI: Oh look, if it isn’t Amanda O’ Stupid!
AM: I had assumed you would have come up with better insults for me by now. Considering the fact that all you really want is attention, people would have thought you might have tried a tiny bit more to expand your vocabulary.
MI: I just can’t believe that Madoline is actually friends with a-
AM: *Her voice shifted from irritated to furious*Don’t ever even consider calling me that horrid name!
MI: What, a mu-
AM: SHUT UP!!!!!
PM: What is going on over here?!?
AM: He almost said it, professor!
PM: Said what?
AM: *Her tone of voice shows that she is very upset* He almost called me a- It’s not my fault that my parents are muggles!
PM: Mr. Longbottom, you have detention after class. I will also take 50 points from gryffindor because of your actions.
MI: *thinking* Great, I’ve been told off. *leaves*
AM: *to self* If Longbottom despises slytherins so much, why did he start a “relationship” with Mads? Something has got to be up with that.
AM:*texting* Hey, Charlie?
CH:*texting* Yes, Am?
AM:*texting*Where are you? We need to talk.
CH:*texting* I’m on my way to Defense Against The Dark Arts. Is everything okay?
AM:*texting* Yeah, I’m fine. Since you’re headed to class, we can talk later. How about on the way to Hogsmeade tomorrow?
CH:*texting* Sounds good.
AM:*stuffs phone in bag* I’ll talk to Molly and Daphne after class.
(Ravenclaw Common Room)
MO: Aria, Alice! Hurry up, or we’ll be late for class!!!
AR: You do realize that Alice is still putting on her makeup. Come on, Alice!!
AL: Hold on! I need to get rid of this eyeshadow fallout.
AR: Ugh, come on! We’re going to miss class! We already missed breakfast waiting for you!
AL: It’s gone now! *bursts through the door*
MO: Good! Now grab your things and run!
AR: But, we’ll get into trouble! And possibly run into somebody!
MO: True, sorry It’s a habit I have from watching my little sister. And my brothers.
AL: Oh! I forgot my socks!
AR: Leave. Them. Here.
AL: Okay, Okay!
*The three swiftly make their way to Herbology class*
*After Herbology*
AM: Molly, Daphne! I need to talk to you.
DA: Yeah? What do you want to talk about, Am?
AM: Longbottom. But not here. We need somewhere private. Know anywhere?
DA: How about down by Hagrid’s?
AM: Perfect. Let’s go!
* They head to Hagrid’s hut, and sit by the pumpkin patch*
AM: *Hands everyone parchment, quills, and ink.* Here. Now, Daphne, Molly, write down everything you know about Michael. Everything. And please, don’t ask why. I think I’m onto something, and I need information.
DA: Oooooook. Wait, if you tell us why, can I tell Rolf? *Starts writing*
AM: If you can be certain he won’t tell anyone, then yes.
DA: I am. Why would he? He’s very trustworthy. And I’m not just saying that ‘cause he’s my boyfriend. * Continues writing*
MO: So, what is this for, anyway? I’m sure I’m asking for both me and Daph.
AM: You know my roommate, Madoline? Well, Longbottom is her boyfriend.
*Both Daphne and Molly* WHAT??!!! WHY ARE YOU JUST NOW TELLING US THIS?
AM: Be quiet! She’s afraid to break up or let you know, Daph. But my question is why did Micheal ask to be her boyfriend, anyways. It’s fishy beyond belief.
DA; That’s true….he despises us Slytherins so much…..why did he ask her out, but more importantly, why did she say yes?
AM: Mads had wanted a boyfriend for quite a while. *whispers* And she said he’s a good kisser. I laughed when she told me, but I probably shouldn’t have. Thought you’d want to know.
DA: That’s disgusting. Absolutely revolting. I can’t even imagine what she was thinking.
MO: Oh, shut up. Though you are right, it is. So, why do you think he asked, Am?
AM: I’ve come up with a few possibilities as to why he asked. It could be to get close to her for some random scheme, to annoy us, or just because he’s Micheal.
DA: That’s a good idea, but why would he want to get close to Mads?
AM: I don’t know, but it was an idea, at least.
DA: Yeah, but I mean maybe that’s it. Maybe he has this crazy, insane reason that he wants to get close to Mads.
MO: Maybe he’s planning to blackmail us and is using her for information? That’s possible, right?
DA: Yeah, with Longbottom being the idiotic boy he is, but what would he blackmail us for? And, besides, Mads wouldn’t give him info about us, right? Maybe we just need to talk to her and ask her if he’s asked her anything weird lately.
AM: Or maybe we ask him. We could get a lot more info that way. If you don’t want to go, though, Daph, I understand. But if you do, he won’t hurt you. I’ll make sure he doesn’t.
DA: Wait, actually talk to him?! No way, no way, no way! He’ll just send me to the Hospital Wing again, along with all of you, and maybe Rolf too!!!!! I can’t let that happen!!!! We are safer talking to Mads instead of directly talking to him. Maybe we can ask Mads to ask him our questions. Isn’t that safer?
AM: Listen, I know you’re nervous, but I can handle him. I did earlier today.
DA: Are you sure you can handle him? He could hurt you. And besides, you freaked out when he almost called you a-
MO: Don’t! That’s a terrible word!
AM: I can take it. There were worse experiences with the kids at school before Hogwarts.
DA: Wow, you actually went to a Muggle school? Yuck. I’ve heard they’re disgustingly dirty. I’m not prejudiced towards Muggles or anything, but they can’t clean to save their lives.
AM: I assume you never met my mum, then.
MO: Neither of us has. Is she a cleaner?
AM: No, just the neatest muggle in existence. It rubbed off on Charlie, if you couldn’t tell. So, Daphne, Are you going to go with me or not?
DA: Do I have time to think about it?
AM: Yeah. I was planning to do it tomorrow, but we could wait if you wanted.
DA: Please wait. I want to have time to tell Rolf about your plan, and then maybe he could go with us. Oh, if we don’t hurry, we’ll miss dinner.
AM: Oh, let’s go. How long do we wait?
DA: How about you wait two days?
MO: That’s good. Come on, I’m hungry.
AM, DA: Ok.
*They get up and head to the Great Hall for dinner.*
*At the Slytherin Table*
DA: So, Mandy, Molly, and I have a plan for figuring out why Madoline and Longbottom are dating.
RO: Wait, they’re dating? Why?
AM: Long story. I’ll explain in the common room where it’s private.
RO: Yeah, it is a bit more private than here. Especially since Longbottom is sitting right over there. *He cocks his head toward the Gryffindor table, which was a few feet over to the right.*
DA: Yeah, but even if he wasn’t here, there are also three other houses in this hall. Remember?
RO: Oh yeah.
AM: Mmm… this is good, as always.
DA: What is it?
AM: It’s a pasty. I can get one for you if you’d like.
DA: No thanks. I’m full.
RO: I’m not. *He reaches for one and starts to eat it*
DA: Honestly, how much can you eat?
RO: I’m hungry, Angel.
DA: I suppose I can’t do anything about that, can I?
AM: So Rolf, I have a question. Would you be willing to come with us to interrogate Longbottom? I promise, as long as I’m there, he won’t hurt anyone.
RO: *Noticing Daphne biting her lip* Uhhh….Can I think about it?
AM: Yeah. I understand that you’re worried about Daph, but I can keep Longbottom under control, if that helps.
DA: Can you, though? You don’t know what he’s capable of, Mandy. I don’t want either of you getting hurt.
AM: I’m not entirely sure. But this morning before Herbology, he got caught bullying me. So, maybe if we could convince someone of authority over him to come too, for backup, it could be safer. Someone like the Gryffindor prefect, possibly.
RO: But I thought you said we were going to confront him and interrogate him about why he and Madoline are dating. Why would a prefect want any part of that?
DA: *Turning towards Rolf* But what about Charlie? He might care. *Turning back towards Amanda, looking worried* He would want to help us, right? You guys aren’t in another one of your fights, are you?
AM: Maybe. And for your information, we’ve been argument free ever since Christmas. But what makes you think that Longbottom would listen to a Hufflepuff, even if my brother is a prefect?
DA: You’re right. *sighing* He probably wouldn’t. We have probably get going, or we’ll get in trouble with our prefect for not getting to the common room on time.
AM: Ok, let’s go. It’ll be more private, anyways.
DA: Actually, I’m probably going to head to bed when we get there.
RO: Why? Are you just super tired?
DA: Yeah. Sorry. *She gets up to go.*
AM: I can explain everything to Rolf for you when we get there, then.
RO: Are you sure you want to go to bed as soon as we get to the common room?
DA: Yeah. Let’s just go. * She gets up and leaves.*
AM: Something's up. She doesn’t usually act like that.
RO: Yeah, she doesn't. I’ve known her since our first year, and she’s never acted like that. Ever.
AM: I think she’s scared.
RO: Maybe… but she’s been scared before, and, as I told you, she’s never gotten all upset all of a sudden. Maybe, this is going to sound crazy, but maybe somebody put a spell on her, and that’s why she acted like that?
AM: It is a possibility. Who else stayed behind after dinner?
RO: *thinking for a second* I only saw Madoline, Sophia, and……
AM: Who?
RO: Micheal.
