Strynex
Jozyne was heavy in his arms, but fortunately the trip was quick, as the ability of portalling came almost naturally after the transformation, but what he found when he got back shocked him. Why, he almost dropped Jozyne. "Wha-what's wrong?" She asked looking up at him. She had not looked at the state her room was in. Ransacked, trashed, door broken down, and what sounded like some strange men talking in the hallway. "Um, I think somebody was looking for you..." That was honestly his best guess. He was no psychic, but he knew somebody had been searching for something or someone. Of course, he immediately regretted saying a thing as the men's voices conversation turned to what was going on in Jozyne's room. He instantly turned invisible out of pure fear. He hoped little Jozyne would do the same.
Henchman
He never had liked his lower ranking in his job. Now his job was to just stand around and make certain the little children would stay in their rooms. His partner, Rob, probably felt the same. If the child Medon was looking for was as dumb as to return to room, and they caught her, they would be promoted. Better pay, better benefits, better living conditions. But right now they were just chatting, that was until they heard voice's coming from room 409. But how? No one could have come in without them noticing...unless...he cursed under his breath, she portalled in. He now beckoned his partner with the unfortunate simple name to follow him.
Jozyne
Something was terribly wrong, as dreary as she was, she suddenly felt awake as she noticed the scared expression on Strynex's spiderly face, and the mess in her room. There was a window in her room...but she was story up, and could not fly well enough yet to support another person. In fact, she doubted she had had enough lessons to fly well enough at all. She turned invisible and hatched a plan. It was rather simple really, she hoped it would work.
Rob
His partner was always complaining about his position underneath Medon, he didn't like this or didn't like that. But now he was swearing to him he heard voices coming from room 409. Was he really that desperate? He hid his doubt on the child being able to portal at such a young age and followed his partner into the room. There was black cat doll sitting in the far corner of the room, he went to investigate. It had stitched on scar over one eye...other than that nothing was really special about it, other than it hadn't been there before. Maybe his partner wasn't that crazy after all. He reached a hand out to grab the doll, only for it to be stuck in midair."What the?" He exclaimed as he was just now noticing the clear spider silk in the air. This definitely wasn't hear before. He tried to swipe the sticky mess off, only to be stuck even further. He looked over to his partner, only to find he was stuck as well. Medon wouldn't like hearing how they screwed it up this time.
Strynex
No, the spider silk hadn't come out of his butt. He could generate it with hands with an amazing speed that he was rather proud of. Of course in his scared state he had been incapable of forming a perfect web, but instead had it haphazardly formed across the room. With enough space for him and Jozyne to escape. He felt a bit disappointed that she would be incapable of keeping the doll now that it was behind the web, but felt grateful that he had had it. He followed Jozyne, who insisted on taking the stairs, nobody was guarding the stairwell, as it could be locked. And when they got there it was. He had no idea what Jozyne was thinking, but when she motioned for him to go underneath it, he seemed to understand. He was not only half-spider, but could turn into one. He hoped he would be small enough to fit underneath the doorway.
Medon
He hadn't just come here for the child. He knew where she would be up to most points in her life. To just come here for the child and expect that the psychic hadn't guessed about that was foolishness. No, he was now taking a ride down to the forbidden part of the school. Accessible only by elevator, he had hacked into the wiring to make it go down to that part. The only way to get down there was to have your magical signature read. A thumbprint of sorts. And as the only person who had the proper magic signature was best not to be alerted of such things. He would know why he was being taken, and all things considered, he could refuse to give the signature if he so pleased. A magical signature cannot be forced.
Jozyne
As much as Jozyne disliked spiders, she helped Strynex, now a spider, squeeze underneath the door. This was done by having to make actual physical contact with a spider. Which she had never dared do before. But now the door was unlocked, and they were creeping down the stairs, Strynex had made sure to lock it behind him, any hindrance to anybody was good. She still had no clue why the men had wanted her, she was nothing special...the only thing special about her was that she was the best in class. She sighed lightly as she continued to head down the stairs.
Medon
A call on the comlink. It was from his two favorite screw ups, Rob and Gareth. He pressed the button to be able to talk. "What is it now? Did one of the kids escape and bite you?" He said with a sarcastic leer in his tone. "Well, not exactly, but I think your kid your looking for just did." Medon raised a brow. "What?! And you didn't tell me sooner? Where are they heading? Why aren't you after them?" He asked accusing. "Whoa, whoa, one question at a time!" Rob was speaking now. "We are kind of in a sticky situation, I'm not sure if it was your kid that escaped or an invisible spider." "And just what do you mean by that?" Medon asked, he had always had a short fuse. "What Rob means to say is we are stuck in spider web and can't get out, so were not certain if the kid who lives here is human or not..." Gareth. At least he was more serious about his job. Medon sighed, he had heard rumors of their being a spiderly being who had taken up residence in this school. But not room 409. He was in room 449. That could only mean that Jozyne was friends with that spider-creature. Not a good sign. "Where do you think they are now?" He said trying to keep his cool. "Huh, I dunno, probably heading down stairs, bout now." Medon nodded, "That is good, there are plenty of guards downstairs, I doubt they could sneak past them." A pause in the conversation. "You see, that's where there's a problem boss, they can turn invisible."
Jozyne
There were people dressed in black everywhere. They kinda looked like ninjas, only they wore more armor, and carried guns and not nun-chucks. Jozyne and Strynex could turn invisible, sure, but the main problem was that silence was not always easy in a place that echoed like crazy. What with the high ceilings and everything. And opening the door would be a noticeable thing. She bit her lip, trying to think her way out of this situation. She didn't want to leave the other students behind, but if the people here were only looking for her...no there were too many to just be here for her...she looked to Strynex, it was clear by the expression on his face that there was nothing they could do to help the others. They would just have to help themselves.
Medon
"They what??" Medon exclaimed with incredulity. As far as he knew this school did not teach the finer delicacies of turning invisible. That required either discovering it for yourself, or being able to control light waves, which this school did not teach. "Alert the others downstairs, lock the doors, and please get someone to get you out of the spider's web, I don't wan't you calling back." And at that he pressed the button to get back to what he was searching for in the first place. One of the five spirit stones. He flicked on a light.
Strynex
He watched helplessly as the men dressed in black began to lock the doors. He could probably escape very easily, all it required was climbing up the walls to get to an air vent, and climb in and out of the building. But Jozyne couldn't climb walls, and he definitely couldn't carry her, and he had lost all of his energy for portalling on that last portal home. Now they were trapped. He looked over to his only friend who seemed to be thinking as hard as she possible could, on a way out.
Jozyne
No, no that wouldn't work. There were too many of them. Distractions wouldn't work, unless... She looked over to the fire alarm, if she pulled that...no too noticeable. She was running out of options. She might have learned to have control over water, but had little experience with fighting. She watched as Strynex bit his lip nervously, waiting on her move. It was apparent he had no ideas on how to escape either. The air vent was their best bet. But flight had just barely been brushed upon, and she was certain that wouldn't work. But she gave Strynex the signal, and attempted to fly up.
Medon
Finally, after searching for what seemed to be far too long he had found it. The spirit stone. It glimmered in the light among books that had been long abandoned due to their dangerous teaching techniques. This little beauty was down not because it was particularly dangerous, but because it could be. If used incorrectly. That was where Jozyne came into play. But she would just have to wait, he could find her again he was sure. But this was his true goal. It was made of pure Dark Energy. No, not the energy you find out in space, but a form of magic, often not taught in schools due to its unpredictability. He couldn't touch it no, it would sear off his skin, fortunately he had worn just the gloves for such an occasion. He picked up glittering black jewel, turning it over in his hands admiring its beauty. He could sell it on the black market for quite an amazing price, but, he had better plans for it.
Strynex
Needless to say Jozyne was a flapping, flopping failure at flight. How she ever got to the air vent he had opened would forever be a mystery to him. However there were problems, her loud flapping had caused some of the guards down below to look up, and now the open air vent was noticed. And now they were talking on their comlinks.
Jozyne
Jozyne had never felt like more of a failure in life. She didn't have problem forming her wings to transform onto her back. But something was missing, as though she hadn't designed them correctly, either that or it was just because this was her first flight. But none the matter, she had gotten the attention of the guards, and now they were crawling through the air-vents hoping they didn't fire up in their direction.
Medon
He finally had what he wanted. And then some. The most promising children in the facility were to be taken, brain-wiped and trained. He was now heading up the elevator and was on the first floor. "Sir! I'm glad you're here! Someone's in the air vents!" Medon shook his head. "Not just one someone, a someone and a something. Let her go, if she cannot fight just yet, then she is of no use to me. I have what I need for now." He said showing the stone to the lower in command guard. "Yes sir, and about the other children sir? Do we brain wipe them now or-" "We mind-wipe them later, when we are certain they are secured." At that he nodded to his guard, and set off with his men into the night.
Strynex
He knew the way of the air ducts like the back of his six hands. It was a simple really, after having to use these to get around without being noticed he had learned the way. He looked back at Jozyne, who seemed a tad scared, but not much, which was more than he could say for himeself. He was terrified. But not taser-gun fire or other wise was shot in their direction, which confused him, and made him think they had other motives for coming to this school. "Well, this is the exit." He said opening the final air vent that led to the roof. Jozyne stood up and stretched, it appeared she was attempting to be braver than she felt, which Strynex admired in her. She had courage.
Jozyne
Jozyne ducked down quickly after she heard voices coming from down below. She looked down, it was a long drop, and saw several men hauling along passed out students as though they were potato sacks. She felt an urge to want to rescue them. What had they done to deserve this? Then she saw a man who looked very familiar, he was different from the rest of the men. His outfit had green accents on it, and he had a cybernetic eye. She tried to guess where she had seen him before, but to no avail. "Come on, we need to leave." Strynex said looking concerned. Jozyne nodded, not trusting her mouth to not form a whimper. She then formed her wings, (they were based off a dragon's) and glided clumsly to the ground while Strynex climbed down, using a string of spider thread to make the process go faster. She looked over at her friend. "What now?" She was scared, she never had liked the woods at night.
Strynex
It was dark, but the lady who had transformed him had also given him cat-like night-vision, so all was well. But for Jozyne, why he bet she could hardly see a foot in front of her, if not less. "Come on, we just need to wait till the police get here..." "And until then?" She asked seeming afraid. "We hide, come on, I'll show you the place I use to hide before I found this school, its rather nearby." He had a dreading feeling that when the police came they would take here away, not because of anything she had done, but because it was not safe for her here anymore. This worried him, he knew he couldn't stay invisible forever and hide, he sighed and took her hand, leading her to the abandoned house.
Jozyne
Strynex had been right, the shelter was not easy to find, but not far away either. She hoped the men would not return, and the police would be here soon. She looked over at Strynex who was still holding her hand for some reason, and he appeared to have a somber expression on his face. "What's wrong Strynex?" She asked tilting her head to the side, releasing her hand from his grasp. "Nothing..." He said. But Jozyne could tell that was a lie. But she was not the type to pry, and by now exhaustion was hitting her in waves, and she could not stay awake any longer. She leaned against Strynex and fell asleep.
