This is a story from the perspective of a Nequese, a small rodent-like creature that is often used as cannon fodder by villains. Much like a goblin or kobold, they are considered filthy, violent, and general nuisances meant to be eradicated whenever found. The protagonist, Mak, finds himself in the rather odd position of an adventurer in the making, with all of the dangers and prejudices that come with it.
Naturally, this story goes to some rather dark places, so readers be warned.
This is my first attempt at a story, so I apologize for my lack of skill.
