June 17th 1896
Alenia woke up from a deathly dream. Horror struck upon her face as the blood flowed out of her mouth. Only to find out she had passed out from the pain. She saw Imperial standing above her with a look of rage blood dripping from his canine pearly teeth. He grinned striking at her neck before she could think she put her hands up to block him a deathly blow was struck upon his face. Looking at her palms a black magic had come out of her hands. Imperial lay off whimpering, suddenly she sat up in her tent panting and sweaty.
"Another nightmare?" He spoke up looking at her with love. She glanced away from his handsome green eyes. He reached out to touch her hands but she pulled away. "Don't touch me, I might hurt you." She said with fear in her soft voice.
Isaac was perplexed by this answer. "Hurt me how?" he said to her with a worried tone. "Its nothing, Its just everything I touch ends up dying. I am cursed.." She said sobbing. Isaac wanted very much to hold her but he respected her wishes handing her a blanket as he wrapped it around her. She looked at him tears streaming down her face. " Why are you so good to me?" She asked him, "I don't deserve it. Besides I know you have love for my sister." She continued. He put his finger to her lips. "Shh..Anya is not coming back, if she does I have accepted that My heart must move on. My heart has chosen you, No matter how I try to ignore it I can't. I am in love with you Alenia. I don't care what it gets me. Even if it gets me the fate David had..." He said softly trying to reassure her. 153Please respect copyright.PENANA9EJySvIQEn
"Remember what we talked about yesterday?".."About not being afraid of weather to love or not..Anya is; lost. And I- I can't live my life knowing that I may be stuck forever waiting.
"You know the fate David had was because of me right? It was my fault that he died. I am cursed, as a savior of Idor I don't do a very-" She was interrupted again by his finger on her lips. Within a moment his lips was connected with hers. She didn't pull away from the intimate kiss that she felt with him. His lips were soft and pink and they felt like heaven against hers. 153Please respect copyright.PENANAcLCaNXtYm3
"Alenia, It wasn't your fault, we all know that Imperial is the one that struck him down, the hairs, the mind potion..He is trying everything he can. But..he won't win." He said whispering in her ear as he kissed her neck. She felt a tingle down her spine.
She pulled away, "Please stop touching me like this..After.." She paused remembering what King Akkar had done to her. "Never mind, I do not wish to talk about it..Just please get your hands off me.." she sighed getting up moving out of the small tent. She walked out to the middle of the campsite. It seemed like she couldn't control her powers only in a time of death would they truly work. Many answers needed to be found but there wasn't enough time. She was still looking for the jeweled sword that seemed to vanish when Imperial kidnapped her with his wicked plan to derail her. Where he had taken it she didn't know. But it seemed the spirit of Idor would continue with or without the sword at her side.
Alenia had walked to the edge of the encampment trying to muster the strength to turn her powers her on. She began thinking about David, And everything that has happened to her. Anger began to bubble up in her soul as she clenched her fists. "It's not fair.. This prophecy, has ruined my life, I've had no guidance, no one to train me." She screamed to the ocean with her strength. Her palms opened as a black light burst from the callus of her hands. She was startled by it as it shot into the ocean. Dead fish began to rise to the surface she was horrified by this sight.
Alenia closed her palms but it didn't seem to help, it spread up her arms like a black liquid. "No, No.. shut off, go away." She said as it began to turn her eyes black as death. She whimpered to herself as she collapsed on the ground. "I do not wish to kill.."She said as the light began to clear. It turned white as it burst out of her eyes. Lighting like a beacon in the sky she exploded. Lighting everything up in a glowing white light. Her hair flamed glowing white as the fish that were on the surface dropped back into the ocean one by one. This startled her, "I have the gift of life and death..?" She asked herself. The light dimmed and faded, she looked at her palms in horror. "What am I?" She asked out-loud. "Who am I?, What is this.."she continued.
Samarra had seen the light from many miles away, as well as many other inhabitants of Idor. It lit up the sky. All the way to the kingdom of King Akkar. He was sitting on his balcony contemplating life when the faint light exploded in the dark sky. "What the hell is that?" He questioned himself. "It must be the humans practicing light magic again" he said waving it off as some human mistake.
Samarra found her way to beach where Alenia was contemplating taking her life again. "Alenia!" Samarra shouted as she reached the Silver shores. Alenia about jumped out of her skin at the sound of her name. "What is it, who's there. Oh, it's you..What do you want?" She asked her.
Samarra just stood there for a moment in silence. "I saw you light up the dark skies with a beacon of light. It guided me to you." She said softly. "I am here to train you before you face my brother." She continued. Alenia scowled in confusion, "Wait Imperial is your brother?" She asked her. "What is everyone talking about me facing him?," She said.
Samarra spoke in a hushed tone she didn't know who could be listening to their conversation about Imperial. He had many followers of the darkness, Anything or anyone could be listening. "We must get you to a safe haven away from everyone. I must teach you the ways of the light. Alenia you have the gift of life and death. Imperial wishes to strip you of that power for himself. He wishes to free the tenebrous tempest. If she gets out that will mean the end of Idor itself. Come get on my back I will explain when we have arrived." She instructed.
Awkwardly she climbed onto Samarra's back holding her neck with both hands, she began to sprint as she dodged around trees and bushes. They must've been going at the speed of light because Alenia couldn't keep track of what was passing behind or in-front of her. Suddenly it felt as if she was moving through space and time itself. She was nowhere but everywhere at once. Her whole life was laid out in front of her eyes. She finally began to understand her purpose in Idor. It wasn't a cherished happy ending that she had wished for. In fact it was filled with many sorrows. She had been through so many that she had lost count.
She wasn't even on the back of Samarra anymore. In-fact she was sitting on a white crystal encrusted throne. Confused she tried to get up but it was like she was stuck like glue. An old woman entered the throne room. "Alenia we finally have the pleasure of meeting." She said in a croaky voice. Alenia looked at the old woman for a moment, It was if she was staring at a mirror image of herself. "I've been waiting a long time to explain to you your destiny." She said with joy on her face. When she smiled it was like a million wrinkles appeared on her face. It was as if every muscle in her body lifted off the throne, she found herself walking towards the old woman. "Who are you?" she asked her. The old woman laughed, "In all due time, I'm sure you will figure that out. But I have got something to show you." she said. Time didn't follow in the rules and constraints. Here in this place, Time moved much quicker. It was September 17th 1903. In this space time flowed quicker than in normal space. It was as if it was out of time itself. The dates were still kept for sanity by the inhabitants.
Alenia was confused by the mysteriousness of the woman. Raising her eyebrow she reluctantly followed along. The ancient looking woman walked over to an ivy covered wooden door. The woman stopped at the door, "Now what you are going to see may not be pleasant, it will be painful both emotionally and physically. But this is how I must see how your powers will come to surface. What emotions strike to conjure the gift deep inside of you." The woman said with a stern face.
Alenia turned to the woman in shock, "Are you mad?, Who are you, What is this place?,Where is the white wolf?"Alenia asked one question after the other as the woman stood patiently by the door. "Alenia, Samarra transported you here, for protection from Imperial..." She smiled patting Alenia's cheek. Alenia shook her head in disbelief. "You know, I don't even know where here is. There has been to many misery's in my life. All I want is answers not more questions. I am supposed to be this legendary prophetess, but you want to know what I think? I think everyone has gotten the wrong girl. I am here by mistake..." She said as she sat down on the marble stairs of the large structure.
It had a ceiling that mirrored the sky, birds that Alenia have never seen before were flying high above her. The hallway she was in went for miles as far as the eyes could see. White pillars stood every 6 feet from each other. They were decorated with the most beautiful patterns. Each pillar represented a generation in Idor. The ones that held the structure of the door were blank for they hadn't been written yet.
"Alenia my dear," the woman finally spoke. Alenia turned around expecting answers but was only plagued with more questions. "I may speak only in riddles. The overseer of Idor commands it. You may not understand, but what you seek is through these doors. In the world between worlds, you will find the answers." She said as she turned around to walk down the long hallway.
Before Alenia could call her to wait she had vanished into the mist. Alenia sighed in frustration staring at the door tapping her foot. Emotions flooded through her as she thought of what the woman had said. "The world between worlds.. Does that mean there is a door for my old world?" She wondered as she took the handle of the rusty ivy covered maple wood door. Pushing it open she walked through into a blackness.
"HELLO!" She called out but her voice only echoed. She stood there for a moment. "Well this doesn't have any answers." She said turning around to go back through the door but the door had vanished. A wave of panic flooded through Alenia's veins. "Where's the door?" Alenia said as she hyperventilated.
"The door will not return until you have accepted your past," A voice spoke from behind her. Alenia whipped around to find a young woman in a long white cloak with hood over her head that hid her face. "Who are you?" Alenia asked her. Her heart was about ready to pound through her chest from the fear that plagued her. The woman took off her cloak to reveal an astonishing discovery. The woman was beautiful, Creamy white skin, eyes that shined like crystals and were pearly white. "Who are you?" Alenia asked
"That is a discovering you have to make for yourself, Idor sent me here. Because you are lost. It's time you discover what your purpose is here. Follow me," She said in a gentle soft voice." She said reaching out her hand. Alenia hesitated for a moment as she looked up at her woman "I have too many questions to take your hand, you say I have to accept my past?, What does that even mean?" She asked her. The woman looked at her calmly as she gently got on her knees, "Alenia, You must come with me, I know none of this makes any sense. But you have a much higher calling than you realize. I never got the time to tell you, Your father left before I could tell you the truth."
Alenia was confused by her words. "The truth? The truth about what? My father? Who are you?" The woman sighed and sat down next to her wrapping her arms around her in a big hug. "Please don't be mad at me for keeping this from you.." She started to say. "you are scaring me.."Alenia said with a panic in her tone.
The woman kneeled down before her looking into her ocean blue eyes with her own pearly white eyes. The color had long since been stripped from her pupils.
She was silent for a long moment, "I am not sure how you will take this.."
She said looking into Alenia's eyes. "Take what. Who are you..?" She asked her.
The figure was silent as tears spread from her eyes. "This is not the life I have wanted for you, the life I wanted for myself, I wanted so much for you. And yet I couldn't give it, But you seemed to have grown up ...well.. I am your mother.. Well In spirit I am..Samarra.. Is me. My soul has departed but my spirit has split to Samarra to complete my mission on Idor. To help you, But I can't return.. You must help me,.. "
Alenia was startled by what the woman had said so far. "You mean to tell me, That I'm from this world?"
She said as she looked around the blackness. Her mother nodded, "You were only a child when ... My sister.. attacked my kingdom. I told your father to take you back to his land and wait. I was captured and never came for you. You ended up growing up in the wrong land."
By this point sorrow, and rage steamed through her. She clenched the marble floor with her nails. Alenia pushed her mother out of the way as her magic exploded out of her. Black in the right hand, and white in the other. They began to swirl together. "I have no control! I have no control!"Alenia screamed as they continued to swirl together.
The oak doors flew open as the old woman rushed through. 'I didn't expect for this to happen. You must leave here, I'm the only one who can take it." she hollered at the young women. Her mother rushed out of the dark place, shutting the great big oak doors behind her. She was worried for her daughter, rushing down the halls she entered into the throne room. "Guards at ease." She said passing them. Sitting down on the crystal encrusted throne. "The old woman will take care of this, Im sure, I have more pressing matters to attend to, My soul is disintegrating, My spirit must be returned to my body soon.." She said as she sat down on the white encrusted crystal throne.
In the Oak room things were taking a different play. The black and white swirled around Alenia as she screamed. The old woman took every blow. "I want you to think!," The old woman yelled through the distorted noise. "Think about what!, All I can feel is death!" Alenia screamed. The old woman continued to absorb all the power as if she had handled it some time ago. "I want you to think of the life that is flowing through you, Not of the death!.. The life!" She said as she grasped both magic's in her hand. "I will hold them while you absorb them back into yourself!" The old woman explained through the roars of life, and death fighting each-other.
Alenia was startled at all of this power that swirled around her. She closed her eyes listening to the humming around her. Opening her eyes they became pearly white as she looked at the mist she had control over. Two warriors stood beside each-other. It was the most beautiful sight that Alenia had ever laid her optics on. "Who are you, I have so many questions?" Alenia asked the two lights.
They only looked at her with no answers, They then began to battle each other once more and Immense pain began to inflict Alenia's mind. Faintly she heard the old woman in the background telling her to control it. Looking around she instinctively put her hand up and shouted a command from her rosy colored lips. "Hoki ki ki toku wairua, Return to my soul!" She shouted. The warriors looked at her calmly as they retreated their swords and began to dissolve into the air. The old woman holding the tethers was thrown backwards into the wall. She got up with a struggle for she was wounded by the blast that threw her.
Alenia looked at her hands as intricate tattoos formed on both of her palms. She looked down as the patterns formed. Looking back up at the old woman, 'What do these patterns mean?" She asked the woman.
The woman croaked with a small raspy voice. "It means you have finally accepted who you are, You now have control over the two." She said with a smile. The old woman hobbled over to Alenia showing her, her own palms. Alenia was astonished at the same markings of the symbols on the ancient woman's hands. "How did you get those marks," Alenia asked the woman. The old woman put her arm around Alenia's shoulder. "I too was gifted with this power when Idor was just beginning, I was shown images of a woman who would one day save Idor, I began to think it was me and I told the Holy Aura of my new found power, The only thing they did was strip me of it and contain it.But powers like these can't be contained forever. They slipped into the evil enchantress' palms. Which is what she blasted you with when you were just a wee child.." The old woman croaked, "From that moment on your destiny was sealed.. And your mother's spirit was then split to keep an eye on Imperial,"
Alenia fell down to her knees as tears slipped from her eyes, she pounded the floor with her fists in anger,"How could my destiny be of something I have no control over, Why is it me that Idor has chosen?!" She screamed, suddenly finding herself back beside Samarra blinking around her was only the dark forest. "You fell asleep," Samarra calmly said, "I brought you here until you awoke, Did you find your answer..?" Samarra spoke, "You were mumbling in your sleep,"
Alenia only nodded as she looked down at her palms, The intricate tattoos still there, "Yes..I have accepted my fate..But you must also accept yours." She said looking up at Samara
Samara curiously looked at Alenia for an answer, "I do not understand, My fate? Did you find something about my fate..as well?" Samara spoke back intrigued.
Alenia nodded and only uttered a few ancient words from her rosy lips. "reditus zréck .. Come back"
This caused Samarra to go into a trance herself as her spirit awoke in her body. Memories flooded back painfully, as her spirit bursts forth from her white pelt in the image of her mother. Another light came out of the heavens and was conjoined. A blasting white light threw Alenia back against a solid Oak tree. Samarra screamed in pain as the transition took place, every fiber of her being was ripped apart and reassembled.
Alenia could do nothing as her mother's soul was joined with her spirit. Samarra fell down as the wolf was parted from her, she began to transform as the white wolf was ripped from her being lifeless. Her mother stood before her glowing with a radiant light that made Alenia 's eyes run like a river.
"Mom!" Alenia shouted with happiness, something finally came out of the darkness of her life she was now reunited with her true family. "What of the wolf?" She asked her.
"The wolf-part of me is no more, for you have freed me from that life and that confusion. While this is indeed a joyous moment, we now have a darker task ahead of us, we must put an end to what I should of long ago. Only you can my dearest daughter, and I will teach you how" She said as her mother kissed her forehead and held her in an embrace.
"Where do you reside," She had asked, "Just south of where Sama-.." Alenia stopped short as her eyes lay at the lifeless corpse of what was Samarra. "What is it," Her mother asked. "Nothing, I just grew fond of Samarra..Now she is no more, won't Imperial notice your return?, wouldn't we need to keep him fooled. If I have the gift of life, I could return you here once more?" Alenia questioned.
Her mother pondered, "No Idor herself wouldn't even allow that, What you can do is give this animal life again, She won't be the same, but her body and her legacy will live on.." Her mother replied.
"I don't know how to do that, I've just barely accepted who I am to be for Idor." Alenia said doubting herself. " Alenia , Trust me and give life," her mother spoke gently as she guided her right hand towards the body of the animal, "No doubt, only faith of life and in yourself." She said.
Alenia only nodded as she watched a dim white glow flow down her veins and into the animal, suddenly the white pelted wolf was breathing, and in moments it sat up, aware of its surroundings. It caught the eye of Alenia and it imprinted.
What was left of Samarra, was only a hollow wolf spirit any normal like wolf would have sprinted running from the humans in its presence. But because this body was no longer part of Alenia 's mother, a simple spirit was placed. It imprinted on the very first thing its new eyes saw. That just so happened to be Alenia .
As Alenia began to leave with her mother the wolf followed right behind. She turned around and tried to shoo it away into the wilds of Idor. To no avail the wolf stayed persistent, and stubborn. Alenia looked at her mother in frustration, "You didn't happen to know that it would imprint on me, did you." She asked her.
Her mother only giggled, "First lesson of giving life, often in animals. They will imprint to the owner of life, like a baby girl imprints to its mother." She said with a smile pinching Alenia s cheeks.
Alenia blinked looking back at the wolf smiling a half cocked grin as she kneeled down. "Your name is Samarra, I am not sure if you can understand me. Samarra I have given you life, I am not sure how these powers work. But I am sure grateful to have you back." Alenia said to her hugging the wolf, it only sat there seemingly to understand.
Alenia stood to her feet and joined her mother patting her leg in signal for Samarra to follow along. Instinctively it followed, as Alenia patted the top of its head. Leading her mother to the camp beaming happiness. When she arrived, everyone was awestruck to see the Queen of old alive and well and were even more shocked to find out Alenia was the Princess of Idor. But in the shadows something darker watched in fuming anger. Imperial's eyes fumed with hatred for the glowing happiness in the camp. He was furious that his one sister like family had returned to Idor in her form, he had hopes to keep her spirit confused. "This means war..Ivalon..." Imperial snarled his lips as he padded further into the shadows of the forest vanishing out of sight. Imperial traveled far into the kingdom of Nytl'aquia where King Akkar sat bored on his throne. Instantly perking up strong when his father entered the room. "You have failed me my son, The queen of Nytl, has returned from the heavens, Alenia now knows her true heritage and destiny. You have failed me Akkar." Imperial said bitterly to him.
Akkar hung his head in shame "Father I-.." he paused as a grim smile grew over his face and his sadness left him in exchange for a smitten evil smile. "Father.. Fetch..Anya. I may yet have use for her now, You thought I was out of plans. But father you are mistaken." he laughed loudly. It echoed through the empty halls of the castle. Imperial only growled, 'So prideful and arrogant, whatever your plans are for the wretched Anya. You best figure it out before I disgrace you and no longer call you my son." Imperial barked baring his teeth in anger. Retreating from the royal room, he left the castle returning back into the wilds of Idor.
King Akkar smiled deeply as hatred blossomed further into his heart. 'I may have plans yet for you Anya, first. Let us return you to your former glory." He sneered.
Stepping off his throne he wandered down into the dungeons, There Anya lay shivering as more of her decayed. "Don't worry my sweet Anya," he said clasping the cold iron prison bars. "I have a plan for you," he said grimly.
Anya in an instance came roaring to the cage door, snarling at him trying to attack. Akkar glared at her smashing her with black magic, It threw her back into the corner of the cell. "Hmph," Akkar sneered, "We will have to keep that corruptible heart, as for your beauty. That I can easily return." He said laughing strolling out of the dark dungeon leaving Anya to her terror.
Anya lay there in silence as the darkness inside of her corrupt her every-day. The only thing that seemed to keep her alive was the thought of her true love Isaac. She had completely forgotten about her sister Alenia . She didn't know what became of her love but she would continue to fight everyday of the sickness to return to his arms.
