Why do parents always compare their children to other parents' children? This is fairly stupid. I understand that parents want to motivate their children by giving them competition, but really, it's not working.
It's really depressing hearing how other children are way better than us. It lowers our self esteem and makes us want to give up doing what we're doing. We want to give up just so that we won't feel inferior due to our parents' harsh comparison.
Parents, comparing(and complaining) makes us feel sad. We need encouragements too okay? And do you guys ever realize where we shine? You need to be more optimistic! Yes, we may not be as smart as Einstein, but we did make the effort to be like him. Now that you've said how horrible we are, we stopped trying. We think that the possible are impossible. Parents, while you are talking about how bad your children are, do you realize that you are crashing their dream? Do you realize that you are pulling the children further away from their goal?
Stop this! Stop the act of crashing humanity.
