Present time in the Birch Clan:-
"Welcome Lord," the grandmaster kowtowed to the King(Ni Min Ju). The King was there to visit the Pavilion and meet the disciples for the discussion over an important matter.
The discussion was over, and Ni Min Ju started looking around and suddenly noticed Xiao Xingchen; he kept looking at him, mouth wide open; he was amazed by the beauty.
Blue eyes, which were just like a magnificent deep sea; the white outfit and an innocent smile he looked more alluring.
With a grin on his face, he was about to go to talk to Xiao Xingchen, but the servant called him and told him that the lunch was ready, and Grandmaster is waiting for him in the dining hall.
While he was eating, his mind felt diverted to the Grandmaster.
He asked Ni Min Ju, "My Lord, Is there anything concerning you? Is food not good?"
Too deep into the slumber of his thoughts, Ni Min Ju did not reply. Grandmaster called him 2-3 times, and suddenly Ni Min Ju realized that Grandmaster was calling him.
"No, No, Everything is fine, but who was that person? I never saw him here in any of my previous visits."
In a pleased tone, Grandmaster replied, He is "Xiao Xingchen, the master in the Maple Pavilion. I called him as I needed some assistance. He will be going back in some days. I hope the King is ok with that?" Grandmaster asked earnestly.
Covering his evil intention, he said with a grin on his face, "No, No, It's all ok."
Lunch was over, and Ni Min Ju was back in his palace.
He kept pondering about Xiao Xingchen. He was mesmerized by his beauty and thought of making him his concubine.
Next morning,
To know and get a hold of Xiao Xingchen, Ni Min Ju asked Grandmaster to send Xiao Xingchen as he needed his assistance regarding a trivial matter.
Unaware of King's intention, Xiao Xingchen agreed and sat in the cart sent by Ni Min Ju for Xiao Xingchen.
The Cart stopped in front of the Palace.
"The Palace is so beautiful," Xiao Xingchen said with astonishment.
"Please rest inside; King is on the way," Kowtowed the coachman and left.
Xiao Xingchen went to look around and was amazed by the fountain, which was at the entrance. It was huge, and with leaves falling everywhere, it looked more beautiful.
"Welcome to the Palace," said Ni Min Ju.
Xiao Xingchen turned around, kowtowed, and said
"I am grateful that I could see your palace before leaving Birch Clan."
Ni Min Ju smiled. The servant served the tea to both of them. They talked for a long time and then went to look around; Xiao Xingchen was amazed to see the interior.
"Is this the previous King?". Xiao Xingchen said while looking at a huge painting.
In The Painting, "The King was proudly sitting on the throne with an evil smirk and a bloody sword."
"Hmm.." replied the Ni Min Ju
Xiao Xingchen started feeling dizzy as Ni Min Ju had blent something in the tea. He was craving Xiao Xingchen so severely and knowing that Xiao Xingchen being a nobleman, would not agree to sleep with him he had to use some tactic. Xiao Xingchen was about to hit the ground, and Ni Min Ju was about to get hold of him, but suddenly a hand approached Xiao Xingchen and grabbed him.
"Xue Yang!!" exclaimed the King. Xue Yang lifted Xiao Xingchen in his arms.
"I have come here to get Xiao Xingchen. King of Maple Clan has asked Xiao Xingchen to return immediately."
Ni Min Ju gestured and allowed them to go.
While they were going back, Xue Yang turned around while walking out and stared at Ni Min Ju in a way that his eyes were telling Ni Min Ju that Xiao Xingchen belongs to him. (Ni Min Ju felt defeated)
He sat on the throne with a wave of anger on his face and clutching his fist, suppressing his anger.
On their way back,
Xue Yang sat in the cart and thought, "I won't let him touch Xiao Xingchen." He knew Ni Min Ju had a craving for men, he knew Ni Min Ju is cunning and tactic, who will indeed find some way to have Xiao Xingchen.
While he was diving into his deep thoughts, Xiao Xingchen woke up and was startled to see Xue Yang and face turned red when he realized that he was sleeping on Xue Yang's shoulder the whole time.
They both just kept staring at each other with Xue Yang's one hand on Xiao Xingchen's shoulder, which he placed while Xiao Xingchen was sleeping. Close to each other that Xue Yang could smell Xiao Xingchen's fruity fragrance. Unable to verbally exchange feelings, the eyes had said it all.
"We have reached!!" The coachman said, waking both of them from their beautiful world.
Xiao Xingchen immediately sobered himself and stepped out of the cart.
Grandmaster, Yu Ziyuan, and Ji Li were waiting for them; Ji Li hugged Xiao Xingchen. Xiao Xingchen kowtowed the elders and picked Ji Li in his arms, and Ji Li started telling him about the things he did all day.
They had dinner, and everybody went back to their room.
Unable to go back to Maple Clan the same day, Xue Yang planned to stay awake and guard Xiao Xingchen.
Not able to sleep, Xiao Xingchen went out for a walk to the water garden and saw fireflies around the lotus plants making the view more mesmerizing.
Xue Yang stayed back and kept staring at Xiao Xingchen, who was wearing a white hnafu and was standing on the wooden pavement, cutting through the water garden with fireflies flying on the lotus and the moonlight which lightened the whole place resulting in making him look more mesmerizing. Xue Yang fell in love with him all over again.
Suddenly,
"Smash!!" somebody hit Xue Yang on the head, Xue Yang fainted and fell straight on the ground. On the other hand, somebody covered Xiao Xingchen's mouth from behind.
Xiao Xingchen, with fear in his eyes, struggled to escape; amidst the struggle, the locket which Xiao Xingchen was wearing broke off and fell on the ground.
They used spiritual power on Xiao Xingchen. Being spiritually weak, he could not stand it and passed out.
"Let's take him now," whispered the guard.
