The squeak of a mouse in the distance, the creak of the floorboards held an echo, Benson lied wide awake as he waited. Eventually, he got up and went to the lone table that sat against the wall in his room which held up a small candle. While feeling the sides of the table, he felt what he was searching for and pressed a soft spot on the side of the table.

The sound of some sort of mechanism could be heard before a small cut out piece of the bottom of the table unlatched itself on one end and popped down, revealing a key. Reaching through the bars to the small window in his door, Benson stretched his arm down and fondled with the lock to his door before finally unlatching it.
His door slowly crept open, as to not make any noise. Once it was all the way open, he tiptoed his way through the prisoners building and down the stairs. Guards instantly noticed him when he reached the barred door at the base level.

“Benson, it’s late,” spoke one of the guards.
“I know, but you know I can’t keep him waiting,” Benson replied.

With a slight nod, the guard unlocked the barred door and allowed Benson through. He continued travelling with a similar meeting at the gate to go outside of the prisoner's area of the city. When he was outside, he kept to the shadows until he reached a long dark alley that crept behind two strings of houses and shops that weren’t far from where he came from.
“I see you made it,” spoke a voice from within the shadows.

“That’s the goal Benson. Anyways, is there any news about Kai trying to escape his imprisonment? Give me some information, killing him earlier than planned would never be of any issue to us,” the voice spoke out as he asked.

“Honestly, he’s got a good head on his shoulders. Not too good of a fighter though, I took him down pretty easily in training the other day. He hasn’t mentioned much besides how he is going to get out one way or another and blah blah blah. The typical talk of a rebel that was caught and had to fight in Wravalon. We know how that will end though,” Benson finally finished as he bragged.

The figure of the person he was speaking too took a couple of steps forward but only to make out the outline of his body a little bit clearer, his face still hidden in the darkness.

“Leon, the Expanse is rough right now but it should lighten up in about ten or twenty rises. The Outer Waters are about a week out, we should use this time to inspect our prisoner and to make sure we are fully prepared for what’s out there,” Dulgit stated kindly from the side.
“I agree, make sure everyone is continuing training, we have plenty of weapons on board. Check provisions for food and other accommodations, let’s make sure we have what we need before we temporarily leave the Expanse,” Leon ordered.

The changes that Faerlu have gone through in such a short amount of time, from Kai leading to now Leon. From Portam being an important member of the Faction to being a traitor. Then to their travels being halted due to lack of a plan, to now having a plan. All of their ideas on what this Journey might have been are gone now, life is happening on its terms, and these members of Faerlu are being throw into the fire.
Leon stood there, while thinking of their trials and tribulations, was also thinking of the discussion that some of the members had.

This Sacer infused box or sphere of some sort is the way to Anucis, our new home,” Leon stated while mutters could be heard throughout the room as many members stood chattering in disapproval.
“Hey!” Leon spoke louder, this caught everyone's attention. “We aren’t asking, but we aren’t forcing you as well. This Booster can stop at the next available drop off and you can go try to have your freedom, or at least whatever freedom you think you will have. Kais’ dream was this, he wrote it down for sakes!”

‘I’m surprised nobody wanted to leave today,’ Leon thought to himself.
Hiding his excitement of what was to come, slight fear crept over him at what awaited them as well. His feet took him to the door that led down the stairs to the Prisoners Cells.
