“Again!”

Clink! Clank! Clink!
Swords could be heard clashing amongst the deck. During the day deckhands would stick to the sides and maintenance the Booster as needed while those more battle structured would stick to the middle where they would train constantly. At this time of day, the two moons were beginning to rise, while the Flame of Fuxa was beginning its decent.
Aida swung mightily at her opponent, their swords would come together before Aida would swing at a different angle over and over again. Finally, her opponent would be overpowered at her strength and skill.

“Again!” Aida yelled once more.
“Being this dominant regarding your training won’t bring him back,” a voice spoke out from behind.

Aida stood there, her braided blue hair laid down upon her back as she panted and kept her head down in frustration.

“Who are you to speak anything of him?!” She roared while turning, becoming face to face with the source of the comment.

Before her stood a man with a scruffy beard and short brown hair that was neatly trimmed. He wasn’t very muscular but still showed some strength. Usually, Aida thought he was kind of charming, but at this moment he was anything but that.

“Speak Dulgit!” Aida spoke loudly.

Walking over to the stand of weapons that was next to where they stood, Dulgit reached in to pull out two blades that were medium-length but held a slight curve upon them. Looking over to Aidas previous training partner, he nodded away for him to leave. The man quickly scattered away as he wished to receive no more punishment amongst this training session.

“You know, I’m not your enemy. I actually look up to Kai even though I’m pretty sure I’m slightly older than him,” Dulgit began. “There are eighteen stars upon our sky Aida. Only eighteen. If we spent our whole lives looking at only one of them, we wouldn’t even be able to tell which of the other seventeen were which. There wouldn’t be a point in the rest of them.”
“What the hell are you getting at?” Aida said while dumbfounded.

Dulgit let out a slight chuckle while he walked ahead in front of Aida. Turning fully around to face her, he held his two blades up to prepare himself.

“I suppose that did sound slightly silly, maybe it just sounded better in my head or maybe it’s just not the right timing,” he chuckled once more.
“Nothing is funny right now, but it's obvious you want to train. I have no problem beating you to a pulp at the moment since you talked against Kais’ plan yesterday and now want to make comments regarding him. You have no idea who he truly was,” Aidas anger about the whole situation was apparent.
“I do know, he was our beloved leader. I have coped the way that I do, but I believe after how long it has been, it’s time to help you cope as well.”

Aida held her single sword high to prepare as well, then after a moment she lowered it. Walking over to the weapons stand she placed hers back upon it.

“I don’t need your help Dulgit,” she said before walking away.

Dulgit stood there by himself, holding his two blades to his sides.
‘Maybe eventually she’ll get through it, that’s all I want after all,’ he thought to his self.

“So, what are we missing here? What caused you to do this?” Leon asked firmly.

When he had reached Portam’s cell the man looked less recognizable. His time down there for sure was putting a wear on his appearance. The black patches of hair upon his head wear longer than they were before, and his beard was reaching his chest now with grays peeking through.

“You’re missing it all Leon mate, ay you found me out in the most peculiar of ways. But let me be brutally honest here, you can’t accomplish anything. Even if that Kai lad was here, it was already over before it began lad,” Portam spoke cheerful as if he had won a battle that had yet to be fought.

Leons frustration was rising but he controlled himself enough to be able to continue his interrogation.

“I see so you must have been some soldier of Sygnen or Relnad that was a deserter or a pathetic weak man, you owed one to them and figured Faerlu was the perfect opportunity,” Leon spoke out as much nonsense as he could, hoping something would strike a chord.
“You have no idea what you’re saying boy,” Portam responded.
“I bet you have no family, probably was some factionless loser like the rest of us and you took the weak way out by joining the Dusk Alliance. If I had to guess, you did something terrible and was banished there by your Faction and was sentenced there for being a disappointment to the oh so strong leaders of the Expanse. They probably laughed at your pitiful image, such a weak man...” Leon carried on.
“Shut your mouth boy,” Portam spoke quietly with his head down.
“They probably laughed at you in front of everyone as they made their decision as well, didn’t they?” Leon noticed something was working as the reaction Portam was giving began to change slowly.
“I said to be quiet Leon lad.”

He dragged his chair closer to the bars that came down from the ceiling as he continued to speak to Portam who was on the other side.

“You probably were the lowest rank in your Faction also, I could see you struggling to be anything. Coming for a Faction that actually would’ve continued to show you appreciation for who you are but instead you wanted to be humiliated by the Dusk-,” Leon was cut off this time.
“I TOLD YOU TO SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU LITTLE SHIT,” Portam roared as he grabbed the bars so tightly that Leon swore, they began to bend a bit.

Spit flew out of the prisoner's mouth and some even stuck to his beard as he yelled. Leon leaned back in his chair just in case, the Faerlu leader definitely looked surprised at this response.

“I am more then you will ever know! Just because you’re living on this little fairy tale and it’s lasted this long for your lot, I’ll let you in on something. For one you shit talking little brat, I could leave this Booster at any point. For two, do you think the Dusk Alliance is never prepared for rebellions? Do you think for hundreds of years we have just sat by quietly hoping nobody would do what you are attempting right this moment? That’s why your journey is over before it even ended! We have had precautions in place for moments like this! I was just one of them, there are so many more and I can’t wait to see the look on your stupid little face whenever you realize that!” Portam finally let go of the bars and sat back on to his bed as he laughed.

Leon felt definitely uncomfortable as he had nothing else to say. He wasn’t surprised, those that talked to him the most about the future plans of Faerlu had discussed the possibilities of traps and others infiltrating the Faction they had created to possibly bring about an early downfall.
What stood out the most to Leon was the aura that came off of the apparent blacksmith they had all known before. The strength that appeared out of someone who barely knew how to swing a sword, it seemed as if he had some sort of power that was unknown to Leon at the moment. He disregarded the thought as he returned back up the stairs and through the door to the Boosters deck.
