As Lily headed to the Gryffindor common room, she got lost by all the stairs, as Harry and his friends held back to have a spat with Malfoy. She was glad to know that he was making enemies wherever he went, like herself.
As she turned a corner, she saw herself standing in a dark hallway, alone. She huffed angrily at herself, and turned around, running into someone. She blinked rapidly, getting out of her daze. She saw a green tie, and her brows furrowed. What house color was green? She asked herself. She tilted her head upwards, and groaned. Of course, Draco Malfoy. She glared at him, "What are you doing here?" She asked calmly, not wanting to start a fight. But apparently Draco had other things on his mind.
"And I should ask you the same thing, Potter," He smirked.
She rolled her eyes. "I was looking for the Gryffindor common room,"
Draco, still holding his smirk, shook his head.
"What?!" Lily shot at him.
"Nothing, it's just that, you had wore your robes inside-out." He smirked.
Lily glared.
"Why were you looking at my robes?" She asked Draco, calmly.
Draco's smirk faded, replaced with a glare.
"Listen, just because you're the "Chosen One" 's sister, doesn't mean, you're not still a filthy Mudblood to me."
Lily's glare turned into a amusing smirk. "The Chosen One, you say?"
Draco raised one of his eyebrows, confused. "Yes, haven't you heard what people have been calling your brother?"
She smirked, "Now I have,"
Draco, gave her an annoying smirk. She opened her mouth, about to retort something, before he covered her mouth, and pulled her into a small closet. Lily was about to yell at him, but when they heard footsteps, she stopped, her gaze wavering to the bottom of the door crack, seeing long shadows. The shadow suddenly walked away, it's steps proceeding down the hall.
Lily had realized how close they were, when he breathed on her hair, causing it the become a bit messy. Her face and ears became very hot, and she looked upwards, into his startling grey eyes, which were staring right into her's.
"I-I-" She stuttered.
He pulled away, realizing he had his arms around her. She huffed angrily, and pulled back as well.
"Sh-should we get out?" She asked, her palms sweaty.
Malfoy smirked, "What else would we do then?"
Lily placed a loose strand of hair behind her ear, and gulped. She reached for the doorknob, but Draco held her wrist, and pushed her against the wall, again. She was facing his lips, and he tilted his down, looking into her hazel eyes.
"Wh-what..." She stuttered.
"Come on, Potter. Nearly every girl, wants me."
"And what makes you think I like you too?" She sneered, coming to her senses, putting her hands on his chest, and pushing him away.
She turned the doorknob, and walked out, breathing in the fresh air. Draco on her heels. She turned around, and glared at him.
"Don't talk to me, ever again." She said angrily, enunciating each word.
He kept his annoying smirk, and whispered in her ear.
"I can't keep that promise, Potter."
***
She had finally found the Common room, but she didn't know the password. Typical. She stood there, waiting, until a red-headed girl came. Lily smiled at her.
"Hey. You're Ginny, right?" She asked her.
Ginny nodded.
"Yea. You must be...Liliana?" Ginny said.
Lily was glad that Ginny hadn't said her last name. She didn't want to answer any weird questions. Ginny turned towards the Fat Lady portrait, and said. "Fortuna Major."
The portrait slid open, allowing the to walk into the Common room.
"Ginny! Lily!" Cried out a familiar voice.
The two Gryffindors smiled, as they saw a head full of light curls.
"Hermione!" The two said in unison.
The two got squished by Hermione. She tore away, holding each of their shoulder. Hermione narrowed her eyes at them.
"Where have you two been? I've been tormented by the boys about Crookshanks."
Lily looked down, her cheeks burning up. Hermione and Ginny must've noticed, because they snickered.
"Well, well, well. Seems as if you're fooling around on your first day here!" Ginny teased.
Lily rolled her eyes.
"Well, it's not like that." She said reluctantly.
"Than what was it?" Ginny asked again, more curious.
"Well-" Lily had stopped herself, and shoved Ginny. "Hey! I don't have to tell you!"
Hermione and Ginny were chuckling lightly.
"Well, I think we should go back to our dormitories. It's getting late." Hermione said.
They nodded, and head to the girl's dorms. Lily had a bed next to Hermione. She waited until everyone had been snoring, and put on her cloak. She walked out of the Common Room, and started to aimlessly walk around the castle.
"What are you doing wandering around?" Asked a sharp voice.
Lily turned around, and gulped. There was Professor Mcgonagall, with a disappointed and angry look on her face. Lily's palms started to sweat.
"U-um, I'm sorry. I got lost. I was a bit hungry, and couldn't find the kitchen." She quickly lied.
The Professor studied Lily carefully, then nodded.
"Well, you shouldn't be up after the curfew. Go along now." Professor Mcgonagall shooed Lily.
She nodded quickly, not believing her luck.
She ran back to her dormitory, glad to be safe within its walls.
"Lily?" Said a weary voice.
Lily slowly turned around, seeing Hermione, her eyes barely opened.
"Hey Hermione," She said, trying to sound as casual as she could.
"What are you doing up so late?"
"Well, I was hungry, so I went looking for the kitchens, but then I ran into Professor Mcgonagall. She didn't give me detention, thankfully." Lily said, using the same excuse she had given Professor Mcgonagall.
Hermione stood there for a second, and nodded, walking back to her bed, and going underneath her covers.
Lily let out a breath she hadn't been aware of holding. She quickly took of her cloak, hanging it on her nightstand, and went under the covers, and soon, her world went black.
