Diary Log 1443Please respect copyright.PENANArPgLreXYvj
The captain is a nutter, I wouldn’t be surprised if the only thing he cared about is the state of his fish fingers. How’d I know this? Because that’s the only thing he cared about when this ship was being crippled by explosions last cycle.443Please respect copyright.PENANALiLo3Kptqp
He left me to command an entire ship of incompetent crew and dumb officers. What in the name of the stars was he thinking? This obviously wasn’t a good idea to begin with.443Please respect copyright.PENANA3yhx8ZEots
Going back to the main fact, I am LV. I am a First Officer on board of a large exploration ship known as the Opal Imperium; it’s a lot of work. We’re currently exploring the Andromeda galaxy.443Please respect copyright.PENANAbNwXbR0DFT
My goal with this little diary is for others to find it, in case the Red Star Riders ever invade Canis, a solar system in the Milky Way. I want to deliver one message; all hope is not lost.443Please respect copyright.PENANALvDSnrd0O4
This was just to introduce myself, but I want you to know that it is possible to fight back, and whoever first reads this will prove me right. The first who reads is the one of deeds, and it can only be unlocked and read by fifteen specific people. If you are one or two of them, I thank you for reading.
Until next time,443Please respect copyright.PENANAT0pt5wSnGP

Thunder crashed, lightning crackled on the new colony of Gliese, its residents jolted awake by the insanity that the new day brought. Perilous winds bashed against sturdy homes of residents, a sound like an earthquake rippled through the floors. A bad start to the day, what could possibly go wrong?
Arduous sounds of the wind thrashing against glass woke Josh Alexander. Josh threw himself up instantaneously, and swiped the curtains open with a single withered hand. To his surprise, Gliese was under attack, their intruder being an electric storm. Just as this occurred, the door behind him slammed open, revealing his teenaged son Rook Alexander. Both of them raised their fists in a state of fight, but when seeing each other halted. Rook came over to look out the window.
“It’s just a lightning storm, sonny.” Rook eased up as he heard this, his tense shoulders relaxing and he found himself at peace within a few seconds. It was a lightning storm, nothing new to him, right? But this still didn’t stop Rook from being afraid. Both of them knew, one day soon Gliese will be under attack from the local tribal space faction, but the only thing they could guess was that it would be outside of Rook’s existence, that was for certain. Josh gently pet Rook on the head, ruffling his tuft of beer-coloured strands as he chuckled.
“You got yourself real worked up, didn’t you?” The older man folded his arms, the boy wiping the sweat off his forehead. Another flash of lightning struck down, close enough to be in view but far enough away to look like a golden drop of rain.
“What’d you expect? It’s not every day you get a lightning storm, let alone one of this magnitude.” Rook now pet his fluff, doing so until he was entirely soothed from the sudden fright he had gotten, thinking Gliese was being invaded.
“I can understand why, I mean. I hope that doesn’t happen soon, and it shouldn’t do, but there is still the possibility of it.” Josh had a deep fear of this as well. What if their local faction, the Red Star Riders, invade? What would happen to Rook, his friends, his family? That was something he couldn’t answer, and that made him even more afraid despite the low odds of this even happening. Low odds, but still a chance. Part of his instinct told him to flee Gliese several years ago, but taking a child with autism to a new place would not be easy; Rook would probably go into a full scale panic, and Josh hated it when people would gawk at them both as Rook had a meltdown and they took it as some temper tantrum. Rook was an angel.
That was the only reason he was still here, for Rook. Rook had plenty of friends on Gliese, so many Josh had lost count. He was a bright spirit, guiding others to their destiny.
“Dad, what happens if the Red Star Riders invade?” Rook would pop the question.
“It won’t happen, son.” Josh had to lie. The last thing Rook needed to hear was that Josh didn’t really know the answer, so it was the only thing he could say. The guilt tightened around his chest as he had just lied to his own son. His own son!
But there was nothing else Josh could really do.
