"Annabelle?"
We were having a picnic, on top of the roof, at the dead of night. I couldn't take my eyes off her beautiful, red hair. 307Please respect copyright.PENANA2cl5ipgf78
"Anna," she asked, "Would anyone notice if we escaped together?"
"Sure they would. But I wouldn't mind if we do," I said, holding her hand.
"I wouldn't mind Italy," she said, with a small smile. I thought about us living in Italy, somewhere in the countryside, with a garden and everything.
Suddenly, she kissed me. It was as if she was actually with me. I felt her soft, red hair as I held her tightly against me.
"I know you're a dog person," she said, out of breath, "but can we get a cat?"
"How about both? A cat and a dog."
We laughed and she took my hands and held them tightly. She told me she loved me as the sound of cop sirens blared.

**It has been a year, so far, since I held her hand. She's gone now. I miss her dearly. Sorry if that's sad. I can't tell if that was a dream or a nightmare, to be completely honest.
