They waited day after day. Derk and Kelric kept on training with some branches every now and then and when Jake could walk again he joined them too. They were all fast to learn new things about sword fighting and combat.
Around the fourth day, they were ready to go. After they packed up, they saddled their horses which looked brand new.
“All-night ride, you ready for it?” Asked Kelric.
“I suppose so,” answered Jake.
The three of them climbed onto their horses and rode off onto the main road of Blex Passage. They rode as fast as they could and by night they were a quarter of the way through.
Slowing down to a trot for the upcoming night ride, they start to talk amongst each other.
“It’s so quiet,” said Jake.
“I like it like this,” said Derk.
As they continue, they hear movement from off the path in some bushes.
“Guys, stop for a second,” said Kelric as he climbs off of his horse.
Kelric walks over to the bushes and is suddenly drilled in the stomach by something invisible, making him fly backward and onto his back.
“Kelric what was that?” Asked Jake.
“I have no idea,” said Kelric still sitting on the ground.
As he goes to stand he hears a shrieking noise coming towards him. Kelric tries to push himself back but can’t move quickly enough. He waits for what must be pain until he hears something fly by his ear and into the creature that was right in front of him.
“What did you do?” Asked Derk.
“Nothing, but someone else did something,” answered Kelric astonished at what had just occurred.
“It was me,” said a voice from behind the boys.
“Who are you? And why do you help us?” Asked Jake.
They watch until a hooded man with a bow and quiver on his back walks forwards from the dark.
“My name’s Meckslerick or Mecks for short. I am here to protect you and to provide much information that you have probably been wondering about for a while. I’m here as family,” said Mecks.

The boys gaze at Meckslerick for several moments until Derk speaks up.
“Family?”
“Yes and if you wish to know my story and what I’m talking about then let’s get off the main road and rest,” finished Mecks while leading them to a spot off the road.
As they set up their camp the boys wonder if this Meckslerick is really who he says he is, if he is really family and if he could tell them about their parents and of Tryous.
They all gathered around a small fire and Mecks pulled down his hood, showing his features. He had mainly elvish facial features, pointy ears, and long brown hair.
“So continue and tell us,” said Kelric.
“Kelric, Jake, and Derk, Lyan, and Xelo. These are the sons of my brother, or your father, King Erglon. You are three of the five sons, and I assume you didn’t think you had any brothers or sisters besides who are with you now. We, including you three, are from the Land of the Norael. Tryous is our land's name,” said Mecks as he waits for them to take in everything he just said and for any questions.
“What are you? What’s Norael? How did you find us?” Asked Derk all at once.
“Slow down, I will answer all questions. First off, I am a cousin to the elven race; Uriske is the name of my people. Second, Norael stands for light, or god. We are practically invincible because of how good of fighters we are and because of our magic. Third, I found you because of a simple bloodline word; it can track down any Norael man or woman as long as you know their name.
Before you three ask anything else I would like to tell you a few things. The reason you haven’t heard much about the Land of Tryous is because we all have died out. One of the Kings sent their soldiers to capture all women and newborn children. It made many men kill themselves or go insane. The King responsible for it was King Lance, who took over Tryous during all of the madness.
See the main King of Tryous must have five sons, if he knows he won’t have anymore then say three or four, or if he just chooses to not have any children then he must choose one of his brothers to be crowned as the main King. If he has five sons though, they are split into five different kingdoms to learn the current Kings ways and trade routes, how to do this or that, you know. The five kingdoms will call upon the boys, as you will know which one you will want most in the end.
The Ocean Kingdom, the Dragon Kingdom, the Human Kingdom, the Forrest Kingdom, and the Sky Kingdom. You three and your other two brothers are destined to grow in power and come to help us take our lands back. This is prophesized on the Wall of Destinies,” finished Mecks finally.

“Where’s the rest of our family at?” Asked Jake.
“Your father is in Tryous fighting Lance. Your other two uncles, Herrid and Resk, are with your other two brothers as I am with you,” answered Mecks.
“What about our mother?” Asked Derk.
“She’s a human somewhere in Letslon last time I heard of her. After our women died your father had no sons so he came to this land and ended up with five sons. All five of you were from the same mother but after a discussion with the Lord of Letslon, you were split up. You three sent to Gan to live the farm life and the other two sent to Noke Village to grow up to be soldiers.”
“Well, we thank you for this and everything you’ve told us. I hope you will travel with us longer,” said Kelric.
“Meckslerick, I was wondering if you could tell us who was at each Kingdom before the disaster?” Asked Jake.
“Ah yes. I was King of the Forest Kingdom, your father was King of the Sky Kingdom, Lance of the Dragon Kingdom, Herrid of the Ocean Kingdom, and Resk of the Human Kingdom,” answered Mecks.
“Do you think we could see our real mother?” Asked Kelric.
“Yes, that’s what I was going to do first when we made it to Letslon.”
“Thank you,” said the three of them at the same time.

“No problem, go to sleep and we’ll make it over halfway tomorrow. We’ll be at Letslon in two days’ time,” said Mecks while putting out the fire.
They all fell asleep except for Meckslerick who kept watch just in case. Kelric woke later on in the night and walked over to Mecks.
“So who do you think will be the Sky King?” Asked Kelric.
“The Wall of Destinies says Jake will be the Sky King, he will have more than five children and many more Kingdoms and he will discover many lands on many more journeys. His wife will be a blonde young lady from Stralork. You’ll be Dragon King but something tells me you will not do what Lance has done. The Wall of Destinies says you will take your rightful spot as Dragon King by killing Lance in the Tryous Arena as his punishment. You are supposed to have three children with your wife which I’m sure you have already met as the Wall of Destinies told us nothing about her.
Derk goes to the Forest Kingdom and has a human wife as well with a beautiful servant from Letslon that has brown hair. You should be proud of yourselves and of what you will become,” answered Mecks.
Kelric smiles.
“I hope all of these are true destinies.”
“They are, and you already speak with the woman you love?” Asked Mecks.
“Yes. The most beautiful one too. Do you have a wife and kids?” Asked Kelric.
“That’s another story for another day, go to sleep,” answered Mecks.

The next morning they all packed up and saddled their horses before setting off. Mecks grabbed his own horse which was hidden off of the road overnight. They rode fiercely pushing their horses as fast as they could go. Finally, they started to slow down a little as it started to get dark.
“So what was that monster that attacked Kelric last night?” Asked Jake.
“It’s called Jine. An invisible creature, but when it appears it can choose to morph into an animal or even a human,” answered Mecks.
“Well good thing you were there, otherwise we would’ve been dead,” said Kelric.
“I have one more question,” said Derk.
“Go ahead,” replied Mecks.
“Why do our eyes change different colors in situations like in fights or battles or even when using magic?”

“Well, that’s something totally different from what you may or may not think of it already. It’s called Tanel, or inner power. That’s what makes us practically invincible. Unless you’ve learned how to control it then it will come out every time you’re mad,” answered Mecks.
“Well let’s continue to ride and if we have any more questions for our newly found uncle then we will hold them off until we're at Letslon,” said Kelric.
They all agreed before they continued down the main road. At about midnight they were halfway and Mecks tied the reigns of their horses together so the boys could rest their heads on their horses’ necks while they were moving.
The next morning they were riding pushing the already tired horses to their limits once again. At midday, they could see the giant walls of Letslon at the end of Blex Passage. As they continued through their second night the boys told Mecks about their quests and their Masters. Past midday of their third day with Mecks they came upon the gates of Letslon.
“Who approaches?” Asked one of the many guards around the gates.
“I am Meckslerick, brother of King Erglon, and these are his sons. I need to speak with the Lord of Letslon.”
The guards started laughing.
“Do you really expect us to believe that you’re the brother of the King of Tryous and that these are his sons?” Asked the guard.
“Show them your marks,” said Mecks to the boys while pulling up his shirt where the letter ‘T’ was on his left breast.
“The Lord will be very disappointed that one of his guards told a few of the greatest men alive to leave,” said Kelric.
“Fine. Open the gates!” Yelled the guard while moving out of the way so they could get by.
When they entered the city they were amazed at the structure of its walls and everything else inside of them.
“Come on, you can view the city on the way to the King's castle tomorrow,” said Mecks while riding forward.
“Where are we going?” Asked Derk.
“To the Fox, a tavern somewhere in the center of the city. We’ll stay there for the night and then tomorrow we can see if the Lord can get us a room or two to stay in. None of you must get angry at this but we are to stay here for a week at most,” answered Mecks.
“A week?” Questioned Jake.
“Yes, trust me nephews it will all be for good use.”
Astonished at the city they trotted down a side road and onto the main road. Eventually, they spotted a fox on a wooden sign.
“Here we are, I’ll find some stables if there are any near while you three pay for a room,” said Mecks as he climbs off his horse.
The boys grabbed their belongings from their hoses before handing Mecks the reigns to them. From there the boys pushed open the doors to the Fox. The place was crowded with drunken men and servants all the way through. They maneuvered their way through everyone to the bar where a few women and men were standing.
“What would you three lads like?” Asked a man from behind the bar.
“A room please,” answered Kelric.
“Sorry lad, no more leftover. Come back in a few days and we might have one open.”
“But we don’t have a few days and we only need a room for one night,” said Jake.
“I’m truly sorry,” said the man.
“Wait, I can spare my room for one of you handsome men for a night,” said a woman from the side.
“What about me?” Asked Mecks from behind them.
“You’ll definitely do, follow me,” said the woman.
She led them up some stairs and to a room. After closing the door behind them she took Mecks to a bedroom.
“Why would he do that for us?” Asked Derk.
“I don’t know, he may have his own reasons,” answered Kelric.
Moments later Mecks came back.
“That was awfully quick,” said Derk.
“Go have a look in there,” said Mecks.
The boys walked over and opened the door; the woman was tied to a poll and practically already passed out from drinking. The boys laughed and closed the door before walking away.
“Well, I think we all need our sleep. After all of our riding and such I think it would be best,” said Kelric.
All nodded and the boys went to sleep while Mecks stood looking out a window.
