PREVIOUSLY;
I swore that I saw a shadow, similar in shape to Satan, enter through the doors.
Oh boy...
'You better be coming, boy. I ain't got all day.'
I sighed and without another protest, I grabbed my stuff and made sure to not trip on my way up the stairs as I enter through the door.
I dropped everything on the clean tiled floor.
Hello, new home, and hello Satan.
'Lord Satan'

CHAPTER 8;
TURNS OUT, SATAN HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR
My mother assisted me with the stuff and 'Lord Satan' was watching us with folded arms over his chest- not saying a word. His eyes were piercing through my soul.
As we brought the last of our stuff to the new home, I whispered to my mother; "I feel slightly violated." She laughed.
"It will take some getting used," She said, "But trust me, he means well."
"So... My soul is safe?" I heard a snort from a different location where Satan was previously seen. He was now observing from the darkest corner of the living room, a few steps away from the fireplace.
The shadow that was once barely seen by my eyes now could vividly describe his choice of clothes that weren't much different from the last time I saw him.
'I have no interest in the souls of humans.' Then he proceeded to mumble, 'These churches destroyed our reputation.'
I was so destructed by the supernatural being in front of me that I kept holding the boxes. My mother reminded me that my biceps are not internal by grabbing the boxes from my hold with a silent complaint from her eyes. I thanked her.
"What do you mean 'our'" I said.
I thought that there was one devil?
'First thing first, boy- we are no devils. This is simply a term that the churches made up to gain control over society. We are not evil, far from that actually, we wish no harm upon humans- and by we, I speak for the seven kings of the Underworld, I am one of the seven.'
"Oh- Wait, the Underworld has seven kings?"
"Yes, they are also known as the Seven Deadly Sins." My mother interrupted, "Lord Satan if you'll excuse me, we need to finish organizing at least some of the stuff and I am in need of my son's help."
I saw him nod, 'Go on.'
<------------------- LATER THAT DAY ------------------->
'Are you finished?' That was the first time in a few hours that Satan had spoken.
I was about to answer but my mother responded instead, "Not quite but can take a break. We haven't eaten all day."
My stomach grumbled in time for everyone to laugh. Yes, Satan laughed- snorted actually, I still count it as a laugh since it's the best he'll give.
"Perfect 'cause I am starving!" I set on the new sofa that we have received. It was big enough to fit eight people- this is only half of the sofa. The other half was separated by a small round table and contained just as many empty spots.
A large glass table, sparkly clean, laid at the very center of the living room- in between the two separated sofas. At the brick stone wall at the front, a real fireplace was built and a few inches above it- a large T.V screen.
We haven't set up a comfortable enough dining area so I took the opportunity to observe the living room as my mother prepared food with the ingredients that were available at the moment.
Noticing a dark shadow taking the spot next to me, he said; 'You don't look curious.'
I scoffed as I crossed my arms over my chest, "Trust me, I am but I don't think it's time yet. I don't know... I want to be curious but I... am not?"
I heard an intake of breath, 'What do you think is the issue here?'
"I... don't think that I am ready to understand... I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I have been to the Underworld and now- I have to come to terms that you, Satan, are right here- I am talking to fucking Satan." That pulled a genuine laugh out of the expressionless man.
A gentle voice then replied, 'It seems that I have to be patient.' Such a gentle and fatherly tone. 124Please respect copyright.PENANAt1kGOjYI7S
He kept talking, 'Things are going to be much harder from here. Dale, you have a lot to uncover, your life is not what it seems, and there's only one person that can hand you answers on a silver platter- your father.'
"My father? But I literally don't have parents." I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his funny remark.
'Are you sure about that?'
We were rudely interrupted by the plates clattering loudly on the table. My mother had returned with some decent food in her hands but an obvious glare was aimed at our surprise guest.
He raised his arms, 'As long as I get an offering.' I shall abide by your rules were his unspoken words.
My mother nodded and then disappeared to her new bedroom.
I took this sudden opportunity to ask, "Who is he?" Satan chuckled before ruffling my hair.
'You are cute when flustered. Unfortunately, I cannot answer that. He wants you to figure it out himself.'
I huffed but once more before I could return a smart remark, my mother made an appearance with a marble blue-black candle before setting it on the table on top of a white candle holder then she rushed off with a glare, to most likely, prepare his... offerings.
Knowing that mother could catch us at any moment speaking about the subject of my... alive... father, I dropped it- instead, curiosity got the best of me.
As we sat in half-awkward silence I asked, "So... where was I?" The question seemed to get his attention.
'In what sense? Which Universe? Reality? Planet?- ' I stopped him with a harsh shake of my head. My curiosity is not that deep.
"I meant- Hell. I heard that there are levels?" A distinguished action caught my eye. His jaw dropped a few inches. Was he shocked that I asked this?
He cleared his throat, 'Well, you were in the fifth circle, or level as you call it. I still have trouble understanding how you have appeared in the underworld but in the fifth circle as well? ... I am afraid you have a target on your back boy, and I suggest getting to the root of things before your life cuts itself short.'
Things turned dark very quickly. "That was not where I was going with this question."
'Huh? Then...'
"I just wanted to know what was that I witnessed. People were killing each other over and over."
'Oohh... Oops?' I rolled my eyes. 'Do you still wish to know?'
"Maybe later." He scoffed.
'Coward.'
Turns out Satan has a sense of humor.
