Erebus walked with George back to his house where Freya still was. George was a weird kid who got terrible migraines all the time. Erebus didn't believe him, but Georgie always said the migraines made him do all the bad things he did. George had straight red hair and unsettling pale eyes. They were green of course, but you could barely tell, they were so light.
George was sometimes called king of the skeletons, which was sort of true, in Erebus's opinion, because George was fifteen, stood at six-two, and weighed one thirty. He was skeletal indeed.
Erebus first heard about George when Jonah Hauser called Georgie's little brother a pissing bitch. George went to school the next day and broke Jonah's arm. Jonah didn't cross him ever again. Erebus went up to George a few weeks later and showed him how fun lassos were. At the time, they were both twelve or so, and Erebus was going through an intense cowboy phase.
George, of course, laughed at him and went home. The next day he brought a whip and showed Erebus how to use it.
That was the day Erebus left behind his dumb cowboy thing and started boiling frogs and setting fire to anthills. Looking back on it, he probably would have never done that if he knew he would turn out so bad.
Anyway, they were walking down the street that went past Jack's house. Erebus didn't really like Jack, but he fixed things up pretty nice. Lightning flashed and George looked at the window of the house. Four faces lit up and disappeared. George rolled his eyes and they kept walking straight.
The layout of the town was very simple. It wouldn't take the pair long to get to Erebus's house. Go straight until you get to Garnet Lane, where Beck and Dinah lived. Turn right and walk for about five minutes, then you're there.
There was a house next to Erebus's, just a single mom and her baby. Erebus made a note to make sure the baby was alright later.
They entered the house and Erebus told Georgie to sit tight while he grabbed the girl. Erebus was beginning to regret doing that to her. Even though he had really wanted to hurt her, now he wasn't so sure. He still hated her though, just for being a girl.
Unbeknown to Erebus, was that he had a very severe case of being bi-polar. One moment he wanted to kill every female on the planet, next minute he was doubting his actions. He always thought those mood-swings were from puberty.
Inside the dark pantry, Freya was curled up with tears staining her cheeks. It wasn't a good look for her. Erebus lifted her waist over his shoulder. He wasn't very strong, but thankfully she was light. He carried her to the living-room and set her on the couch across from George.
George stood up and slapped her hard. Her eyes grew wide and dark blood tickled down from the corner of her mouth. George looked at Erebus and smirked, as if to say, I'm just getting started.
