Co Workers or Con Artists?
A man approaches a landing pad via helicopter in the Greyman District. The man is dressed in a formal suit and tie; he takes a moment to casually look around as he lands. He sees holographic commercial signs and shopping districts that are well kept and pristine. He notices many women advertising their stores on the street. At least, he hopes they are advertising only their stores. He can't help but wonder why the Capital would choose this location to develop something so important to their cause. The man grins and mumbles "Doesn't get anymore low profile than this..." Another man greets him as Mr. Burns at the landing pad when the helicopter finally comes to a complete stop. He is dressed with a riot helmet and a padded uniform for protection. Mr. Burns gets out of the helicopter. Although he answers to that persona, it is not his name.
Nevertheless, he greets the other man with a grin. "Why the formalities Joe?" Joe then replied that one can never be to cautious. The man Joe thought he was talking to was Tyler Burns. The man who is pretending to be Tyler gets out of the helicopter's passenger section and taps reassuringly on his fellow officer's shoulder. He then pulls from his inside jacket pocket a device with a screen projector. Numbers flash indicating Tyler's allocated credits. With one tap of a finger, he selects an amount of one hundred credits. A small window pops up and asks if he is sure whether he wishes to give Joe Hoshkin one hundred credits; to wish he replies yes by tapping on the hologram. Joe is surprised when his credit collector notifies him of his gift of currency. Joe asked why Tyler would do such a thing with hint of question upon his face. To which Tyler says "We need to keep a low profile on this mission Joe. I want no one to be the wiser of our presence. I know you're used to desk work but try to relax... We are in the district of Vice. Live a little."
Joe then expresses his gratitude and goes on his way. Tyler takes no time and pulls out a small oval shaped device which is small enough to fit in his ear. The device then shimmers as it camouflages itself and appears to disappear altogether once placed. As the man called to be Tyler walks toward the train station a woman on the other side of the communicator then scoff laughs. "Really Phil, spending that kind of credit on one officer just to get him drunk? Want to buy a friend?". The one masquerading as Tyler Burns is really known as Phillip Harper, an Anarchist double agent. Phil responds "Deb, Joe is a recovering alcoholic... he isn't going to want to drink alone. The only ones he knows in this district's sub section are what few officers the Capital brought along as a skeleton crew for this operation. What do you think he's going to do?".
Debbie puts the pieces together "Nice, get the crew drunk off their asses so we can slip in and out. Clever". Phil pauses from speaking as he raises his badge at the drawbridge entrance to the train station. After he does so, he retorts "Honestly, there's a reason they brought me along for this". Debbie is quick to keep prospective "I said it was clever, don't get cocky. We've still got to avoid attention from the passengers and whatever officers who are sober enough to want to keep their jobs." Phil doesn't bother responding to that, he knows there is no point in doing so with Debbie Jenkins; she'll argue forever. Debbie then says through the communicator "So how long are you going to be? Getting antsy on this train all by myself." "You're already boarded?" Phil states before continuing "we can't get careless". Debbie casually responds "Relax, they were none the wiser."
Phil stops talking for a moment and walks over to his fellow officers at the train tracks. "Where is the case?" To which a couple of officers mention that they already loaded it up on the train. Another mentions they all are going to go get hammered with Joe, who said he's buying rounds for everyone. Phil smirks and says "I see, well you all don't have too much fun, you hear? We've still got a job to do". The officers disregard Phil's fake concerns and tell him it'll all be fine. Phil was secretly hoping they'd respond that way. It's always easier to perform a heist if your victims believe they are untouchable. "All right then. Don't keep me and my superior waiting too long. Remember, one hour". The men walk off casually reassuring Phil that they are well aware.
Phil approaches the train; it is relatively nothing special. Phil reports in to Debbie "I'm thinking of assuming control of the train, do you think you can get to the case yourself?" "Leaving all the real work to the girl? Typical." Debbie retorts. Phil's sighs can be heard over the communicator "Don't start... I am getting rid off all security for you and taking the train off to an early departure." There is a moment of silence before Debbie responds "What do you want me to do then, hot shot?". Phil is relieved to see that for once Debbie is on board with his plan "I need you to hack into the train station's departure logs and change the departure time of the Arlstone for fifteen minutes 'til now. Once you do..." Debbie interrupts Phil "And~ done." "You already hacked into it ahead of time didn't you?" Phil accused. "What can I say, I was bored". Phil then asks Debbie to wait for future instruction.
Phil pulls something out of his suit pocket to reveal a syringe filled with a tranquilizing agent called M-99. He then boards the train and greets the chief officer with insincere warmth. When the officer turns his back Phil jams the syringe in the man's neck, pushes the plunger, and throws the officer off the train. With that done, Phil then picks the lock to the train's conductor room. He is relieved to find there is no conductor. "Gotta love union representatives and allowing thirty minute smoke breaks huh?" He then assumes control of the train and speaks over the intercom "Hello valued passengers and welcome to the Arlstone. We will be heading out of the station in ten minutes." Debbie speaks over the communicator "Very official like... Is that my cue to get things underway?". "Yes, work your way back to the cargo carts and find a large metallic suitcase with the number 159-001 written on the lower left corner of it. After you locate it you will need to bypass the electronic lock that is on it." "Yeah yeah I got it."
