I felt my stomach turn when I saw the little shopping center, everything was the same, except now there was a little restaurant called ‘The Little Blue Bird’. Ryan felt my discomfort and held my hand. He raised it to his lips and kissed it. Looking back I saw that they all had fallen asleep.
“They fallen asleep…” I said, they made me feel better and worse. Knowing that they were close to my side, safe and protected. Good. Knowing that I’m taking them to where they were conceived. Bad.
Ryan looked at the little mirror, smiling too. “A little nap never hurts anyone.”
“Nope.” I said, Nick took a right down a dirt pathway, then pressed two buttons on a security gate. Two guards came out. One waved its hands up sling to open the gate. When the gate opened they moved and let us drive in. we parked at the closest we could get to the pack house. Ryan and I parked under a huge oak tree which gave the right amount of shade.
We got out, I opened the door and shook them up, “Hey guys, Were finally at the right pack.” I whispered. Damon rubbed his eyes at me. “Could you guys pick up all of your toys up for me? In your guys bag? If you do we’ll all go out for ice cream.” I told them, singing out ice cream.
“Ok. But I want sprinkles, brownies and hot fudge on mine.” Damon said.
“Of course.” I told them. They unbuckled their seat belts and got to work.
“I’ll stay with them,” Ryan said, taking out the suit cases. I kissed him on the lips, “Thanks.”
I saw Jamie, Kara ad Nicky come out, “Hey how are you?” Jamie asked.
“It’s been…alright.” I told her.
“Well at least we only have to be here for a month…” Kara said.
I shrugged my shoulders, “At least you get to kick their asses in work out.” Jamie told me.
“Oh don’ worry, they’ll be burning alright.” I smiled evil-y.
Nick was giving me those pity eyes.
“Nicky don’t give me that look. You’re doing what’s best as and Alpha.” I told him. “You know you’re the best alpha I’ve had.”
Nick rolled his eyes, “Duh.” He said just as my old pack came out of the pack house.
“Alpha Nick.” Alec said, “I’m so glad you’re here, thank you for taking your time out and coming here…” shaking Nick’s hand.
Nick shook his hand too, “Glad to. This is my mate Kara. My sister Jamie, my beta Johnny, Shane and Zack are my Third-in-Command. Oh and my best fighter, Ellis.” He said point at me. I gave a short wave.
“Like that slave girl?” said one girl applying on what looked like her 23 lair of makeup.
Nick looked like he was about to pop off her head, “She was from you pack before she moved to mine.”
“Ellis? Ellis Wood?” Alec asked.
“Wow. You remembered my name.” I said.
“Mommy! We’re all done!” Aries yelled running in to my arms. I picked her up and sat her on my hip.
“Mommy?” Alec asked, looking horrified.
“You did?” I asked her. Ignoring him.
“Yep. And now you need to take us to get some ice cream. Also could we go to the tutu store? And gymnastics?” she asked me.
Ryan raced with the boys to me, “After we get out bags and Riddle in, princess. Then well do something fun.” Ryan wrapped his arm around my waist.
“Alpha Ryan?” Alec asked him, “What are you doing here?”
“You’re Alpha Alec right?” Ryan asked him, I watched as something dark pass by his face.
“Yea.” But before Alec got to finish his sentence, Ryan punched him in the face. Alec feel to the ground holding his jaw. I knew Ryan wanted to bet him in till he was dead.
I put my arm around Ryan, I rubbed his back until he calmed down, “Not in front…” I told him using my body language to mean the kids, “You can give him more…practice during training.” Ryan’s eyes turned back to normal. He lightly kissed my forehead.
“Mommy? Could I get Riddle out of his cage?” Aries asked me. I swear since birth those two were inseparable.
“You know, that’s is a fantastic idea.” I said, putting her down. I watched her run to the car opening the door, and climbing in for Riddle.
“Mommy? What the hell is going on?” Alec asked, still on the ground.
“What’s going on? Is that I have a new life. A mate, three kids, the best fighter in the best pack. That is what’s going on.” I told Alec.
“Mate?” he asked, his eyes turning dark black, he looked at Ryan. Before I knew it Alec toke all of his body weight and flung himself to Ryan, I punched him in the throat. He slammed in the dirt hard, leaving him gagging and trying to get air. I looked and smelled the fear coming off of him.
“Ha! Look at the pathetic Alpha! The pathetic pack…I’m glad I left…” I said, I turned to Alec, “Don’t look, speak, or touch my kids or my mate. Or I will challenge you.” I told him making him look into my eyes, “and that isn’t a threat it’s a promise.”
“Mommy! I got Riddle!” Aries yelled, coming along with half of Riddle around her waist and the rest of him around her neck and arms.
“Good job!” I told her, most people…parents would think not to let you daughter have a snake. She saw Alec on the ground.
“Why is he on the ground?” she asked me.
“Because…he was testing my skills. He didn’t believe that I could take him down.” I told her.
“Oh…” she said, “Is he stupid?” she asked me quietly.
Our pack must have heard…meaning they did too, and laughed, “A little.”
“They let stupid people be alphas?” she asked me.
“Well sometimes.” I told her.
“That explains Nick.” She told me. I laughed.
“Yep, it sure does.” I told her.
“I HEARD THAT!” Nick said.
“You were supposed to.” She yelled back to him. Nick ran up and picked her up on to his shoulders. Then hung her upside down, “Say sorry.” He said.
“No.” She said.
“Fine…I warned you…” he said, blow on her belly.
“Stop! That tickles!” she squealed.
“Say sorry!” he said.
“No.” she said.
“Fine.” He did it again.
“I’M SORRY!” she screamed.
He put her down, “It’s not my fault you were born stupid.” She said, walking away from him.
“So are you going to show us where we are sleeping?” Jamie asked.
“Uh, yeah.” Alec said, brushing off dust. He walked with us into the pack house.
