Your kisses

"Oh my god," I almost yelled and involuntarily closed the book shut.
My face heats up. I wasn't expecting her to write about this. Why did she draw a lip next to it? It just made it… even weirder, and not comfortable.
But I also can't wait to see how good I did. Oh god, what am I thinking? I shouldn't be thinking like this. I exhaled softly and slowly opened the book again. I felt warm around my face again as I looked down at the design. I shook it off and continued reading.
Well hello, lovely lips. Those lips look delicious.
I--
For days, I had waited. Waited for when you were going to lean in and meet my eager lips. I kept longing for that day. Why did you wait for so long?
You had a lot of chances to lean in and ease everyone's pain. On our first date, during the trip. When we were alone at the library, at the ice cream parlor. Like c'mon big man, what took you so long?
In all our time together, I thought maybe she wasn't ready for it yet, I didn't want to make the first move and ruin everything.
I know I looked like I didn't want to. But will a girl just close her eyes and push her lips forward? We'll act like we don't want it, but trust me, we are dying for it.
Ever since we made it official, Susan kept pestering me a lot about it. She kept asking if we had already. I quickly change the topic because I don't wanna talk about it.
So many times, I have been drawn down to gaze at your lips. This may sound weird, but I've watched them move as you talk, I have seen you bless them with your tongue. But why waste time wetting them with your tongue when you could, you know, just kiss me?
I started losing hope until… Blake's party. That guy is such a genius. He invited people to his birthday party, and Susan, You, and I got an exclusive invitation. I love that guy, well sometimes.
You came over to my place and told my mom about the party, and fortunately, she let me go with you, with these same words.
"Make sure you bring my daughter back by 10 if you want to remain on my good side." With a smile.
You smiled back and replied. "let's make it 9."
The party was cool and all, but forgettable. Well except for one moment, when we snuck up to the rooftop of the house, just the two of us.
We sat down on a chair, shoulders only inches apart, watching the stars, and talking about things we'd do after school. Until I decided to switch it up. Let's rewind the clock and relive that moment, shall we?
"Quick question," I started. "Have you ever… kissed anyone before?" I questioned.
I had no idea what came over me. I didn't realize what I was doing until the question was out of my mouth.
After realizing what I said, I covered my mouth and looked away from you. "You don't have to answer that."
You laughed. Saw through the corner of my eyes that you glanced at me, then turned back to the sky.
"I have," you mumbled.
The words were like a bullet shot to my chest. I turned to face you and crooked my brows. "You have?" I snarled.
"Mmm," you mumbled back.
I looked away again, trying to hide my anger. I thought maybe I was going to be your first. I was disappointed.
"I thought you never had a girlfriend before?" I asked.
"Mmm," you mumbled again.
"Where?" I queried.
You sighed before speaking. "At a party. With Agathe." The words rolled down your lips with ease, but they were like rocks thrown at me.
I remembered the party and the rooftop. I felt another wave of anger and mashed my lips together. I had tried my best to forget that day, and I did, but you reminded me of it. I was about to leave, but you spoke again.
"But I wouldn't call that a kiss, it was stolen from me," you stated. "I'd like you to be my first."
I felt a flush in my stomach as I listen to you speak.
My eyes flickered down to your lips, then back up to your eyes. I found myself getting drawn toward you. You didn't stop me, you leaned in too, your eyes fixed on my lips.
I closed my eyes and let myself sink into your touch. The feel of your lips on mine was like nothing I expected. It was electric. It sent shivers through my veins. You pulled back, staring into my eyes.
"I want to do that again," you muttered, and then leaned in again to meet my lips.
I loved it. I had hope that will never end. Best first kiss. That was the best moment I had with you. Sadly, the last.
End of chapter.
