The bar that we went to was nice and swank. Everything was mahogany and bright. A long bar was the first thing I saw when we walked in, and matching chairs lined up with it too. I thought we were going to sit at the bar, but everyone was upstairs instead.
Andreas tugged on my hand, leading me up the stairs to a deck with two large tables and chairs. Tons of huge, attractive men were drinking and eating and laughing at whatever. Their girlfriends were also in attendance, sitting on their laps or making out with them.
"I didn't know other people's girlfriends would be here." They were all dressed up in nice, tight dresses with high heels. Long hair and near-perfect makeup. While I had on jeans and a plain t-shirt.
Andreas smirks, "Those aren't their girlfriends."
"Oh!"
"Come on, baby." He said, leading us to an empty chair that is near the terrace. I let go of Andreas' hand, leaning over the rail. It's so beautiful, the lights are brightening up the city, and the sight of moving cars racing up and down the street.
I feel an arm wrap around my waist, and lips kiss my collarbone, "What are you thinking about?"
I turn and look at him, watching the shadows cast shapes across his beautiful features, "It reminds me of Boston."
"You miss home?"
"A little. But you know what?"
"What?" He asked quietly.
"I think you're my home now." I plant a lingering kiss on his hand, leaning my head against his chest. "It might seem cliché and so basic, but it's the truth. When I'm with you, I don't long for anything, I don't crave anything. You are all I need, I think, to be truly happy."
"Damn, Elizabeth you're going to make me cry in front of my teammates."
I laugh, "We wouldn't want that, now do we. Got to keep that jock mentality." He takes my hand and leads us to the table that sits everyone.
We find a seat towards the end of the table, I notice there aren't any more chairs left, just one.
I tap his shoulder, "Andreas?"
"Yes." He said, sitting down.
"There's only one chair left, where am I supposed to sit?" He pats his lap. "No, that's inappropriate!" I whisper- yell under my breath. My eyes search around, hoping no one heard that, they didn't. The only thing their eyes are focusing on is the array of breast in front of them. For a minute, even I was distracted. Andreas brings me back to reality.
He rolls his eyes, "Are you serious? Elizabeth, you sucked my dick in the library and let me fuck you in my car, are you seriously worried about sitting on my lap in front of my team?"
I smack his arm, "Don't say it like that like I'm some cheap slut that would spread it for anyone."
He tries to keep a serious face, "Well, it isn't a lie though, now, is it? You could be my slut." He suggests.
My eyes widen, "Andreas- whatever your middle name is- Chen, I need to find somewhere to sit and I'm not going to be your-"
I let out a yelp when he grabs me up, without my permission, and sits me on his lap. I wrap an arm around his neck so I don't lose my balance and fall. "See, everything is solved. Just don't move around much, you'll give me a boner." I stay perfectly still. He laughs, "I said stay still, not to stop breathing."
A waiter comes by and takes our order. Andreas just takes a beer while I ask for some sprite and nachos. He gets on me for not getting alcohol.
"I'm underage, Andreas. They would have carded me." I explain to him.
"I could have ordered two beers and given you one. They don't give a crap about an 18-year-old drinking beer. Wait, isn't your birthday tomorrow?"
"It- it is, yes. How did you know? I don't remember telling you, hell, I didn't even remember myself."
"Before your sister went bat shit crazy on me, I asked her. We have to do something for your birthday." He said, nudging my leg.
I purse my lips, "This will be the first time I'm celebrating my birthday away from my parents, I don't know what to do. Do you want to go out, maybe?"
"Are you asking me out?" He quips a brow.
I roll my eyes, "You wish." He pinches my side; I laugh in his arms.
"I can buy us some Chinese food and we can watch a movie, how about that? Then, maybe, if you're a good girl I'll get you some cake."
I think on it, "That doesn't sound too bad, actually. We'll have to go home straight after, I know Bridget's throwing me a surprise party, and if we don't show up, she may kill me and will definingly kill you."
"Sounds about right."
"Here you are." We look up to see the waiter setting our food and drinks on the table. The smell of the jalapeños stings my nose. "Will you both be needing anything else?" He asked.
"No, that's all. Thank you." Andreas said. He grabs his beer and starts chugging it. His teammates start cheering him on, I just roll my eyes and clap along.
"Go, baby, go!" I scream.
He finishes the beer, slamming it on the table. His teammates scream and cheer.
"How long was that?" He asked, burping profusely. I waft the foul smell out of my way.
Parker checked his phone, "45 seconds."
"There's no way you chugged that beer in 45 seconds. I bet I can do 30 seconds." says a tall black guy with a hot black girl in his lap. She has to be a model.
"Oh really, John? If you can chug a beer faster than me, I'll pay you 50 bucks." Andreas challenges.
I see the John guy thinks about Andreas's offer. Around the table, I see the other guys invested in the whole thing, wondering what he's going to choose.
"How about we shake things up. If I win, you let me kiss that sexy thing on your lap." He points to me. Everyone's eyes fall on me, my mouth hangs open and I glance down at Andreas. His eyes have a fire in them, and I feel his arm tighten around me, pulling me flush against him.
"This "sexy thing" on my lap is my girl, and no man will be coming near her in that way except me. So, you'll need to choose the money or nothing as your winning prize." The words come out calming and rational, but I could feel the heat behind them.
John sits back, "Wait, this is your girl?" He looks at me, I nod my head. "You never told anyone you had a girlfriend, I just thought she was the entertainment for tonight." He gets up from his seat and holds his hand out for me. "Hey, my name is John, nice to meet you."
I smile, taking his hand in mine, "It's nice to meet you, I'm Elizabeth."
His eyes widen, "So, you're THE Elizabeth."
"Yeah, was there another one?"
He laughs, "No, your boyfriend over here was distracted during practice one time, and the name Elizabeth was mentioned."
"Really now." I look down at Andreas whose face is now red and flustered. "What is your teammate John talking about?"
"Nothing." He mumbles.
"Don't you dare fucking lie, Andreas Chen?" I hear Teddy's voice come around the corner, behind him is Jace. Monica and Bridget aren't with them.
"TEDDY, JACE!" The entire team screams. They take their attention away from Andreas and turn it to them. Teddy and Jace walk over, getting hugged and kissed on the cheek by the team. Once they're done with that, they come over and say hey to us. They dab up Andreas and kiss me on the head.
"When did you two get here? I don't see my sister with you." I look around.
Teddy says, "She had to do some tests so she stayed behind. I wanted to hang with the team on this special night."
"Same." That was all Jace said. He's never been that much of a talker. Or he could just be shy.
"Parker, I heard you're paying for the beers," said Jace.
"You bet I am. Don't be shy to get more than one." Parker said, kissing some chick's neck that's sitting on his lap. Tana would not be happy if she was here right now, I won't ever tell her what I saw.
I spent most of the evening just listening to Andreas's chat with Teddy and Jace. Them talking about the game and then it started to get all technical so I checked out. I looked out at the city, observed his team, and ate my nachos. God, they were so good. I need more.
I whispered in Andreas's ear, "Hey, I'm going to get more nachos, you want something?"
"I'm good, baby. You need money." He starts taking his wallet out of his back pocket.
"No, It's alright, but thanks though." As I get up from his lap, Teddy and Jace get onto him about being an Alpha Male.
I laugh as the conversation fades behind me. I pass up a few people and walk down the stairs to the bar. A short woman with pink hair come over to me, "Hi, can I have a plate of nachos with extra jalapeños, please?"
"Sure, it will be out in a minute." I sit at one of the bar stools they have available and wait for my food. I start eating the bowls of peanuts they have out on the counter. The shells littered the floor around me.
A guy comes over next to me, seeing me looking at all the shells on the ground. "They let them do that here, some barbaric trade."
"I would hate to be the person who has to clean that up."
"Well, that's me."
I gasp, "Oh, wow, sorry about that! I didn't know-"
He chuckles, "I'm joking with you. I'm just here with my friends, over there." He points to a booth that sits three other guys.
"Ah, they look like they're having fun." I point out. I can hear them howling in laughter as one of the guys starts shooting beer out his nose.
He shakes his head, "They can be children, you know. I'm the babysitter."
I take this time to laugh.
We spend the next 20 minutes just sitting at the bar and talking. I tell him who I'm here with and a little bit about myself. He doesn't tell me much, but he tells me enough about where I'm interested and drawn in. We end up talking about childhood memories.
"Your sister pushed you off your bike!" He asked, shocked.
"Yes! She swore I stole her doll, which I did, but I couldn't tell her the truth so she pushed me off the bike."
"Sounds like an ass."
"She's my ass, and I love her to death." I see the women coming out the back with my nachos. "Thank you," I tell her. "Well, I should be leaving now, it was nice talking to you."
"You too." He smiles. "I never caught your name."
"It's Elizabeth. Elizabeth Pratt."
His eyes fill with familiarity when he hears my name, "Nice to meet you, Elizabeth Pratt. My name is-"
"James." I hear a familiar voice say behind me. Turning around I see Andreas staring at the guy with a heated look. No humor on his face and his jaw is clenched. His arm loops around my waist, yanking me away from the guy. I sit the nachos on the bar so they don't fall.
"James, as in your ex-best friend, James?" I asked.
"That's correct." The words come out tight. From the way they look at each other, something was about to go down and I don't know if I want to be here for this.45Please respect copyright.PENANAJr9d6ELBos
