BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Went the small clock right beside my nightstand. It was time already? I looked at the glowing red numbers, 4:45. My head was laying right on Ryan’s chest, I smiled. Sadly I had to wake him up. I got up and picked out a pair of light turquoise shorts with dark green lines and a red tank top. I quickly changed in the bathroom. I shook Ryan’s shoulder, “Ryan, it’s time to wake up.” I told him. Nothing. “Ryan!” I said a little louder, some stir. A smile came over my face as an idea hatched in to my mind, I lend down and kissed him. Just then two big bear arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me down. Making the kiss more intense. “You did that on purpose.” I smiled looking in his eyes. He wiggled his shoulder, “Maybe…” he said, smirking to himself.
“We’ve got to go wake up the kids…” I said, trying to get out of the lock, squirming around.
“Don’t…” he said closing his eyes. I blushed not realizing.
“Sorry…” I told him, he kissed me again making it more intense. I unlocked my arms, I put my thumb between our lips making him stop.
“The kids…” I told him.
“Jamie. Wake her up, she might be by now, but we could ask her to come down and watch them for us during training…” he told me. He got up and went to the dresser he pulled out his black shorts and a red shirt. I nodded my head. I walked out, I was glad that Alec. I ran quietly down the hall, toke the corner, that’s where her room was. I knocked on the door until she came out. “What do you want? I’m trying to sleep.”
“I know. I need you to watch the kids…would you do it?” I asked her.
“Sure. But you got to carry me.” She told me.
“Fine.” I told her, I picked her up in my arms and carried her to our room. I opened the door and threw her on the bed. She curled herself in the covers.
“Good night.” She grumbled at me, falling back to sleep. Ryan and I walked out.
“So where are we going to go?” I asked Ryan.
“Just behind the pack house.” Ryan said. I grabbed an apple. We sat on a bench waiting for them. I continued to munch on my apple. Nick, Kara, Johnny, Zack, and Shane were already here. Our guards were posting were their guards were, so they could learn the basics. I went inside to throw it away. The familiar green numbers read ‘5:30’. I done tired of waiting. Above my head was a water sprinkler, like the ones just in case there were a fire. I grabbed a chair and placed under it. I found a lighter in the kitchen, I flicked the switch turning on the flames. I placed just below the sprinkler. 3…2…1 BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Went the fire alarms and then the water sprinklers. I ran outside and waited for them.
“What did you do?” Nick asked me.
“They were late. It’s five thirty they were supposed to be down here by five. So I gave them a little wake up calm.” I told him. Five minutes later, a crew of wet people came out.
“What the hell was that?” A girl screeched, she had fake blonde hair and thick eyelashes.
“Your thirty-five minutes late. When I say five in the morning I don’t mean you be over thirty minutes late. That means you get your ass down here.” I told her, “But it’s not your fault it’s also your alpha, clearly you guys haven’t gotten the right training. To start off our bright sunshine morning you’re going to go run around the pack borders twenty five times without using your wolf!”
“Oh this is a joke right? Slave girl comes back and now we’ve got to listen to her?” said a girl in a back, “You probably couldn’t find your ass if you had two hands and a map.” Some laughed.
“Ha. Funny, I’ll tell you what I’ll fight anyone…your pick.” I told her.
She looked smug, “Fine. Alec, I bet you he can bet you.”
“You haven’t seen what happened yesterday did you?” I asked her, she shook her head.
“Fine. Come one Alec.” I told him, “I promise I won’t brake anything.”
He ran up there like a big shot, the cocky guy, the bull he’s always been. He tried to get in a stance, which was mostly him holding up his fist. “Pause.” You don’t even have the right stance…” I told him, fixing it. I got back in to stance. Then he threw the first punch, which I knew that was going to happen. I moved out the way, he tried to punch me again, but missed. He growled in frustration. He punched for his third time. I toke his body weight and countered him, I threw him on his back and started punching the crap on him till he yelled, “UNCLE! UNCLE!” I got up, his face was bloody and forming a range of colors “Pathetic! And you call yourself an Alpha.” I growled. Everyone had shocked faces, “Now who’s ready to run.” With a question or a hoopla, they started running.
Alec just laid on the ground. “Come on you pathetic piece of shit! Get off your fucking ass and run!” I yelled at him. I kicked him in the ribs, he slowly got back up and started running towards his pack.
“You don’t have to be so harsh.” Nicky told me.
“It’s the only way he listens.” I told Nick.
“Ok, the rest of our pack, go run with them and make sure none of them fall behind or us their wolf if they do, report back to me after their run.” I told them. It toke them about an hour to get back from their run. When they did, they were sweating buckets and breathing very hard.
“Alright, it seems you’ve all listen. You can all take a ten minute break.” I told all of them. I groaned at me. “That, was on the beginning, after that warm ups and fighting.” They groaned louder.
“Why don’t you want us to use are wolfs when we run?” asked one of the guards on their side.
“Well…For your wolf to be strong so does your human, you have to have balance of the two. If your human is weak, so is your wolf, no matter who you are. You can’t have any other way, if your human is strong than your wolf will be stronger.” I explained.
“So. How long have you trained?” A girl asked, she was actually pretty and not…well slutty.
“Um…about five years. I trained after I had the twins.” I told them.
“So who all have you fought?” The snotty girl earlier asked me.
“She’s kicked mostly alpha asses, mostly the ones who are cocky and assholes…OH tell them the time who had with that Jarlin guy!” Johnny answered.
I laughed, “Holy shit yes. Ok, so about a month after I gave birth to the triplets. We had to go to this pack to help them out with rouges. And so we get there, and they just had a party a night before and the place is a wreck. There are teenagers all over the place still a little drunk. And the Alpha comes out and you can just smell the alcohol on him, probably a mile away. Nick starts introducing everyone. So this guy gets all full of himself he’s going about how I’m a woos puss, and I couldn’t hit him. So he takes one step, he takes the leaps trying to punch me, but I twisted his arm and throw him on the ground. He gets back up and tries to punch me again, but this time I punched him in the mouth, next thing I know he passes out cold. So we flip him over and his two front teeth went through his lip. It was disgusting.”
“So what did you do?” She asked me.
“Do what?” I asked her.
“You know. Did you help him?” she asked me.
“Oh, no we all got back in the car and drove off back to our pack.” I told her. I looked at the time. “Story time over, warm up time!” They all groaned at me. After about two hours of training, I cut them short. They all looked relived and tired.
“OK. Here’s a hint! If you don’t want your body to hurt and not be stiff in the morning…” Some of them snickered. “…drink lots of water.” We all started walking back to the pack house. I headed to our room, I needed to take a shower. Badly. When I walked in, they were still in their PJs and were watching SpongeBob Squarepants.
“You guys still in your PJs?” I asked them.
“Yea. We didn’t fell like training today.” Michael said.
“Alright. Well why don’t you guys go get dressed and I’ll go take a quick shower. We’ve got some errands to run…Where’s Jamie?” I asked them.
“Um…” They started to say.
“Forget it. I’ll burn her later.” I told them. I quickly grabbed a towel and went into the bathroom to take a shower. Fifteen minutes later I was out and dressed. I had on a black tank top with a Hogwarts T-shirt over it, to tell you the truth, you could see the black tank top underneath, then a pain of white ‘booty’ shorts, that’s what Jamie calls them, with a light blue belt. I put on some mascara and light pink lipstick and I was done.
