The night before joining the survey corp's
Evelyn stirs in her sleep in her queen sized as the moonlight beams through her curtains, she groans and moans in her sleep as if she's having a nightmare. Within a few more moments Evelyn shoots upwards in terror breathing heavily. Evelyn rubs her face with her hand in annoyance at herself "Stupid brain, won't let me sleep" she mumbles to herself quietly. She turns her head to the side to see the clock reflecting the moonlight. The clock reads 2am, Evelyn debates on getting up or going back to bed for a moment before rolling out of bed. She's wearing a short red laced night dress, that she had made herself as she hated the oversized woman pyjamas.
She clumsily walked around her gaint room looking for an oil lamp. She eventually finds one, lighting it up before exiting the room and walking down the dark hallway heading towards the stairs. When she reaches the stairs she sits on the sturdy wooden railing and slids down gracefully mentally shouting (Woo!) In her head.
She walks aross the empty entrance area of her home to get to the front door. She quietly unlocks it and slips outside. She sits on the wooden porch taking in the refreshing breeze and looking at the wide open landscape. In the past few months Evelyn had moved from her big house in the city to live just outside of Trost within wall Rose. Conveniently only an hour away from the Survey corp's HQ, Evelyn could even see it in the distance. Evelyn's long black hair swayed in the gentle breeze. Her mind began to wonder about all her life choices she had ever made, considering the tough past few months she's had. She let out a heavy sigh in frustration "I can't believe the mess I've gotten myself into..." she quietly speaks with sadness in her voice.
After all the hardships she's faced in her life from getting permanent amnesia at the age of 9 to getting forced to join the military at the age of 16, she never cried no matter how much sadness she had felt. She didn't cry from her parents sudden disappearance nor from what Marshall had done to her, she refused to break.
Suddenly she can hear her front door creek open from behind her, she glances behind her to see Trisha in her long night gown, holding a candle. Trisha looks down at the young girl curiously "Hmm what are you doing out here my miss" she asks. Evelyn shrugs "Nothing just wanted some fresh air...sorry if I woke you up Trisha" Evelyn spoke softly. Trisha offered a small smile at Evelyn "No it's quite alright, I was awake reading in the library miss..." she spoke to Evelyn softly.
Evelyn patted the spot next to her signaling to come sit next to her. Trisha sat down next to her happily, Evelyn looked at Trisha with weak smile "Hey I just...wanted to apologise for...well being a complete jerk recently about everything. I know you try your best to keep me out of these crap situations" Evelyn says sadly with a bit of sigh.
Trisha deeply sighs and pulls Evelyn into a small hug "Well I've had my angry rage to you about you getting into all the trouble. Just please try and stay out of any more trouble, if you do that then maybe you'll get out of this military arrangement sooner...also please be safe out there" she sad sadly holding back some sad tears at the thought of Evelyn getting killed by the titans outside the walls.
Evelyn let out a small chuckle then looked into the distant darkness "Yeah okay...I'll promise I will do better from now on. At least when I'm out there killing titans I won't be alone...so there's that at least" Evelyn says with a smile (Yeah, I won't be alone) Evelyn thinks to herself thinking about her friends, Carmen, Farlan and Levi.
(Even if my future is un-clear and there will be a high chance of becoming titan chow...at least I won't be alone)
