Evelyn is walking home from school with Marshall, a friend from school, tall, slim and blonde basically the poster boy for pretty boys. The winter air is making Evelyn's face cold, she pulls her red scarf up closer to her face. Marshall walks closely beside her "So you busy later?...I was thinking we could do something later" Marshall asks with a smile. Evelyn turns her head to look up to him as they continue to walk "I have piano lessons" she sighs in disappoint before looking down to the ground. Marshall face drops to sadness "That's too bad" he says. Evelyn purses up her lips "Yeah...these days I don't have a lot of spare time on my hands" she explains sadly. The rest of the walk home was silent.
Evelyn thanked Marshall for walking her home before entering her home. The house was nice and warm, Evelyn took off her scarf and gloves, then her boots. She walked through the house into the study. The study was pretty big with book selves covering most of the walls and in the corner by the window was a grand piano. Evelyn huffed walking over to the piano, she sat down at the piano and turned the page she needed to practice for today. She started to play. She played the tune 3 times over before getting completely fed up (Ugh forget this, think I rather run laps around the wall...) she stops playing. Sbe leaves the room and enters the kitchen making a quick sandwich to eat. She eats it quickly then heads for the fron door putting on her boots. Her mother walks out from the living room and notices her getting ready to leave "Where do you think you're going young lady!?" She says angrily. Evelyn bows her head "Umm out...to think about playing piano better?..." Evelyn says. Marry gives a disapproving look to her daughter folding her arm up "Get back to your piano practice" she orders. Evelyn groans and storms off back to the study slamming the doors behind her. She realizes she still had her boots and coat on, she walks over to the piano and silently opens the window, she quietly climbs out. She quickly makes a break for town. She walks around the city for a bit thinking about things to do (Hmm...what to do? Maybe I should go see what Marshall's up to...but I have no idea where he would be. I could go see Levi, he's probably doing something interesting) Evelyn continues to think for a few more moments. She eventually decided to go find Levi in the underground.
Meanwhile in the underground
Levi is in a bar sat alone drinking tea waiting for a contact to arrive with job offer. Levi silently sits drinking his tea watching a bar fight happen about a dispute of a game of poker. A tall man dressed in a dirty old suite slumps next to Levi "Hey you Levi?" The man asks. Levi finishes the last of his tea "Yeah that's me...so what's this job" Levi says. The man reaches into his suit jacket and pulls out a piece of paper and places it on the table and slids it over to Levi. Levi raises an eyebrow and then picks up the bit of paper, he opens it up to reveal a sketch of a man and underneath it reads "Cole Reeds, escaped convict. Wanted for murder, kidnapping and rape" Levi glances over to the man "Well first off the sketch looks like it was drawn buy some dosed up addict...what do I get out of this deal?" Levi says glaring at the man. The man reaches into his jacket pocket once again and pulls out an envelope and hands it to Levi. Levi accepts the envelope and opens it, inside is some money and a small black key. Levi examines the key "Wow if I would have know I'd get a rusty old key, I would have canceled all my todays plans" he says plainly. The guy next to him shakes his head "Its not the key, it's what the key opens...it's the key to the undergrounds military supply base" he whispers. Levi smirks a little "Military supply base hmm...okay I accept" Levi says (If I have access to military supply base...I could snag some of ODM gears)
Evelyn walks into the bar and looks around for Levi, she spots him sat next to a suited man. She walks over to them giving them both a wave "Heya what's going on Levi, thought I come see how my favourite person is doing today" she happily says. Levi groans in annoyance, Evelyn sits next Levi "Hey that's not how you greet your best friend...you grump" she mumbles. The guy in the suit makes a swift exit, Evelyn looks at the man confused "Ah sorry if I made your friend leave" she says. Levi shakes his head "No he was just offering me a job" he explains. Evelyn tilts her head to the side "Oh...need some help with that?" She asks. Levi scuffs up Evelyns hair "Nah...anyway I should get to it, I'll see you later" he explains, he gets up "Oh I see its one of those jobs...can I still come along anyway, I can't go home yet and well there's nothing else to do" Evelyn says in a disappointed tone. Levi sighs "Well if I say no you'll come anyway...just stay behind me alright" Levi explains, Evelyn nods happily. Evelyn follows Levi out of the bar.
Evelyn continues to follow Levi around the underground, he has beaten up at least eight thuggish looking guys and asking for information on Cole Reeds. Levi managed to get some information about his target but nothing as to indicate his whereabouts. They eventually stop to sit down for a bit and Levi to clean off the blood on his hands. Evelyn leans against a wall watching Levi clean off his hands in disgust "Hey maybe we should try a different approach to finding this guy" Evelyn says. Levi finishes cleaning the blood of his hand "Perhaps you're right...what you have in mind?" Levi says the leans against the wall close to Evelyn. Evelyn turns her head to Levi "Well we know some key facts abouts about this guy. Firstly he seems to like kidnapping young women, second he seems to strike at night and lastly all the women who have disappeared recently have all last been spotted in the same area" Evelyn explains. Levi raises an eyebrow "But however, seems no ones seen the guy around...so that points to him having possible help from others. So I think I should use myself as bait let the suspected guys side help lead us to him" Evelyn continues. Levi glares at Evelyn "Do you have a death wish...or are you just stupid?" Levi says angrily and annoyed. Evelyn huffs and lightly prods him in the side "No...and I know what I'm doing, I'm not some delicate flower you need to protect Levi" Evelyn mumbles angrily. Levi sighs in frustration "If I say no you'll just do it anyway to prove a point...fine we'll do this" Levi says sadly.
A bit later on Evelyn and Levi are standing in the spot where they plan to catch the target. Levi is going over the plan Evelyn "Okay ready?...Its not too late to change your mind" Levi says concerned. Evelyn nods giving a small smile "I'll be fine...you worry too much" she explains. Levi places his hands gently on Evelyn shoulders and looks into her eyes "Just remember if anything goes wrong I'll be close by" he says with concern in his voice. Evelyn looks up slightly to Levi and smiles, they suddenly hear footsteps heading towards them. Levi gives Evelyn a concerned look before running towards a small blackened ally way fading into the shadows. Evelyn is left alone in a quite open space. She breaths deeply before starting to walk down the path slowly waiting to see if she would be attacked or not. He heart was beating faster as normal as she continues to slowly walk down the path. She hears the footsteps from a moment ago again getting closer to her. The footsteps continues to get closer to her "Hey lady are ya lost its not safe walking these paths alone at this time" a male voice calls out to Evelyn. Evelyn suddenly stops and turns around slightly to see a middle aged man wearing a dirted old brown suit but without a tie. Evelyn smiles slightly and waves "Who me? I'm quite alright sir. Thank you for your concern but I'm just out for a walk" Evelyn quietly explains to man. The man walks up to her "How about I walk with you to ward off the creeps around here?" The man smiles creepily before offering his arm to Evelyn to take (Could he work for Cole?...or is he just a creep...I need to be sure) Evelyn pauses for a moment "Hey actually I'm here looking for my cousin...Gabi she went missing around here about a week ago...I thought I come here in hope on maybe finding her" Evelyn explains with a deep sadness in her face, a single tear runs down her face. The man smiles "Oh Gabi? I know her, she's fine she's actually perfectly safe with my friend who just lives around the corner from here" he explains with a smile. Evelyn smiles at him (Gotcha) she takes the mans arm gently "Well I'd very much like to see her, if you don't mind I've been awfully worried for her" she says.
The man leads Evelyn down a few paths not far from where they were. The man eventually leads Evelyn to wants seems to be a boarded up house "This is the place, would you like to come inside miss?" He says, before Evelyn can even react the man puts a rag dossed in chloroform over her mouth. Evelyn passes out quietly.
