Khun Diaw an Kuea started smoking together when they were in high school. The difference is Khun Diaw quit when he came back to Thailand , while Kuea smokes occasionally
"Are you okay , Diaw?"
"No , but i don't know what to do."
HIa Yi amnesia confuses him so much that his thoughts are in disorder. It would have been better if he had forgotten everything , but Hia Yi remembers him when he was seven...
On the other hand , Khun Diaw barely remembers anything when he was seven. It feels like their worlds are switched. Furthermore , Hia Yi with memory loss is the Hia Yi he's always wished for Hia Yi with heart
"What are you going to do with your Switzerland plan?"
"I have to post pone the plan , but i won't cancel it.... I'll leave no matter what. Even though Hia Yi has become this way.... You know that Hia Yi might forget the past seven years , but i don't."
"I don't understand why Hia Yi thought he would marry you but then didn't. If he had planned to do it all along , he would've done something."
"I don't know. It's funny that i'm a little happy.... I kind of wonder if Hia Yi might've actually loved me and wanted to be with me. What happened during that time , then? How come... it all came to this?"
Khun Diaw scoffs , trying to hold back his tears. His big , round eyes gaze at the far side of the hospital garden. There are lots of questions , but... Khun Diaw is too scared to find the truth
"Aren't you curious?"
"I'm scarred , Kuea. I'm scared to find out why Hia Yi doesn't love me. It sucks. I've gotten over not being loved by him. If i go back to that point and get my hopes up one more time , i'll be hurt again."
"But Hia Yi tried to get you back."
"Maybe he didn't want to be humiliated if the others found out the future son in law of the Chens ran away."
"Why don't you give him a chance first? Your situation might be similar to that of Hia Lian and me. It could be misunderstanding."
"Not everyone is lucky like you , Kuea. If ... he had ever loved me at all , he would've treated me better long ago."
"Why don't you give it a try now that HIa Yi doesn't remember you...? I don't want to see you sad. If the second attempt makes things work , it'll be great. Plus , Hia Yi loves you right now."
"I don't want to grab this chance to deceive him. No. If i do that , it means i'll deceive myself as well. And the new Hia Yi is very mouthy. I can't keep up with him. I need to come up with a plan. I think i'll fight back. If Hia Yi remembers me as seven , then he's fourteen. The twenty five year old me will beat him!"
"Ugh , im stressed out for you. Hia Yi at fourteen must be wicked... Are you sure your heart won't flutter because of Hia Yi in this version?"
"I don't know... but i'll try to think he's not HIa Yi but a kid in my class that needs a scold. It should work if i think this way. Kids are obedient after getting scolded . He's just bigger than other kids."
"You're too cute , Diaw. Always kind. Hia Yi is lucky to have you , seriously Hia Yi is an idiot."
Khun Diaw puts the burn out cigarette into a cup water. The heat in his chest relieves the suffocating feeling a little then , he decides to reveal what he has hidden for years
"Kuea.... i once tried to get it on with him."
"Huh?!"
Kuea Keerati's eyes widen at his little friend from head to toe. This small guy tried to get in on with Hia Yi?!!
Khun Diaw is both amused and shy when his best friend's eyes go wide like goose eggs. He's kept this secret for years. It's too embarrassing to tell anyone. Who said he simply waited for Hia Yi for seven years without doing anything? He had already attempted it. But.... he failed
"How?"
"Hia Yi was drunk that day... He went to party with Pa. I guess he couldn't flee because Pa dropped him off at the showroom. Pa also chatted with me for a bit , so Hia Yi waited in the bedroom. Well im a man. I think about things like this too."
He mumbles through his small lips , his face reddening. He cups his own cheeks , so does Kuea Keerati. Their two heads tip towards each other when the story gets more exciting
"W....Welll. I took care of him. He was really drunk , so i freshened him up with a wash cloth. Yeah... hmmmm"
"Im blushing , Diaw... Was he sexy?"
"Verrryyyy."
Kuea cups his little friend's cheeks and rocks his head
"Daaaamn. This little guy is wild. You tiny bean!"
"Ugh , don't tease meee."
"And then what? Spill it."
"Well... i tried to get it on with him. I felt him up and pinned him down. I got on top of him. He was drunk , so i climbed up on his body."
Khun Diaw was on top? Kuea Keerati's ears , face and neck feel hot. It requires some boldness to get on top?!
"Did he let you...?"
"he looked annoyed after a while.... We switched our positions , and Hia Yi halted. Kuea , the thing is... Hia Yi had never done anything to me. Never. He never touched me or anything at all. He neither abused nor treated me romantically. I wrapped my arms around his neck , thinking , yeah this is the day. I tried my best... as best as i could."
"Y....You're wicked. I dont even dare to initiate it."
"I wanted him to look at me. I'd prepared everything , even condoms...and well... hmmm."
"D...did it work?"
Khun Diaw nods and buries his face in his best friend's shoulder. Had Hia Yi not drunk the chinese liquor of his Pa's friend , Khun Diaw wouldn't have had the chance. He had never seen Hia Yi drunk before. Hia Yi was wasted.... Besides , Kuean and Hia Lian relationship back then made him want to succeed in love as well. Thus , he got bold enough to get it on with Hia Yi
"But it wasnt a happy moment as you had with Hia LIan... it didnt go smoothly. I was awkward and Hia Yi was drunk... We helped each other out until it was over... Hia Yi woke up , puked and was knocked out beside the toilet. I ahd to drag him out."
Ugghhh , why did his super cute best friend have to experience that situation?! Its understandable , though. Whenever Hia Lian got home after drinking that Chinese liquor with Hia Yi , he was always knocked out. Hia Lian once complained that ht elders loved trying to get them drunk , and he couldn't reject thme. Both Hia lian Pa and Hia Yi Pa took pleasure in it. Khun Diaw choose to do it on that day of all days...
"Hia Yi didnt remember anything , right...? Hia Lian was the same."
"No... he didnt even remember how he got home. What he did...with me was probably flushed down the toilet with the puke."
"Did it hurt your feelings? LEt me tell you that Chinese liquor is something else. Hia Lian was no different. Dont lose your confidence."
"Well..... I was hurt. Still , Hia Yi was so drunk , yet i tried to get it on with him. I felt guilty. Kuea... i took advantage of him."
