Shin Do-Sik burst into the room with fury of a tropical cyclone.
A petrified Sang-Jin wanted to just disappear from sight.
"Did you do this?"
Do-Sik held up the broken trophy.
"Well....I..... didn't do it," Sang-Jin stammered as he avoided Do-Sik's burning glare.
"You are lying," Do-Sik yelled.
"Well.....I didn't mean to. It was an accident," Sang-Jin murmured apologetically.
"I will teach you a lesson. So that you do not enter my room again!"
Do-Sik thundered before he violently struck Sang-Jin across the face with the trophy......
A sleeping Sang-Jin woke up screaming.
Then he stopped as he ran his fingers all over his face before looking around and realizing he was in his room.
He must be dreaming, Sang-Jin concluded. Yes, it was only a dream.
He signed with relief.
Looking at the windows he smiled at the sun rays as they beamed in to the room. Sang-Jin decided to make himself a nice breakfast.
Sang-Jin made an omelette before fixing a plate with sliced watermelon, blueberries and grapes. He made the same for Do-Sik.
Im Sang-Jin was pouring tea from a large silver teapot when Shin Do-Sik joined him. He was dressed in gym clothes while Sang-Jin was still in his silk pajamas.
Do-Sik sat down and looked at the breakfast before him like it was gravel on a plate. He got up and went into the Kitchen.
Sang-Jin could hear the fridge doors opening and closing before hearing the juicer machine.
Do-Sik returned with a healthy green smoothie and pushed the breakfast that Sang-Jin had made aside.
"I think we need to establish some ground rules as we are now living together."
"Ground rules?"
Sang-Jin stirred at the green smoothie that Do-Sik was drinking and presumed it must taste horrible.
"Yes, so as not to disturb each other's routine."
"That seems fair."
"Good. Here are my terms and conditions," Do-Sik said as took out his phone and emailed a digital copy Sang-Jin.
Sang-Jin set down his fork and knife and looked through the document on his phone.
"Are all these your terms and conditions?"
"Yes," Do-Sik replied.
"These are the most important points. One we do not enter each other's rooms. And two you must do all the housekeeping."
Sang-Jin looked at Do-Sik with a horrified expression.
"I thought you had a housekeeper who comes to do the cooking and cleaning?"
"I do but since you are living here rent free while pretending we are a couple, I must benefit from this arrangement. So she will no longer come until our agreement is done."
"But..... Sang-Jin protested.
Do-Sik quickly carried on.
"I expect you to make me dinner in the evenings if I require it. And follow any other rules I might have. One more thing no pets allowed in the penthouse."
It was a lot for Sang-Jin to swallow.
"Did you plan this in advance or you came up with them overnight?"
"Do you have a problem with my rules?"
Sang-Jin smiled while shaking his head. "No problem at all."
"Are we good?"
Do-Sik asked.
"Yes," Sang-Jin replied.
Do-Sik got up.
"One more thing, can I watch my dramas on your flat screen?"
"So you watch those trashy TV dramas? I wonder why that even surprises me."
"So can I watch them or not?"
"When I feel like it you can."
Do-Sik finished his green smoothie and placed the empty glass in front of Sang-Jin.
"Clean this when you are done."
Then he was gone.
