As with every group, there are smaller groups inside. In Scentral, there are different factions, same with the West, North, Southeast, and Mrvde. Here's a few.

Courier Knights342Please respect copyright.PENANAcZo3knAzqt
The Courier Knights were led by Deorhelm II of Merrio Weall and, after him, his son, Deorhelm III of Merrio Weall, a bastard prince of the Freir bloodline, a product of an affair between Doerhelm II and Aelfdaflind II. Deorhelm III kept secret of his Freir blood, and thus he pledged not to use thaumaturgy unless if in the most dire of situations. Still, he was a capable leader of the knights when his father fell in battle.342Please respect copyright.PENANAcL0aWPo8AH
The Couriers were originally messengers, but because the road can be dangerous, instead of hiring mercenaries, they created a mercenary group of their own. Mayor Hearfod of Merrio Weall started the group in his manor, going so far as to rename his hamlet to the Courier Hamlet. Protected by the beautiful and strong walls of Merriodha County, the knights flourished.342Please respect copyright.PENANAjQlAfenWex
The Couriers made it rather standard for leaders of knighthoods to be called "Runner", "Carrier", "Envoy", "Courier", "Herald", or "Legate". This is because those are the ranks in the Courier Knights, all in order of importance, and the Couriers were based not only in Merrio Weall but throughout the West.342Please respect copyright.PENANAouCjeCqDFB
Runner was right above Squire, and the rank of a first official member of the Couriers, trained to use estocs, rapiers, or other one-handed stabbing swords, and carried minimal armor. Carriers were horsemen and they were trained in spearmanship. Envoys were vanguard spearmen, without shields but heavy armor, usually able to obtain the Herald rank through further training. Couriers make up the bulk of the Knighthood, being efficient in both archery and swordsmanship. Heralds were spearmen with shields, sometimes atop horses. Legates were officers, mastered in swords- and spearmanship, sometimes also carrying small banners or colored plumes attached to their helms.342Please respect copyright.PENANAu6foyqJL1r
Sadly, during Darien II's leadership, the Scentral army reached the Freir capital of Merrio Weall and breached the walls with the help of Outnorth slave-soldiers. All of the Couriers, gathered from throughout the West to defend their capital, effectively forced the Outnorth warriors to withdraw, killing over half of the Outnorth warriors in the process, yet the knights fell, too. Most knights that survived either went mad through the gore of war, or they sustained too great of wounds to continue fighting. Coupled with Darien II's fleeing, the Courier Knights ceased to exist.

Aelveil Knights342Please respect copyright.PENANA46IKXhSaxh
The Aelveil Knights are of the Aelveil County, with the subdivisions of the Signen Knights (who then have their own subdivision of the Barking Knights in Eslientia County) and the Scaelf Knights (which was created during the war against Scentral that takes place during The Thaumaturgists of Wicthwine). The Aelveil Knights are the most renowned knights in Scentral. Although the majority are kinfolk, they are still able to destroy even the most elite of thaumaturgists, as shown when they stormed Count Eslient's palace and killed his guards in Chapter Six Part Two: Storm Battle (though they did have meager help from peasants and bandits, as well as common foot men-at-arms).342Please respect copyright.PENANAeInJd3gp6W
Aelveil is a county that has long favored kinfolk warriors, due to kinfolk's more natural and easy-to-obtain physical strength. The knights are trained in Scentral and West tactics. Later on in the short Freir rule, their knights were taught in specific Courier Knight arts, and their Sergeants were changed to Heralds, but besides that their knights still stayed as Novice Knight, Adept Knight, and Sir Knight.342Please respect copyright.PENANA20lrlvqf0J
Before the Invasion of Eslientia by Aelveil, the Signen Knights numbered 143 troops in total, with 97 Senior Knights (Adept, Sir, Herald) and 46 Juniors (Novice and Squire), but after the battle, they had 29 wounded and 57 dead, missing, or critically wounded (meaning a severed or broken limb). This cut down their numbers extremely, and even the reinforcements from the rest of the Aelveil Knights didn't make up for their casualties, and so the Scaelf Knights were established. This took normal soldiers and converted them into temporary "knights" to act as a police force while the bulk of Aelveil's soldiers were out fighting against Scentral. The knighthood was named after the goddess Scaelf, known for her irrationality and strict personality; she is one of the three deity monarchs.

Rats of Peterstown342Please respect copyright.PENANAJxqZchwp7q
The Rats of Peterstown are a black market organization loosely tied together that smuggle imports from Mrvde and the East into the People's Democracy.

Chosokabe Bow Goddesses342Please respect copyright.PENANAoyD9sE6gdX
The Chosokabe of Dongguo are a tribal, female-exclusive group. They are shrine maidens, still worshiping the old gods of Dongguo, and they train themselves in advanced archery. Dubbed the "Bow Goddesses" by the Dongguo populace, they are admirable archers, but require assistance in melee combat. In fact, their melee skills are quite shoddy, as they can't even wield a spear well. Often they pair up with Dongguo soldiers in combat roles, one of the ways for them to achieve income to keep their small tribe alive. Other ways they survive are providing farmhands, cleaning holy grounds of the old gods, and other menial tasks that bring in meager amounts of supplies. There has only been one instance where they were in an extremely dire situation, and so several girls were sold into servitude for a great sum of supplies, including valuable medicine and food. However, that was long ago, and the tribe now has farms and gardens they own for keeping a steady amount of food supplies. Yet, even with food, they still need income and resoucres to build, clothe, and heal, keeping them fighting Dongguo's wars.

Cwithenlic Myrten Geaethele (Cwithmyrg)342Please respect copyright.PENANApQLmFDbunj
The Cwithmyrg of the Mrvde deserts are a mercenary group that terrorizes any non-Mrvde nomads, especially Scentral-speaking ones. However, under some special circumstances, they have also served as mercenaries to protect Mrvde from invading Far-North Industrialist Invaders (from another region on the planet, on the other side of the vast Mrvde Desert). The Cwithmyrg are nomads as the Mrvde are, but they primarily make their profit from slave trains, smuggling, theft, and blood-money work. They are extremely influential in Mrvde, and even a few lers Ryri are connected to them.
