Context: My sibling and I are watching the anime Love is war and there is an episode where a dude asks about hand-holding.
Me "If this guy wants to hold her hand he should just take her to a horror house or scary movie. They will be screaming and she will grab his hand and run. He doesn't even need to try."
Mother " So when you bring a girl or boy home I should be worried if they want to watch a scary movie with you?"
Me "If my date wants to watch a horror movie it's just a no."
Mother "I am disappointed you wouldn't want to watch a horror movie."
