A light begins to shine with a spark just as you would see in a fireplace that is being lit. The spark gets brighter with every second filling you with joy, wonder, pride and most importantlyLove. At least that is what most
people feel upon looking at this growing light. Unfortunately, there are people with sadness, or darkness in their hearts that keep them from feeling this wonder and have no care for the light at all. The light orb, now the size and shape of a softball, hovers over a one legged pedestal wide at the floor base, thins out to the middle, and widens again at the top where the orb sits, just wide enough to fit the orb. This room is a 10 x 10 room, all walls, ceiling and floor pure white. No specs of black, gray or any other color exists. No door is visible in any wall. No light exists in the room, though the room is as bright as daylight from the light coming from the orb.

"Blaine, Guardian Angel Class 2, please report to the room of the new. A new charge awaits." A voice in a merry gentle tone came through in Blaine's head as he entered the portal from Earth into Heaven. His last job was a success helping one of his charges to have the confidence to make a presentation for a much awaited opportunity as a Project Manager. Jonathan, the charge, had prepared for weeks for this day, but at the time of his presentation he froze and couldn't get words out confidently. The more he tried, the more nervous and embarrassed he got. Then a light shone behind him as Blaine appeared unknown to Jonathan and the other people in the room. Blaine placed his hand on Jonathan's shoulder and, with his energy flowing from his body out his hand into Jonathan, filled him with warmth, love, family. With that newfound energy, Jonathan was able to finally start his presentation and impress the managers in the room with his idea for the project. Upon the presentation finishing and Jonathan sitting down at the conference table, Blaine disappeared with a bright light and head back to Heaven.

The room of the new? Blaine thought as the he heard the message. A charge from the room of the new will be unlike any other charge he has ever had.
Ten thousand years he has been a Guardian Angel, and not once has he ever had a charge from the room of the new. The room where new souls are made from the joining of humans whose love is true and strong. Not every human that makes a child gets a brand new soul in their child. Children being born can either be new souls, or reincarnated souls from those souls who have earned their chance to start a new life. But when the joining of two humans is pure and full of love, it creates a new soul with that love making or giving the family a special connection with each other.

Blaine is excited for this opportunity, grateful for the chance to finally care for something... no someone so special for the rest of its life from birth to death. I am this soul's guardian angel and I must make it to the room of the new to collect it before its too late. Before it becomes a lost soul and has to live its life without a protector, a guide. Lost souls can never have a guardian angel besides them, if the angel assigned to them fails to make it to the room on time they lose that chance and leave the soul alone. It will still be born with the family that created it, but it will be on his/her own. Souls that are reborn are not assigned a guardian angel, but still get the guidance and protection from them. This are assigned on a needed basis. Guardian Angels collect jobs on a job board in headquarters. This jobs show the charge that needs help, what they need, and where they are. Higher angels get the jobs to the same angels as much as possible so that the angel already has a connection to the charge and has a better understanding of what the charge needs. But sometimes, the angel can be busy and another angel needs to care for the charge. New souls unfortunately are not charges that are provided through the job board. When a new soul is in distress or just needs some sort of guidance, the Guardian Angel is immediately alerted directly and priority falls on that charge. Even if the angel is in the middle of a job. In that case, another angel immediately arrives to the location to relieve him/her so that they can make it to their charge. Blaine will be this new soul's Guardian, and will be on his/her life as it is born, grows, and finally dies. His connection to it and it's family will grow as time passes being part of their lives.

Blaine arrived at the room of the new, one small building, no other building near for a few miles. No darkness anywhere around the building for miles. Only one angel is here, Jariya, the angel of the new, the soul keeper, the only angel besides the assigned guardian angel allowed in the room of the new.
She keeps the room, the building, and the area around the building pure, keeping the darkness, impurities, or evil from reaching the new soul in the room.

"Go ahead inside, your new charge is ready for you." She points towards the entrance urging him to go inside. A light starts shining on the wall to the building forming the frame of a door then the door merges with the lining and shines with it completely disappearing and opening up a path into the room.

Blaine slowly walks through the new doorway into the room wondering what to expect. What will he see once he is in there? What does a new soul look like? A soul is just pure celestial energy, but will it have a form, a human shape? As he entered the room, the door seals behind him, and he now finds himself in this white room, with the only light coming from the center of the room on a pedestal. As he looks back at the door now sealed, he sees there is no trace of there ever being a door, and... What the... he thinks as he notices there are no shadows formed behind him or anywhere. This seems impossible, but yet, it makes sense. No impurites, no darkness to taint the purity of the soul. This is incredible!

His mind gets cleared of all thoughts, and all he can think off is the new soul and his responsibility to it. The wonder of how this little guy will grow, what experiences with it have, what accomplishments it will make. Will it make a difference in the world? Or will it just be another soul living his/her life until the end. Will it be a human male or female? All thoughts in Blaine's head are just about the soul. He reaches out to grab the soul,

Then suddenly the orb gets brighter making it hard to see anything but white. He can't even see himself. When the light dies down, the orb is no longer in his hands and now he wears a silver chain with a marble size orb encased in a silver holder. The holder is similar to the holder in the movie Men In Black that holds the galaxy the bad aliens are after. Oh cool, this makes sense, much easier to carry and keep close, but how come I have never seen an angel wearing a necklace like this with a new soul? Though he knows other angels have become the guardians of new souls, in ten thousand years, he has never seen anyone wearing one like this or ever seen one.

He now understands how new souls have been kept hidden and why some angels would be wearing their coats closed like this, as uncomfortable as it is. He had tried wearing the coat like this, but he never liked it. Though this time, it doesn't even bother him, it feels natural, like it is meant to be. Now the soul is safe and protected from any evils lurking around wanting to steal it.

I would like to see anyone try to steal this little guy from me, bad idea. Immediately that thought gets wiped from his head and he goes back to feeling love for the soul and its family.
There are twelve hours from the time of conception to the time the heart begins to beat. That is when the soul must be joined with the body otherwise dies and the soul ceases to exists. Though it is rare for that to happen with a new soul, if it happens, it fills the angel with a dread that can be nearly impossible to get rid off and the angel is removed from being a guardian to ensure it does not affect any other charge or angel. Blaine reaches into his left coat pocket and pulls out his time piece, a gold pocket watch with the chain attached to the coat to prevent it from falling out and losing it. He looks at the watch, Okay so I have eight more hours before joining it with its vessel.
Blaine does not yet know where the vessel is, or who the parents are yet but he has faith that he will know where to go when the time comes. The doorway to the room opens once again with a bright light and he steps out.
