Feng Jiu soaked in her bath and is contemplating in this afternoon's events. Never, even in her wildest imagination that Dijun could do and say such things towards her. It is late when Dijun emerged from his room. He realized that the Bai's fox den is like a maze. Big and you can easily be lost if you don't have a sense of direction. Dijun remembered the crowned prince Ye Hua and Lian Song's conversation before, that the former queen of Qingqiu has no sense of direction thus, getting lost so easily. Now he wondered if Xiaobai also has that funny attitude like her aunt. Dijun smiled and he reached the receiving area of the fox den. There he saw Migu who abruptly saw him and bowed. Dijun nodded back at the Qingqiu steward and he heard him say,
"Dijun, her highness already prepared for your dinner. Do you want to eat it now? "
Dijun is surprised hearing that the queen already prepared a dinner for him but he didn't let the surprise be seen on his stoic face.
"Will I be eating alone? " he asked.
"Yes Dijun. Her highness is out at the moment. " Migu replied. Then Migu saw the disappointment flashed in Dijun's face but it disappeared after he nodded back at him.
"I'll lead you to the dining area Dijun."
Migu said.
Dijun on the other hand doesn't like eating alone. He wondered where the young queen is and what important matter is it that she needs to leave him and eat alone. He also wondered why she's skittish around him. He wondered if someone had hurt her that she's very wary of what he say or do towards her. But then, Ye Qingti is an exception. Dijun doesn't like the thought. Dijun realized that they're on the dining area and Migu lead him on the table. There he saw the food the queen prepared for him and it looks delicious. He sat down and took his spoon. He tasted it and realized, it taste good as it looks. He continued eating until he is finished and then Migu served him his tea.
"If there's nothing more, I'll go ahead Dijun. " Migu said
"Will the queen take long? "
Migu looked at his majesty. He's surprised at his majesty's enthusiasm towards her highness Feng Jiu. Migu smiled at his majesty and said,
"You can actually follow a foot path ahead of the den Dijun. There is a 10 minute walk and you'll see a bamboo forest and the middle of it is the bamboo house her highness had built."
Migu saw the look of surprise in Dijun's face.

Dijun nodded in return. He decided to look for the queen since she left him alone in her den. He smirked. Dijun is thinking as why she had built a bamboo house when there is a den for her? Dijun followed the foot path and indeed there is a bamboo forest ahead.
While entering the bamboo forest, he realized that it's as if he stepped into an another world. He looked up and saw the bright stars twinkling in the Qingqiu sky. He saw firesflies illuminating and like guiding him to wherever the footpath goes. He thinks it's ethereal. At the end, there he saw a small bamboo house and a little light being lit. He smiled. So the queen is indeed in this house. He thought.
Feng Jiu is sitting near on the window and she rested her hands on the ledge and her cheeks cushioned with her hands and she gazed up at Qingqiu's scenic night sky. She closed her eyes as she listened on the sound around her. The swaying of the bamboo leaves on the night breeze, the chirping of crickets and the flow of the water in the river nearby. She inhaled the night air then released a sigh of contentment. She missed feeling at peace and her small bamboo house could only provide that.
"A capable cook, a queen and a peculiar woman. You're so full of surprises Xiaobai."
Feng Jiu opened her eyes and infront of her is the unreadable face of Dijun eyeing her. Her eyes widened in surprise.
"What are you doing here?" she asked. Good thing she didn't stammered.
"As a host, you left me alone. Isn't that impolite of you?" Dijun replied seriously. Feng Jiu closed her eyes and inhaled a lungful of air. Then she opened them and saw Dijun still standing outside and waiting for her to say something. She decided to stand and join him outside. Then she stood infront of him with a safe distance. Feng Jiu doesn't trust herself or him when they're together.

She asked while looking at Dijun's face.
"I do like it but I was expecting that you and I dine together." Dijun replied quietly then Feng Jiu just stared back at him looking for signs that he's being sarcastic or he's teasing but there's none.
"Why are you expecting us to dine together?" Feng Jiu asked. Not getting why Dijun is so persistent. Can't he just leave me alone? She thought to herself. Then to her surprise Dijun closed the gap between them when he stepped towards her. Feng Jiu stood her ground and just stared at Dijun who looks very serious.
"Hmmm... So if you have an important guests, do you tend to leave them alone? " Dijun answered her with a question and she frowned. She sighed. She know that if Dijun will tell her father and grandfather that she left him to dine alone, she'll got another bout of earful from them. Dijun has a point. It's not nice that she left him to dine alone. She sighed again and bowed down then said,
"I apologize again for being an impolite host Dijun. "
Feng Jiu still bowed and waited for Dijun to acknowledge her apology then to her surprise Dijun held her right hand and she raised her head only to see him smile down at her. The smile thant could make you stare and lose your mind.
"Are you really apologetic?" Dijun asked her in a whisper and she nodded.
"How about make it up to me? How will you make it up to me Xiaobai? " Dijun said. She gasped again.
"How about I'll take you to a place where not even my family knows and has been to? Will that be okay? " she replied in a whisper and Dijun enthusiastically nodded his head.
"You need to close your eyes. "
Dijun looked at her and nodded. Feng Jiu closed her eyes and she let her nine tails out. She concentrated drawing her energy and think of that place, then she felt Dijun softly squeezing her right hand and she squeezed it back.
"I know you can feel my energy but don't open your eyes until I say so. "
Then Feng Jiu heard Dijun said yes.
She inhaled a lungful of air and in a flash transported them to her hidden place. Then she slowly opened her eyes and in a soft voice she told Dijun,
"You can open your eyes now Dijun. "
Dijun slowly opened his eyes and he looked at the big tree infront of him. Everything around him is glowing. He didn't see Xiaobai but he can feel her.
"Where are we? " he asked.
"Don't worry Dijun, we're still in Qingqiu but on the very edge part of the Qingqiu land. "she replied and giggled.
Dijun heard her at his back and when he turned he caught his breath on his throat when he saw her. The Queen of Qingqiu has her nine tails all out in their full glory and he's at awe and to add, she's glowing like everything else around them.

Dijun said breathlessly which made Feng Jiu blush and she didn't realized that she's glowing more.
"Did I make it up to you? " she shly asked him.
Dijun didn't know but he can only nod. It's as if he's under a spell or in a dream. He heard that ninetailed foxes can charm anyone using an enchantment spell so to prove she's not using a spell at him right now, Dijun secretly throw an immobilization spell at the young queen.
Feng Jiu can't move. Her eyes widened when she understood what's happening. She is pissed. What's wrong with him?! She angrily thought.
"What did you do? " she asked.
"What did you do? " he counter asked.
"What? " she asked not understanding what's happening.
"I heard ninetailed foxes has the most powerful enchantment spells existed. And... that it's hard to break out of it. " Dijun said. Slowly walking towards the queen.
Feng Jiu's eyes widened when she realized what Dijun meant. Anger rushed towards her head and she tried getting out of Dijun's spell. The more she tried breaking it off, the more it exhausted her. Then she gave up but her anger is going to errupt.

Dijun folded his arms on his chest and he nodded his head. Acknowledging what she just said. Her eyes widened more.

Feng Jiu screamed at Dijun. She's angry and she felt insulted of him tying her and suspecting her of enchanting him. She released a bitter laugh.
"I wouldn't stick around you." she said and huffed in anger. Feng Jiu's got surprised when Dijun is already infront of her and they're just inches apart. Her anger dissipated when Dijun lifted her chin and Dijun stared at her face seriously then she heard him said,
"I believe you didn't enchant me. But... Why is it that I can't get you out of my head hmmm? "
Feng Jiu frowned.
"That's not my fault. You're Dong Hua Dijun. You can forget me easily. Besides, after your talk with my grandfather, there is no reason for us to see each other again. "
To Feng Jiu's surprise Dijun chuckled and caressed her chin and it sent chills all over her body. She gulped.

Feng Jiu on the other hand felt her heart stop. Her blood froze and she didn't expect to hear those from Dijun. Does this means he... Feng Jiu stopped her train of thought when Dijun slowly lowered his face above hers and in a whisper she said warily,
"What... What are you doing now Dijun? " Feng Jiu's heart couldn't stand more of Dijun's actions. She's starting to get scared and she wants to move, run away and hide.
"Ninetailed foxes. Such strong ancient beings that even your appearances are already like a weapon. " Dijun said then his thumb caressed her lower lip.
Feng Jiu can only just gulped down her saliva. She's already a goddess but her abilities are useless since it's Dijun who's holding her prisoner.
"Dijun... Please just let me go. It's not appropriate. I'm going to marry in the future one way or another."
Feng Jiu saw Dijun's jaw moved and his adams apple bobbed up and down his throat. She saw anger flashed in his eyes.
"Oh? But you're not going to marry Xiaobai."
"What?" she didn't understand what he meant.
"Do you want to make a bet? " he whispered back.
To her surprise Feng Jiu felt Dijun's lips on hers. Her breathe hitched, her heart stopped and her eyes widened. She couldn't believe it. Dong Hua Dijun, the almost monk and unfeeling god just kissed her.
