It has been a week now after that news blow off of Dijun and I dating. But then, another news blow out again and its Dong Hua on the front page with an unknown woman. This made me raise my brows. My phone kept on ringing. As I check, it was Dijun. I frowned. No, I will not answer his call.
I am irritated as hell at the moment that I can't focus on my work. I wanted to cry too. Remembering how distracted Dijun was in the past days while I was talking to him over the phone and Dijun's excuses that he is busy with work came into my mind. He made lots of excuses Bai Feng Jiu. Now we know why. He is indeed busy... Busy entertaining another woman! She thought to herself.
And her phone rang again. As she checked, it was her Grandfather. Ofcourse her family will know. Now the whole country knows too. Feng Jiu released an angry grunt. She turned off her phone and decided to ditch work.
"Migu, I'll take a whole day off. My phone is turned off too so don't call me. If one of my family will come, just tell them I went somewhere."
Feng Jiu didn't wait for Migu to reply and stormed off out of her 3 floored building. She went to the parking lot and went inside her car. Then she released a loud sigh. She leaned her head and back on the car seat and closed her eyes. Feng Jiu could still see in her thoughts the woman who allegedly Dijun went out with and her ire rise up again. Feng Jiu held the steering wheel in anger and turned on her engine and drove to where she can blow off some steam. The words on that arcticle came again to her mind it seems the heir of Dijun empire and the vamp heiress are getting cozy too...
Feng Jiu stopped her car on the side of the road and bit her lower lip. Her heart hurts. It it breaking in two. Feng Jiu just realized tears is streaming down her cheeks. Feng Jiu wiped away her tears. Oh no... I am actually inlove with him already. And Feng Jiu just cried with sadness. Feng Jiu. You're so naive to think that he'll stick with you. Compared to that woman, you look like a kid. Maybe Dijun likes sexy, mature and also into the business world. Feng Jiu with her inner monologue. Then an idea came in her head. She needs to clear this to Dong Hua.
Feng Jiu is determined and whatever the outcome of her actions, she'll make sure that she'll get Dijun to talk to her. She turned on her phone and right away it rang. Maybe God is helping her for it is Dijun calling. Feng Jiu inhaled deeply then answered
"Yes? " she made sure that the tone of her voice remains cold.
"Xiaobai Thank God you answered. I just want you to know that there is nothing between me and the woman in the news." there is panic and worry laced in Dijun's voice. Feng Jiu closed her eyes. She actually missed him.
"Where are you? " Feng Jiu asked.
"I am actually in the middle of a meeting and since I learned of this news, I can't concentrate in there so, I took a break. "
"Where... Where is that woman? "
She carefully asked in a whisper.
Then silence. Feng Jiu released a bitter smile.
"She's part of the meeting is that right? "
Feng Jiu heared Dijun released a loud sigh and then said,
"Dijun empire has been courting the Su Group for almost two years now. This business deal is very important to us Xiaobai. "
"But your company is stable why do you need a deal from her? " Feng Jiu asked with her voice a notch higher than her normal calm voice.
"This proposal has been already in motion before I met you Xiaobai..."
"Are you saying I am a flaw and a mistake to all of your plans Dong Hua? "
"Xiaobai! Don't put word's on my mouth and I don't mean it like that okay? "
Then a sobbed escaped from Feng Jiu's lips. Her tears started to fall again.
"Xiaobai please... Don't do this to me... If I am not in a middle of something I'll come to you right away-"
"Let's just stop this Dong Hua before we hurt each other more. Before we dive in too deep. "
Feng Jiu hardened her resolve. For her, Dong Hua just chose what is more important to him and clearly, she is not a priority to him at the moment. She bitterly smiled to herself. She already fell for him but she doesn't have the heart to make him chose. As much as a brat as she is, Dijun Empire is the life blood of his family and his, so she better make the decision for him.
"You clearly have your priorities and I am not raised by my family to fight for something others are staking claim of. I guess this is a goodbye for us...." Feng Jiu closed her eyes and put her free hand on her mouth to stop the sobs from escaping.
"Xiaobai... Don't do this please... " in a soft whisper, Dong Hua pleaded that broke Feng Jiu's heart.
"Bye Dong Hua. Thank you for indulging me for the past month and weeks. " Feng Jiu whispered and ended the call and turned it off.
Then Feng Jiu released the sob she tried in hiding in case Dong Hua will hear her. She doesn't want to make herself sound pathetic but she is feeling it now. She is indeed pathetic.
People in the business world has already seen Dong Hua and the woman go out in the past and now, it looks like she's the other woman. She sobbed loudly. She's feeling a lot, from embarrassment, to anger and self pity.
She leaned her head on the steering wheel and just let her broken heart out by the sobs.
On the other hand, Ji Heng is actually listening to Dong Hua talking silently on the phone in which she guessed is the heiress Bai Feng Jiu. She smiled wickedly hearing that the Bai woman is disturbed on her arrival and the news she made sure that will blow out.
Ji Heng contacted a friend in the press and informed that friend that she is going in an event on which, Dong Hua Dijun is her escort. It is not hard to persuade Dong Hua since she used the leverage of the company deal to make him agree to go out with her.
She smiled again when she heard Dong Hua pleaded. She knew she succeded in swatting the fly away. Don't be too ambitious Bai Feng Jiu. I am better and the best in this kind of game. Ji Heng knew Dong Hua is vulnerable now and when she knew that the call has ended, she decided to show herself and said,
"Dong Hua? Is everything alright?" she put on her acting facade showing that she is indeed worried of him.
Ji Heng saw Dong Hua's shoulder moved up then down. He seems to release a deep sigh. Then turned towards her and gave her a small smile.
Ji Heng secretly celebrate deep inside when Dong Hua didn't shrugged off her hand that is touching his shoulder. Instead she saw Dong Hua stared at her stoop a little and whispered in her ear and said,
"I don't know what you're up too Su Ji Heng but I want to warn you. I don't like being the object of your boredom. Whatever game you are playing, I don't want to be a part of it. "
Ji Heng feigned a gasp and she expertly show the hurt look on her face and said,
"Whatever do you mean Dong Hua? I do care for you greatly. I don't mean any harm. "
Dong Hua just stared at her as if assesing the genuine care she is trying to show. For now, he'll let her off since he still needs to attend the meeting and win back Xiaobai later. Dong Hua left Ji Heng and went back inside the meeting room.
Ji Heng stared at Dong Hua's back and bit her lower lips. She smiled triumphantly. You'll be mine soon Dong Hua. And she too, walked back inside the meeting room.
