Chapter 0373—Easy Win
The next day, Drako Yau awoke with a strange expression. He sat up, the dark fluff on his chest rolling down onto his bed. It wriggled, turned around, then continued to sleep.
Surprise soon took over his face. He hadn’t activated Boiling Form for too long yesterday, but he had also infused internal forces into Icy Prison of Ninth Hell to ensure it’d hold Zealler in for long enough. Both placed a considerable burden on his body; it should’ve taken him a while longer to recover based on past experience.
I’m all patched up after a night’s sleep? Is my body adapting to Boiling Form?
It was a possible explanation. Frost Form and Flame Form used to take a significant toll on his body tool. As he used them more and more, he could now sustain them long enough for most battles without harming himself. However, Boiling Form was on an entirely different level. It was inconceivable that he’d adapt to it so quickly, especially considering that he couldn’t actually sustain it longer but instead recover sooner.
Drako Yau then glanced at the black, chubby thing next to him. Wait… Could it be Charcoal?
“Charcoal, wake up.”
Charcoal kept its eyes shut, as though it couldn’t hear him.
“Charcoal, how about a walk?”
It immediately widened its crystal eyes and barked merrily.

Drako Yau ended up bringing Charcoal to a remote plain that no one ever visited. He played with it in an attempt to lure out its abnormal behaviours, hoping he could figure out what it actually was. Unfortunately, his attempt was to no avail. Charcoal enjoyed the playing session like any other puppy, and whenever he asked it a question, it merely tilted its head and blinked its innocent eyes.
The “battle” went on the entire morning. In the end, Drako Yau gave up and simply played fetch with Charcoal. As he carried it back to the city, an idea struck him. He took out a miniature house from his item bag and threw it into the air.
The tiny house enlarged in the blink of an eye and became a lavish tent. It stood on the grassy ground, its golden laces wavering on the gold-forged tent poles. Indeed, it was the Travelling Palace he exchanged with Merit long ago.
Drako Yau entered the tent with Charcoal in his embrace. The tent’s interior was far larger than his residence in Yoda. It was a mobile mansion that could house ten or so people, after all. Once Charcoal was let free on the ground, it hopped happily onto the stairs and ran around.
Sneakily, Drako Yau left the tent, placed it into his item bag, then opened it up once again. He entered to find Charcoal wagging its tail, welcoming his return. From now on, Charcoal no longer had to live in that cramped house.

Idyllic Poet and Windstrider both showed terrorised looks as they asked, “Boss, are we really doing this?”
On the other hand, Greenstone remained unbothered, while Danting seemed more than eager to have a go. The brutal battle was far from a typical dungeon boss fight. Zealler could kill them with one slash of his claws, and the most infuriating thing was the dungeon run didn’t count. They endured so many hardships and even sacrificed Idyllic Poet and Windstrider, only to receive nothing in return—not even a single item dropped from the dungeon!
Thankfully, players could respawn at the starting location once in Hell difficulty dungeons. Idyllic Poet and Windstrider were both out of the fight anyway since they couldn’t pass through the beastmen encampment without Drako Yau leading the way.
Drako Yau said with a serious expression, “Of course. I don’t think Zealler will appear again.”

As expected, a system announcement stirred up a commotion a while later.
“Team ‘Dragon Alliance’ has cleared the dungeon, Beastmen Territory (Hell), for the first time ever. The record is 18 minutes, 49 seconds.”
With a month gone since the dungeons’ launch, players now had all sorts of information on the dungeons. Dark Elven Village was known to have the highest damage-dealing monsters because it housed assassin and ranger-type dark elves. The Demon Race Encampment had varied monsters that cooperated to perform unexpected assaults on the players. Undead Tribal Lands was full of undead that resurrected endlessly.
Among the four dungeons, Beastmen Territory was widely acknowledged as the most challenging dungeon that was almost impossible to clear because of the encampment region.
Beastmen Territory consisted of two sections. First was the encampment of tents, the place where the beastmen tribe resided. Once a beastman discovered the players, a dozen well-trained beastmen consisting of beefy tanks, skirmishers, and archers would come flooding. With high Health and decent cooperation, they were tough opponents.
Even worse, a new beastmen squad spawned in less than a minute every time players defeated one. A squad of investigative players performed an experiment where they remained at the same location and fought off the waves of beastmen. After slaying over ten waves, they were stunned to realise the monsters showed no sign of thinning down; they concluded that the beastmen spawned infinitely.
If battle wasn’t a viable option, then it would be down to stealth. That, however, was just as hopeless. Beastmen patrols and spawning locations in each instance of the dungeon were random, and there was simply no way to plot their location beforehand.
Rumours had it that a squad got unbelievably lucky and managed to sneak through the region undetected. Only then did the players realise the dungeon had a second section to it. Naturally, the squad fell victim to the final boss and perished.
Slaughtering the beastmen was impossible, while plotting out their patrolling paths and lines of sight for each run would require an inhuman level of observation. For these reasons, Beastmen Territory was infamous for its difficulty.
Just how did someone manage to clear such a seemingly impossible-to-clear dungeon?

Passing through the beastmen encampment region was no challenge for Drako Yau. His Frost Form functioned just like a radar, bringing him information on everything within range. He could also focus his attention to increase his range in a certain direction. Just like that, he easily snuck through the patrols and bypassed the part which players found the most difficult.
Rather, he was more bothered by something else. In front of them was a huge corpse of the beastmen tribemaster. It was identical to Zealler in terms of appearance, and while fairly strong, its prowess was far from that of Zealler. Without Danting’s lethal strike, they would’ve been annihilated already, including Drako Yau who would lose his life as a Maverick.
Compared to Zealler who activated Vitality Drain, the beastmen tribemaster they fought this time was far too friendly, so much that It almost brought a tear to Idyllic Poet’s eyes.
This is what a game’s supposed to feel like! Idyllic Poet thought.
Everything in the game felt weird ever since she joined Drako Yau’s ranks. A few days ago, she roared involuntarily for mistaking salt for sugar while cooking, and the fire on the stove suddenly surged into a blast.
Am I also turning into a monster?
