Chapter 0374—Street Fighter
Everything seemed to have returned to normal.
Beastmen tribemaster? Check.
Combat strength? Check.
Item drops upon death? Check.
What happened yesterday, then? Drako Yau was deep in thought. Out of the blue, John, who battered him with White Jade Palm, came to mind.
That day, John had told him this. “Worry not. Since you’re the first Maverick to enter, you’re the only one who can meet me. Others who enter after you will only see a projection of mine, a projection of my memories.”
A projection of memories? That’d mean we defeated the real John, and the others have only fought his projections. Is Zealler the real beastmen tribemaster too? But why did it appear personally in the dungeon?
The feeling that he had been neglecting all this time resurfaced once again—the game was a huge mystery. He delved into this game to uncover why it was so similar to the game he developed and the stories the old geezer told him. The old geezer might have told the story to others, but that didn’t explain why the scenery, monsters, and even parameters were identical to his creation.
He felt he was in a sea of fog. No matter how hard he tried to push away the fog ahead, only a denser layer awaited him.

“Boss! Boss!” Danting cheesily waved his arms in front of Drako Yau. “What’s wrong? You’re asleep?”
Drako Yau chuckled beneath his mask and knocked Danting on the forehead. “You’re always goofy, aren’t you? Maybe you should learn from Strider.”
Danting scratched his head and put up a pitiful face. “But Strider’s a workaholic… No way.”
“Talking back, huh?”
“Alright, alright.” Idyllic Poet walked over and interrupted their little drama. She was seemingly in a good mood now that the dungeon was back to normal. “A piece of a Level 40 epic set dropped. It’s a cloth armour item too, so it’d be disrespectful of me to decline it.”
Drako Yau had checked the item’s stats beforehand, so he nodded and said, “Its set effect boosts magic attacks, which doesn’t work for Greenstone. You can have it.”

Drako Yau didn’t let the mysteries weigh on his mind for too long. His mentality had changed recently, which was why he had been neglecting his previous thoughts. Instead of neglecting them, he felt there was something more important at hand—to become stronger.
The old geezer had once told him the only way to break free from this place was to become stronger. If there were someone whom he believed in without hesitation, that’d be the old geezer. To him, the old geezer was like his father, even more so than his blood-related father.
Drako Yau had a hunch that everything would soon be unveiled. The feeling was increasingly intense ever since the Warring Wastelands became available, and it further elevated once he awakened to Boiling Form.
Perhaps Ninth Hell City was where he’d learn everything about this mysterious game.

Drako Yau and his companions didn’t receive the system notification that indicated they could leave.
In front of them was a prison cell, which the beastmen tribemaster had been seemingly defending. Could it be the prison’s guardian? Who was locked in it such that a tribemaster had to guard it all day round?
As Drako Yau and the others approached the prison cell, it suddenly exploded and gave off a blinding flash before they even got close. The pitch-black room robbed them of their vision, striking fear within them.
As the dazzling brilliance dimmed, they saw a pair of glowing wings, presumably the source of the sudden flash. The word “angel” naturally came to mind at the sight of those white, feathery wings. Angels—they were synonymous with the god race. In other words, the prison had been holding a member of the god race.
The folded pair of wings extended into its full length, showering the platform with snowy feathers. The being showed a merciful smile and said, “Thank you, brave heroes, for freeing me from ten thousand years of imprisonment.”
An ID appeared above the angel: Gabriel.
The name instantly made Drako Yau recall information regarding Gabriel. As an archangel of heaven, Gabriel was in charge of heavenly matters.
The outcome didn’t surprise him too much. The system had spoken of four great elders imprisoned by the demon race, and coincidentally, there were four dungeons. A simple guess was all it took to hypothesise that the four dungeons housed the four great elders, and the players would rescue them.
Drako Yau thought, Based on the current progression, will we be freeing Michael the archangel in the Ninth Hell City?
Gabriel gradually descended to the ground and smiled like a benevolent elderly. “The god race shall shine once again. This time, all darkness shall be banished.”
System notifications then rang in their heads.
“Title obtained: Gabriel’s Liberators.”
“Title obtained: Visitors of Beastmen Territory.”
“Title obtained: Peek-a-Boo.”

“Sir, I believe we should act,” said the shadow behind Zeus.
The man was Zeus’ shadow, no more than that. However, as the divine king’s shadow, he was capable of shrouding the world in darkness.
“Poseidon…”
The blue-haired laughed and replied, “Zeus, don’t use me as an excuse.”
Zeus smiled wryly. Handling the shadow was the one thing he wasn’t comfortable with. “Very well, do as you wish. Don’t go overboard, though.”
“Understood.” The shadow bowed, then vanished from sight.

Meanwhile, a noteworthy incident took place in Olympus. Grumpyteen, a player who wasn’t particularly well known, initiated a challenge at Kalex, palace master of the Fire Palace.
While Kalex had held his position for an extended period, his vicious personality made him an unwelcome figure. It was Musashi, one of the Four Generals, who vouched for Grumpyteen’s qualification to initiate the challenge.
To Musashi, Kalex was a bit of an eyesore ever since the siege on the Eastern Holy Ground. While Kalex’s request for Musashi to retreat was the logical decision, it didn’t quite fit his temper as a hot-blooded warrior. He saw himself in Grumpyteen, which was why he came to like the young man.
The challenge took place soon after. Kalex, renowned as the best fire elementalist of the West, was utterly defeated. Just like that, Grumpyteen became the new palace master with a strong display of strength.
His next move was to gather the elites under his wing and challenge Demon Race Encampment. In half a day, the world received the notification that announced his success.
Grumpyteen took the world by storm, and people began calling him by the name of his ultimate skill, Street Fighter.
