Chapter 0375—Dungeon Lockdown
Twenty days remained until the day of dungeon result settlement. The relatively calm war finally entered its next stage.
Numerous Western players appeared outside the four dungeons’ entrances. The Five Palaces and Twelve Chambers were all mobilised and evenly distributed across the four locations, guarding the entrances such that only friendlies were allowed passage. Eastern players, who were used to acting on their own accord, were taken by surprise and were mostly routed.
The Western server never made any declarations of war, for their action was a declaration in itself. Forbidding all Eastern players from challenging the dungeons was their objective. Soon after the blockades were in place, the West set three new records for three of the dungeons. Grumpyteen and Zeus led two squads respectively, while the last one was composed of the four other palace masters and one of the Four Generals.
The Western server was unstoppable.

“Heh, those Western fellas are stirring up quite a scene!” Hades snickered as his gaze turned cold.
Chau Yu remained silent, but his eyes were just as hostile. Drako Yau appeared calmer though. Hardly anyone could clear Beastmen Territory without insane detection skills like his Frost Form, after all.
Glancing at Drako Yau, who seemed rather unbothered, Chau Yu felt all the more annoyed. “Mask, come up with something!”
Drako Yau was startled. “What else can there be apart from war?”
The other two were left without words. Indeed, the only option they had was war.
Right when the West was establishing their blockade, the East’s counteroffensive began. Dragon Alliance’s flag appeared outside Undead Tribal Lands, while Underworld and Empyreal Alliance marched towards Dark Elven Village and Demon Race Encampment respectively.
The three major forces of the East had come up with a powerful response.

Over a hundred thousand players of Evergrand marched towards the Dark Elven Village. Leading the army was guild master of Underworld, Hades the Diabolos. Bloodless Bladester, Everlastor, Unceasable, Soulsmith, and other elites were also among the ranks. Naturally, Chan Ka Lok, master swordsman and guild master of Red Flower Society, also participated in the operation.
The Pisces, Scorpio, Libra, and Cancer Chambers, along with the Water Palace that boasted outstanding crowd control effects, were the defenders. They were on full alert, standing upright and always ready for combat.
The Water Palace master, Mira, stood respectfully in silence behind a figure. This time, she wasn’t the commander in charge. The one who led the army was one of the Three Gods, the one more commonly known as Zeus’ shadow. With him taking charge, the Western players had no doubt they’d win the upcoming battle.
The figure grinned slyly at the sight of the approaching flags. “Underworld? Fabulous, just fabulous!”
The four chamber masters and Mira, the palace master, were taken aback despite not showing it on their faces. This was the first time they had seen the sombre shadow show such emotions.
Perhaps realising his blunder, the shadow took in a deep breath, then ordered, “Prepare for battle. Pisces will man both flanks, Scorpio and Libra will be the main battle force in the centre, and Cancer will stay in the rear as support. Mira, the Water Palace shall control the entire battlefield.”
“Understood!” they all replied loudly, then began handing out orders to their subordinates.
Like flowing mercury, the defenders began shifting into their formation.

A frown formed on Hades as the Western army shifted their formation so smoothly. Unlike Drako Yau, he had experienced countless in-game wars. The fluid change of formations indicated that both the commander and the army were accustomed to battle. Indeed, Olympus had begun training their players for large-scale battles long ago, providing them with an apparent advantage over the East, which had been engaged in prolonged civil war.
Evergrand’s army knew only one formation. Time wasn’t on their side, after all. Getting familiar with a formation took months, especially when it involved so many players. A single error could cause the formation to collapse.
Hades glared at the enemy army and commanded, “Into formation!”
Once he gave the command, the Evergrand players began shifting into their trained positions. Their disorderly march turned into a sharp cone; it appeared extraordinarily sharp when formed by hundreds of thousands of players.
The formation was a familiar one to the Western players. War of the Daemons had been particularly popular in the West, after all—Diabolos’ Blade, wielded by Hades the Diabolos!
“Fighters, use your weakest damaging skill. Ranged, use your weakest ranged attacking skill.” Giving the same order as always, Hades unsheathed his sword that gave off a cold glimmer.

“Ha! It’s the Diabolos’ Blade as expected. Hades, you have nothing up your sleeves, do you!” The shadow grinned. “Once we engage, the three central chambers will fall back and let them in. Flanks, push forwards as the centre retreats.”
“Diabolos’ Blade… Heh… You’ve used it hundreds of times already. Do you think it’s really unstoppable?”
“Kill!” Hades yelled and charged at the forefront.
“Cancer, fire!” At the shadow’s order, countless ranged attacks decorated the skies with deadly fireworks that rained down upon the Evergrand players. The sight of several thousand skills cast simultaneously was a sight to behold—and one that struck fear.
“Paladins! War God’s Blessings!”
Numerous massive shields formed above the attackers as they pressed on—ultimate skill of the Paladin class, War God’s Blessings! The fireworks crashed into the cone of shields, splattering sparks all over.
White glows flashed without ceasing among the advancing cone formation. Even War God’s Blessings couldn’t protect a hundred thousand players. However, that was enough to cushion the blow and allow them to close their distance rapidly.
Hades, who had always ignored common sense that dictated commanders should stay in safety, was the first to engage the enemy. Yes, he was a commander, but he was also a fighter. He believed in leading by example, even on the battlefield.
Shadowstrike—Hades appeared in front of the enemy’s main force so quickly that they could hardly locate him.
