Warning: cursing, sexual references, abusive behavior
After we arrived at my apartment, I unlocked the door and walked inside to the messy living room. Papers and candy wrappers were scattered on the coffee table, with a cat mug sitting on top of it. The TV stand had fake plants and various Pinterest-like decorations on it, with no particular design in mind. The rug was mostly clean, except for the one single wine stain that had a story behind it
I had this boyfriend in the past that loved to drink wine. He was super nice until he got drunk. But, to please his needs, I kept his wine meter up, in hopes that he would treat me well, no matter if he was drunk or not. But, that one single night, he wanted more than just wine; he wanted me. Things got out of hand and they went in his favor, which completely disregarded how I felt about it. After that, I broke up with him and I got more backlash from it than I expected. He started saying things like "Your dick is small anyway, you whore!". I was in a dark time, both in the relationship and out. But, things are starting to look up, now that Liam is here.
"Nice place you got", Liam said, approvingly. "Thanks, it's kind of a mess though," I replied, sheepishly. "So...what do you want to do first?" he asked, taking a seat in the tan-colored couch. "We could watch a movie, play video games...", I mumbled, counting off my fingers, "I have some board games we can play too". "Wait...", I said, a thought coming to mind, "Have you seen Love, Simon?", I asked, hoping he would say no. "I haven't, is it any good?" he asked. Score! A gay movie with a gay friend was exactly how I wanted this to go. I had no idea if he was gay, but this might lead in the right direction, right? "Yeah, it's pretty good; we can watch it if you want", I replied, taking a seat next to Liam, "Heck, I'm done," he replied, handing me the TV remote.
After I troubleshooted my TV for the billionth time since I got it. I found "Love, Simon" in my saved movies on Vudu. I hit play and let the rest of the moment play out; that was...until I fell asleep
