"Talking about friend, how are your college life, Junior?"
I flinched as Joshua threw a sudden question at me. Since I attended college, this person started to call me 'Junior'. I was his junior since we are from the same university and major. To be honest, I got to that major by accident. I remembered that I put the code of other major during test and I did not remember filling his major's code. Unfortunately, my memory was proven wrong. I probably got the code wrong.
Well, that was in the past. I had no intention on retaking the test. Also, talking about my college life, I had nothing to say.
"Normal, I guess,"
"Normal?" Joshua tilted his head in confusion.
"I attend the class, then I go home. Normal,"
Hearing my answer, mother looked at me with disbelief. I did not understand the meaning of that gaze. She walked towards me and put hands on my shoulder. She looked deadly serious right now.
"Clarissa, how about club?" asked Mother.
"Go home club."
"Then, organization?"
"Didn't join any. Wait, why are you interrogating me?"
Mother let go of my shoulder as she sighed.
"Well, at least you are making friends, right?"
"Castille is on the same department."
Castille. It was the name of my close friend since junior high school. She was a girl a kind girl wearing glasses. Somehow she suited the image of class rep or model student perfectly. Just the exterior, though. Once you knew her, you would find that she was a quite weird. She was a huge gamer to the point she prepared alarm every two hour for the sake of playing mobile game's event.
One of her favorite type of game was visual novel aimed for women....otome game, I think? There was time when she told me to play one. Since she was so persistent on it, I ended up playing it. As expected, I did not understand. I kept failing to the point I was ready to throw my controller, so I asked Joshua who happened to be here to clear it for me.
I brought Castille here several times, so my mother was already familiar with her. Mother should be happy that I still friends with her, but somehow she was wearing such a weird face.
"In short, you still don't have any friends." said Joshua with annoying grin on his face.
"Joshua, thank you for being friends with my son and daughter. Really, they are so hopeless at socializing," said Mother as she shifted her gaze from me to Gilbert who was just finished washing his dishes, then to Joshua.
"Haha! No problem. They are really fun, so they will make friends soon. Right, Junior?" said Joshua as he lightly patted my head.
When he did that, my reflex reaction was to kick his stomach. Then, I noticed that Gilbert also did the same thing. Joshua lost his balance and almost fell from the chair.
"Can you refrain from touching me as you please?"
"Can you refrain from touching my sister as you please?"
Both of me and Gilbert said that at the same time. I could hear Joshua groaned then said like brother, like sister.
