I sat about ninety minutes in the assembly hall during the entrance ceremony. All I did was listen to the speech. I wanted to open the [User Manual] to read further, but no way it would be allowed.
From the speech, I could conclude some things. First, magic did not exist in this world. It seemed to be this game world did not have a fantasy setting. The principal said so in his speech, "...trust your sword, trust your gun because there is no such thing called magic in this world...". Second, there were only a few female students here. Including me, there were around ten students while the male students were sixfold of the female students. Also, the man that escorted me to the school was actually the sword instructor and on the top of that, a real knight.
The real school would begin tomorrow. For now, the students were going to the dorm to place their belongings.
This so-called dorm was surprisingly normal. It even looked like my university's dorm on the outside. I thought it would be more classy since most of the students were nobles.
My room would be number 310 on the third floor. The room as well as the key were assigned by the school after the assembly. It was quite difficult to carry the suitcase all the way up, but I managed to do it.
As soon as I arrived in front of the room, I used the key to get inside. There were a bunk bend, two desks, and two wardrobes inside. I remembered that one room would be shared by two students, but I forgot to check the name. It seemed to be that she was not here yet.
I put my suitcase near the wardrobe. While waiting for my roommate, I decided to flip through the [User Manual]. Actually, I was quite curious what kind of person was my roommate, so I looked to [Characters] section of the book.
The first page was the heroine, Clarissa Edelrose. She was the oldest daughter of Arvis Kingdom's Hero, Claudius Edelrose. Due to family circumstances, she was sent to military academy by her father.
"Circumstances?"
That was important information! I read her details again, this time more carefully. Too bad, I did not find any lead about it. It only said her characteristics and her goal which was to survive in this academy. Quite a low goal, fortunately.
Suddenly, I came to realization that the heroine somehow looked a lot like me in term of face. There were differences like length and color of our hair, though. Came to think of it, I did not have the chance to look at myself earlier.
I stood up in front of the mirror on the wardrobe's door. The person reflected on the mirror looked like the one in [User Manual]. It was definitely my own face, but a little bit younger. The eyes and its emerald green color was the same as mine. My wavy hair also stayed. Although, my shoulder length brown hair somehow became waist length blonde hair.
I was too busy looking at my, or rather, Clarissa Edelrose's reflection in the mirror, so I failed to notice my roommate's presence.
