'So what do you think? Nacho should have a sibling,' Valentine says. Maia and Mateo look at the man with a smile. 'I think you should go for it, Val,' Mateo says. 'I think so too,' Maia smiles and pets Nacho who's laying in her lap. 'Great! It'll probably take a while before I actually get the cat, but I need thoughts on the name,' Valentine says and takes a list out of his apron. 'How many names do you have?' Maia asks surprised seeing the list. 'Not that many, I just don't want to forget any. Are you ready?' Mateo nods.
'Peppermint, Bagel, Cheese, Donut, Freddie Mercury, Isaac,' Valentine says as serious as he means. Maia starts laughing. 'Don't laugh. I'm serious about the names.' Valentine says a little offended. 'I'm sorry, dad. Those are fun names,' Maia says and tries to hold in her laughter. 'I know they are,' Val says and puts the list back in the front pocket of his apron. 'I like Donut,' Mateo says after a silent moment. 'Then Donut it is,' Valentine happily says and stands up. 'You don't want to hear my favourite?' Maia asks. 'No, the young man just named my favourite name,' Valentine says and walks back downstairs to the diner.
'I'm starting to think my dad likes you more than me,' Maia says and looks at her boyfriend. 'That's impossible,' Mateo says and kisses his girlfriend on the lips. 'My father likes you more than your parents like me,' Maia carefully says. 'They have five kids, they just want every child to have a good partner. And then they start comparing the partners, which they really shouldn't. You are a hundred times better than Diego's wife and Juan's girlfriend. They are boring people, you are the most interesting and beautiful person I have ever met,' Mateo says and wraps his arms around the love of his life to give her a hug.
'And you don't need my parents approvel to be my girlfriend. I decide who I love,' Mateo silently says and kisses Maia's cheek. Maia snuggles against Mateo. 'If we had the money, I would live with you in an appartment the following school years,' Maia says after a while. 'Already hating Clara this school year?' Mateo laughs, but appreciates what Maia says. 'No, I just want to be with you every day and every moment we have,' Maia says. 'Aww, I love you too,' Mateo says and kisses Maia. Maia smiles and hugs Mateo.
