---9 1/2 years later---
Over the years, Katsuki’s possessive behavior had only grown worse. He made sure he knew what Izuku was doing all the time, if he wasn’t glued to the boys’ side of course. Izuku and Katsuki were rarely ever split up, the teachers at school had learned to keep them together and their parents wouldn’t even try anymore.
Katsuki’s crush and fondness had grown quite obvious if you tried to look for it-- Well to everyone besides the family pair of oblivious greenettes. He had grown up with his distinct explosive behavior and acted angrily and rash all the time. He became stronger and more dominant due to his quirk as well. Izuku was never diagnosed with a quirk and so he grew being bullied behind Katsuki’s back whenever students got the chance.
Though, whenever Izuku came home with any physical evidence of being allied, Katsuki would flip out. He had even learned how to notice any changes in the green-haired boy’s mood.
Right now, Katsuki was training at the gym. He was doing weights because you can’t only depend on your quirk, duh. Plus he needed to be strong in case anything happened. Izuku was sitting on the floor next to Katsuki’s head, writing in his 13th notebook on hero information. If Katsuki didn’t know any better, he would think the nerd secretly had a strong analysis quirk. Izuku would occasionally get up to add more weight to the bar if Katsuki asked him to.
“Hey, Deku. It’s still too light. Add another 40.” Katsuki demanded.
Izuku immediately got up and put some more weight on, and waited for a second.
“That’s fine for now. Good job.” Katsuki grunted as he continued.
Izuku smiled brightly, sitting back down. He loved Kacchan’s praise. Katsuki didn’t just praise anyone, anyways.
“Hey Kacchan, I’m going to run to the restroom okay?” Izuku warned as he set his notebook and erasable pen on the floor.
Katsuki put his bar on the bar rest, sitting up and nodding. “Yeah, I’ll come.” He huffed, grabbing his water bottle.
“A-Ahh, Kacchan. The bathroom is literally right across the room. I’ll go alone okay?” Izuku laughed embarrassedly. He was used to this behavior from Katsuki though.
“Whatever, hurry the fuck up. Don’t start getting me worried about your shitty ass.” Katsuki huffed.
Oh yeah, Katsuki’s mouth had become way dirtier.
“Of course, you won’t even notice I left Kacchan!” Izuku beamed and starting walking away.
“As if I could ever not notice you missing.” Katsuki mumbled under his breath, laying down and continuing his workout.
When five minutes passed, Katsuki sighed and started grumbling. It shouldn’t take five minutes to piss and wash your hands.
When he opened the bathroom door he saw Izuku washing his face. His eyes were slightly puffy and red. Katsuki stomped over to him and Izuku’s head snapped at the sound of footsteps behind him. When a familiar hand went around his waist he relaxed slightly.
“H-Hi Kacchan?” Izuku said as he shuffled over to the paper towels to dry his hands, a Katsuki still attached to his waist.
Katsuki raised an eyebrow as he made eye contact with Izuku in the mirror. Izuku sighed as he got the message.
“I just had a mini panic attack. I’m over it and I’m fine now, okay Kacchan. Let’s get out of this bathroom.” Izuku tried to start walking but Katsuki picked him up off the floor, suspending him in the air, immobile. Izuku whined, kicking his legs slightly but then stopped so he didn’t hurt Katsuki. “Kacchannn! I’m okay, I swear!”
Katsuki grunted lowly, shaking his head disapprovingly, and pulled Izuku closer for a hug. He was still hanging in the air so Izuku wrapped his legs around Katsuki’s waist as to not fall. Katsuki led his head to his shoulder so Izuku was pressed against him. Izuku hummed, rubbing his face in Katsuki’s neck.
“Stupid nerd, you should have come and got me. I would have helped you through it.” Katsuki grumbled as he walked out of the restroom and back to their bench.
“I know, I’m sorry Kacchan.” Izuku said sadly.
Katsuki looked over his shoulder at Izuku-- who was currently pouting-- and sighed. “I have 16 more sets of 10 and then we’ll go on the track okay?” Katsuki voiced.
“Are you sure Kacchan? You’re really pushing yourself this week… It’s kind of worrying me.” Izuku spoke quietly. Lately, Katsuki had been going at it with his workout routine. He had been training his quirk extra harshly too.
Katsuki side-eyed him quickly, before looking back up, grabbing ahold of the weight bar.
“Don’t worry about it, bunny. I have to be the best I can for the entrance exams in a couple of months and that means pushing myself.” Katsuki reached over to Izuku’s hair and ruffed it up playfully. Izuku leaned into the touch. Kacchan was extra touchy today.
“Okay… If you’re sure Kacchan…”
---
Katsuki and Izuku were running the track by their neighborhood when Katsuki was finished with the weights. Katsuki and Izuku were the only ones there when it happened.
A 50-floor building came crumbling down onto the track. Izuku had screamed and Katsuki pushed him behind himself. Katsuki had tried to grab Izuku and get him out of there. He couldn’t let him get hurt. He looked at the boy in his hands and then the building that was coming down quickly.
“Get on my back and hold the fuck on!” Katsuki shouted, placing him down hurriedly.
Once Izuku was secured on his back he started running away from the building to get some distance and launched himself up with his explosions. Izuku was trembling on his back, trying not to scream as he held on tighter to Katsuki. Katsuki looked behind him and as if in slow motion, he used the momentum he had to throw Izuku on a close roof that was far enough that he wouldn’t be harmed by the falling building.
Katsuki tried to continue creating explosions but he didn’t have enough sweat to make big enough explosions to hold himself in the air. Katsuki was falling and all Izuku could do was scream.
“KATSUKI-!!!” Izuku screamed as he started sobbing hysterically. He watched as Katsuki fell more and more. He heard the building finally crash with the ground.
A few blocks away, a pair of heroes stood on a building for patrol. He and his annoying partner for the day heard a scream and a crash followed after, and immediately ran towards the sound.
Izuku continued screaming to Katsuki. He reached his hand out, just wishing he could grab him. Suddenly, a white flash and a tri-colored flash came out of nowhere.
The was something sturdy wrapping around Katsuki before he could hit the ground and he was placed down softly. He could hear screaming and people questioning but there was only one thing he could think of as he faded in and out of consciousness.186Please respect copyright.PENANAXCL4kuA8os
