It's early morning in the city known as Republic City. We then see the outside the Air Temple, just walking out from the main building was Y/n. When he looked towards the training area, he can see Korra wearing typical air nomad outfit. Judging from where they are and their sitting position, they appear to be meditating.
Y/n: "It's been a day since I found out the truth. That somehow I ended up in another world. Course there's the other thing of where I can somehow understand, talk, and read whatever language they use without ever learning it. Thanks to Tenzin, I was able to learn a lot about this world without giving anything away, but still. How is it possible that I'm here, and why me? I mean other worlds is a fantasy in novels but here I am, in a different but similar world to my own. What I don't understand, other than how and why me, is how are my wounds healed. It isn't reincarnation or rebirth, as this is my body. I still have chakra and the tools I had with me during the war-"
???: "what's wrong dear, you look troubled."
Y/n: "huh-" quickly turns around and sees the voice belongs to Pema, "oh it's you Pema. It's nothing really."
Pema: "I know he isn't telling me the truth, but-/well, whatever it is that's troubling you, know that you can always come to one of us."
Y/n: "t-thank you. I'll do that" she just smiled and walked back into the temple. "Sorry, but I can't trouble you guys with this. That's even if they would believe me. I mean come on, other worlds, I'm still struggling to believe it. I got time, so I might as well make some chakra pills, luckily I asked Sakura to teach me how to make them to make up for my low chakra." the boy then began to walk around collecting some herbs, "it sucks really. I have near perfect recollection, I can copy nearly any jutsu as long as it's within my capabilities and I know how it works. Hell, I even have all 5 chakra natures, but still my damn low chakra holds me back." he then begins to start grinding the herbs in a stone bowl and mixing them together,
Y/n: "no matter how hard I try. I could never increase it. No matter who I turn to, they would never give me what I needed. So why is it that my chakra capacity won't increase. It didn't take long before everyone started leaving me behind. They seemed to have no trouble getting stronger. So why-" he then stopped as he began to think harder, "why can't I get stronger while everyone else has no trouble in doing so. What makes them so different? Does it really boil down to them being in clans while I'm not?"

The boy then continues to mix and mold the herbs into near black colored food pills. This is, until he heard someone walk up behind him.

???: "what are you doing?"
Y/n: quickly turns around to see it was Korra, "oh hey Korra. I'm making cha.......energy pills."
Korra: raises an eyebrow, "energy pills?"
Y/n: "Y-yea. Remember what I said about my stamina."
Korra: "oh yea, now I remember. So you know how to make those, huh? Wait, what did you use?"
Y/n: "Natural herbs"
Korra: "really? Can I try one?"
Y/n: "s-sure/wait..... what would happen if a non chakra user eats one? Ok, now I'm curious." he then hands her one and as she eats it, "weeeell?"
Korra: her face becomes one of disgust, "blauuhh. Tastes nasty."
Y/n: he then chuckles, "yeah, I'm not good as my friend. She taught me how to do this, but not how she makes it taste better. So, how do you feel?"
Korra: "mmm. Actually pretty good. I feel like I have tons of energy." she begins to look at herself and move around.
Y/n: "really?/huh. She doesn't have chakra, so maybe it acts like natural steroids or something. Could be useful info for just in case scenarios./ well, she was a Medical-nin, so she knew what she was doing."
Korra: tilts her head, "Medical-nin?"
Y/n: "it's basically a ninja who's also a doctor. They are taught to defend themselves, but also to provide medical aid on the field."
Korra: "oh, that's handy. Do you miss them?"
Y/n: looks down, "yea, but I'm not sure they miss me. Among my village, I was pretty weak."
Korra: "what, come on. You said they're your friends, I'm sure-no, I know they miss you. If they really are your friends, strong or weak, they'll care about you." the boy then looks at her almost confused, "what?"
Y/n: "oh, just wasn't expecting something so mushy from you."
Korra: "oh, shut up." she playfully punches him on the shoulder, causing him to chuckle.
Y/n: "so how is your air bending training?"
Korra: "gaaah. Don't EVEN get me started."
Y/n: "that bad, huh?"
Korra: "you have no idea. I just can't get a handle on this thing. Maybe air bending isn't for me?"
Y/n: "I'm sure you'll get it. You're the Avatar, after all."
Korra: "I guess you're right. Well, I'm going to train some more, see ya."
Y/n: "see ya." she then walked off, allowing him to continue his pill making, "blauhhh. She wasn't kidding. This is horrible."

We now see into one of the air temple's many rooms. Inside one is where Y/n is currently sleeping, but it appears something's wrong with him. He begins to fidget, sweating up a storm. His face is clearly showing he's in pain as he grasps the blanket hard but, suddenly, he jolts awake and quickly sits up with his eyes widen. His breath is so labored that he's struggling to breath. He then slowly places his left hand over his left eye while looking in pain and exhausted.

Y/n: "damn it. Those nightmares again. I...... I can't stop hearing them. The screaming, their bodies laying limp on the ground. The sounds of their bo-" suddenly the boy heard some quiet noises outside, "huh?

The boy gets out of bed and heads to his window. When he reaches it, he opens it up to get a better look outside. When he looks around, he sees Korra sneaking off into the city, using her water bending to traverse the ocean.

Y/n: "Korra? Now what is she up too? Well, I need to get my mind off of those nightmares anyways." he then makes the ram hand seal. Suddenly, a puff of smoke envelops him, revealing he has turned into an eagle.
* But as an eagle.
Y/n: "I have no idea why people take more advantage of this jutsu when it had so many uses, oh well."
* A/n: like seriously. This jutsu is actually broken. So far, it has no limit on the size of the thing who can transform into or what. You could turn into a rat and sneak into anywhere, or into an eagle to go anywhere fast. Or as a shuriken and let someone take you to their hide-out without them even knowing it. Like come on.

As an eagle, the boy jumps on the window sill and flies away. Using the eagle's enhanced vision to track her down. He eventually finds her outside of a large arena like building.
Y/n: "Holy crap, this building is huge. I've never seen on this large before. Even the Hokage mansion pales in comparison..... Huh?" he sees her sneak in through the back of the building, "what's she doing?" he continues to follow her but can't anymore, do to her entering the building, "crap. I can't go any further. It would look suspicious if an eagle was in there. Well, I could always turn into a rat or something......... I'm totally stalking her, aren't I? Maybe I should get an overhead view from that glass roof?"

The boy then slowly descends down to the building and lands onto the class roof, standing on the of the muntin holding the widow in place. He looks on and sees just the sheer amount of people that are in there.

Y/n: "wooooah." even the eagle's eyes widen, "this looks so cool. Is this some kind of arena? Are they taking something like the Chunin exams, or is this a sport?" he begins to look around and finally sees Korra with some guy, "there you are. Now, how should I handle this?"
It now shifts down inside the arena, where we can see Korra talking to a guy in some kind of odd outfit.
Bolin: "the names Bolin by the way."
Korra: "Korra.... sooo are you a pro bender or something?"
Bolin: shots his arms up and points at himself with his thumb, "oh you bet and-"
???: "Bolin! What are you doing? Wait, what is SHE doing here? Get her out now!"
Bolin: "come on, Mako, don't be like that. She's just curious, is all. Besides, there's something special about her, I can just feel it. Oh, this is Mako by the way, my older brother."
Korra: waves "hey."
Mako: ignores her, "little brother, stop messing around. We got a match to get ready for."
Korra: Mako walks past her, "did he just brush me off?"
Bolin: "oh, right. Sorry Korra, but you get to watch a pro bender at work." he said with a smile and a wink.

We see now that it's the end of the match, as the Fire Ferrets of won their match. We see as Bolin walks up to Korra.
Bolin: "sooo, what do you think?"
Korra: "what do I think?" she then grabs him by the collar, "what do I think? That was amazing!"

She then playfully pushes him away, causing him to chuckle. Then the pair notice Mako and his teammate walking past the pair, arguing about something. Brushing past them, clearly annoying Korra.

Bolin: "yeaaah sorry about him but-woah is that an eagle?"
Korra: raises an eyebrow, "eagle?"

He begins to reach out his hand to pet it, but it then glares daggers at him, causing him to get scared and quickly retracting his hand. It then flies behind them and lands on the floor. They watch with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. It then drops the ball from its mouth, unleashing a small pillar of smoke.

When the smoke pillar clears, the pair can clearly see that Y/n is standing there with his arms crossed.

Korra: "Y/n!" she rubs the back of her head meekly, "f-fancy meeting you here, heheheheee." he then raises an eyebrow, causing her to put her open hands together in a pleading like position, "pleeeeeeease don't tell Tenzin. I just couldn't take it anymore."
Bolin: "woah woah woah woah woah, pause. Are we not going to talk about how he turned into an eagle..... are you a wizard or something?"
Y/n: quickly looks at him, "what, no."
Korra: "oh, I should introduce him. This is my friend, Y/n, and he's a ninja. And Y/n, this is Bolin."
Bolin: "a ninja!" his eyes turn to stars, "so coool!"
Korra: "but now that Bolin mentions it. How did you do that?"
Y/n: "oh, that. Well simple really. It's easy for use to train animals to do certain tasks that we can't. So I trained the eagle to come in here and drop that smoke bomb, to make a very ninja-esk entrance."
Both: "oh."
Y/n: "but off that note. You do realize Tenzin is going to be pissed, right?"
Korra: "I know, I know, but, gaaah. It's just-i cant get a handle on it. So I thought what I needed was something to distract me."
Bolin: "Yeah!" leans over to Korra, "what are we talking about?"
Korra: "my air bending trying, cuase im the Avatar."
Bolin: "Avatar!" leans in and whispers, "did you know she was the avatar? Huh?"
Bolin: looks to see no one was there, "oh, now ones there. Nevermind."
Y/n: lets out a sigh, "Fiiiiine. I won't tell him, but-"
Korra: quickly runs up to him and hugs him, even lifting him up a bit, "thank you thank you thank you! You're the best."
Y/n: he starts to blush, "this has never happened before. I don't know how to handle this, but I never realized how big and soft her brea-WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING?! She's my friend who's done so much for me. I can't be thinking these types of things." she finally lets go of him with a big o smile, while he tries to recollect himself, "ahem. Like I said, I won't tell him, but if he catches you, you're on your own."
Korra: "I can deal with that, but that's IF he does. Wait, why don't you join me. I know you can't participate because of your curse, but It's something we can do, and you're an accomplice now." she forms a cheeky smile.
Bolin: tilts his head, "curse?"
Korra: quickly covers her mouth, "shit, I didn't mean to-sorry."
Y/n: "it's fine, Korra. If he's going to be your friend, he might as well know a little about me. As Korra just said. I'm a ninja, but I'm also a water bender. My tribe was very talented in the art. So much so that a being of unknown origin became jealous of us and created a curse and cast it onto us. Now, we're forced to preform what we call hand sighs to use our bending. The advantage being we don't need to perform martial arts, the downside is that it greatly drains our stamina."
Bolin: his eyes widen, "woah." she elbows him on the side of the gut, "ow... I mean, sorry. But wait, I thought-"
Y/n: "that all ninjas dead out?"
Bolin: "wait. How did you know that." covers his mouth, "do you have esp?"
Y/n: looks unamused, "no"
Korra: chuckles slightly, "everyone at the temple as already asked that."
Bolin: "oh...... wait, temple?"
Korra: "well yeah. I live in the air temple, so I can practice my air bending."
Bolin: "that's so cool......... so they're not dead." causing Korra to facepalm.
Y/n: lets out a sigh, "in the 4 nation it would appear so, but beyond that, no."
Bolin: "oh........but."
Korra: quickly looks at the time and panic, "shit, it's getting late. Come on Y/n. We gotta go before anyone notices we're gone."
* A/n: I have no idea if clocks are a thing, and I genuinely can't remember. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Y/n: "huh....h-hey!" she quickly grabs his arm and runs.
Korra: "it was nice meeting you, Bolin! I'll be over later, ok?!"

It's a few days since their time at the Pro Bending Arena and like Y/n promised, he didn't tell Tenzin or anyone for that matter. During this time, Korra continued her train but would also sneak out to meet up with Bolin, so he could teach her some of the basics of Pro Bending, much to his older brother's annoyance. Y/n would follow sometimes, do to not having much to do, but not too often, so they don't raise any suspicion. Despite not having much to do there either, you do quite enjoy spending time with Korra and her new friend Bolin. Course Mako doesn't like the fact that they now have 2 intruders in their gym, course Y/n doesn't really give a flying fuck about what he thinks.
Now back at the air temple, Korra is still trying to air bend, but can't get the handle of it. They even tried to teach her how to graceful move like a leaf in the wind.
However, that too didnt work. so in a bit of fustration, Korra unleached a ferry of fire blasts, destorying the training area.

Tenzin: in utter disbelief, "Korra..... that was a 2 thousand-year-old relic and you just..... destroyed it, in an instant."
Korra: "well, the training isn't sinking in! I just can't get a handle on any of it! Its sooo-gaaaah. It's just so frustrating!" she crosses her arms in annoyance and huffs.
Tenzin: tries to calm himself, "look, Korra. This isn't something you can just brute force. It takes time, it takes patience."
Korra: "well, MAYBE you're just a bad teacher!"

With that, she just storms off. Leaving them all behind. In the background, Meelo agrees with her while kicking a piece of the burnt up relic, while his 2 daughters try to comfort him.

Y/n: walks up to them, "I wish I could help-" causing Tenzin to look at him, "but I don't know a single thing about air bending."
Tenzin: lets out a defeated sigh. "No, you don't have to worry about it, but maybe you can help her meditate?"

Tenzin: "Jinora has told me that she would often see you meditating in some strange position."
Y/n: "strange position-"
Y/n: "ohhhh./she must've seen me try and gather nature chakra. I still can't get it to work, but I'm starting to get close./it's a position rooted in my tribe's culture, but the principle is about the same..... sorta."
Tenzin: "how so?"
Y/n: "well it's not really about freeing yourself or clearing all thought but more of feeling nature, becoming one with it, to take in its flow and feel it all around you."
Tenzin: starts to stroke his beard, "hmmmm. I see. That's pretty interesting and very spiritual."
Ikki: "so, a hippy?"
Tenzin: quickly looks at her, "Ikki!"
Ikki: "whaaaat?"
Y/n: chuckles, "sort of, but not really. It's our belief that in doing so, our senses will increase. Allowing use to be more free as we fight. Basically, we'll move so freely, we'll experience no air resistance at all. Course, actually proving this is another thing. Many in my tribe has spent years of their lives trying to do so, but have yet to make any headway./you know what they say. The best lies have some truth to it. Kinda scary how easy it is for me to spout such bullshit lies so easily. I feel I should be worried about that....... or I can pretend It's nothing."
Tenzin: "I see. That's very spiritual in its own way, but you are right. At its core it is similar to our own method, but you should still try. It could help her, even if it's a little."
Y/n: "I'll see what I can do."

We can see that it is now at sunset. We can see into the dinning room of the Air Temple, as it's now dinner time. Tenzin, his family and Y/n are at the dinner table being served dinner by his wife, Pema, but it becomes very clear that a certain ponytailed hot-tempered girl is missing.

Pema: looks around, "wait, where's Korra."
Tenzin: lets out a small grunt, "that girl. I don't know what to do with her. She's just so short fused."
Pema: "well, I think you should give her some space. She is a young woman, after all."
Y/n: "it could be hormones or that-"
Tenzin: quickly turns to the boy, "don't you dare, not in front of the kids. Besides, she's 17 now and-" Pema looks at him and raises an eyebrow, causing him to clear his throat, "right, anyways." he then looks at his kids, "promise me that your teenage years will not be like this."
Jinora: lowers her book and with a deadpan expression and tone, "I make no such promises."
This causes Tenzin to slump over and let out a defeated sigh, while Y/n and Pema chuckle at him. It's now after dinner. We see as Y/n walks out and goes towards the show cast by the Air Temple.

We can see as the Fire Ferrets are now in the middle of a match. Unbeknownst to her, Tenzin and Y/n as entered the arena. As the match goes on, Korra get knocked out of the ring and into the water. When she emerges from the water, she sees Tenzin and..... Y/n?! She gets out of the water and glares at the boy, thinking he broke their promise, while he looks down in shame. Tenzin walks in front of him and looks at her.
Tenzin: "don't give him that look, Korra. I made him take me too you and honestly, I'm disappointed in you. He's our gets, and you rope him into your..... nightly activities."
Y/n: "that sounds wrong is no many ways....... and now I have a bunch of dirty thoughts of Korra in my head. Thanks Tenzin." he says internally with sarcasm.
Tenzin: "now I want you to return to the island, so you can continue your training.... now!"
Korra: "you know what? NO! I don't NEED air bending."
Tenzin: "what! The Avatar NEEDS to learn all 4 elements! You can't be the Avatar without them!"
Korra: "what I NEED is a more modern fighting style! Times have changed, and I need to adapt to them!"
Tenzin: "look, Korra." he takes a deep breath and breathes out, "bending isn't all about what you can do physically. Your mind needs to be just as strong as your body, if not stronger. You need to train your mind as all as your body."
Korra: "tch."

Is all she said while storming off to rejoin her team, leaving a pissed off Tenzin to storm off as well. Leaving Y/n to sit there worried about not only about making up to Korra for breaking his promise, but also the situation he feels he just caused.
We now see as Y/n and Tenzin is sitting in the arena seats, watching the match. However. The other team, The Platypus Bears, dominate round 2 and 3. Now Mako and Bolin are cornered and on the edge, while Korra is pushed to the edge of zone 3. However, something unexpected happened. When the opposing team attacked her with the large coins, she starts to Dodge, effortlessly. It appears to be in a similar manner to how the air bender move when air bending. Causing Tenzin's eyes to widen as he recognizes what she is doing, while Y/n smiles seeing this as well.

Thanks to her moving like this, the other team ended up exhausted themselves for pushing too hard and to aggressively too early in the match, but the Fire Ferrets, on the other hand, still have plenty of energy left in the tank. Thanks to this, they were able to easily overwhelm them and finally score a victory.

Tenzin: Quickly stands up, with his arms raised in the air, "YES, THAT'S MY GIRL!!" everyone looks at him, causing Y/n to chuckle. His cheeks turn red from embarrassed and sit down, "ahem, I mean. Way to go...... Fire..... Ferrets."

With this win, their team was finally able to advance to the championship rounds. Mako starts to finally show he's impressed with Korra, but catches himself.

Tenzin: "maybe, but you were just looking out for a friend and if I've learned anything from my father, it's this. You always have your friends back, no matter what." this causes the boy to chuckle, which causes Tenzin to chuckle as well, "hehe, what?"
Y/n: "It's nothing. You just remind me of my sensei."
Tenzin: "sensei?"
Y/n: "it means teacher. His name was Kakashi. He had a saying, 'those who abandon the mission are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum.' he said that right before risking his life against a powerful enemy."
Tenzin: smiles, "he sounds like a wise man."
Y/n: "he is. even tho I didn't realize that, at the time. I was more focused on catching up to someone./and still am."
Tenzin: "if it's any consolation, I'm sure he's proud of you for doing so well."

This surprises the boy, but he then smiles in return. As the 2 continues to wait for Korra, she finally does. Passing by the training gates, which are being repaired. She then spots the pair and decided to walk up to them.

Korra: smiles and hugs him, "good night."
Tenzin: lets go of her, "and the same to you." he begins to walk away.
Korra: "oh, I'm joining the Fire Ferrets permanently and will be competing in the tournament in a couple of weeks!"

In the background, Tenzin could be heard groaning at this. With him gone, Korra and Y/n are now left alone. There was just awkward silence as the 2 would fidget, trying to figure out what to say, until-

Y/n: "you go ahead. You can talk first."
Korra: "I'm sorry for getting angry at you, earlier. When I saw you standing behind Tenzin, it felt like you betrayed me, betrayed my trust, but I see now that you never do that willingly.
Y/n: "and I'm sorry I did. I should've put up more resistance...... or lie better." this causes her to laugh, which he joined in.
Korra: "so, no hard feeling?"
Y/n: "no hard feelings."
