I see them reaching up for me, their hands rising from the lake, begging me to save them. I stand there watching their struggles, in much the same way they watched me drown from the years of torment at their hands. Now, it was my turn to watch as the very peers who taunted me for years drowned. I should have helped them, I could have helped them, but instead I walked away, leaving them to drown just as they had done me many years ago.
