Khun Diaw steps out of the elevator to the VIP floor of the hospital with a bottle of water and warm bread. Its past three in the morning , yet he cant sleep , still bothered by the fact that Hia Yi remember him when he was seven. Lost in thought the small guy doesn't notice the bodyguard's strange behaviors
He thanks the bodyguard who opens the door for him as usual and walks over to Hia Yi bed. Hia Yi has been sleeping since afternoon.... When Khun Diaw and Kuea returned to the recovery room , he learned Hia Yi woke up and made fuss over his absence. He even kicked Hia Lian , KHun Diaw is overwhelmed by confusion. He feels glad... paranoid... scared... His heart even flutters. This is puzzling , Its like he's about to go insane
"Ugh...."
The small figure places the bottle of water and bread beside the stack of books. He hugs the shabby pillow and settles on the chair by the bed. His big , round eyes land on the sleeping patient
"Hia YI , you're the naughtiest man."
He blows a raspberry at the naughty man and laughs at himself. He knows Hia Yi is cranky , but Hia Yi usually suppresses it. When Hia Yi is angry , he frowns and grits his teeth. Khun Diaw can't imagine how irritated he must have been to kick Hia Lian.
"How could you kick Hia Lian? So mean , Well , you've never been nice. Im not even surprised... Anyhow , you said i kicked you out , but i never did. You kicked yourself out. Why wouldn't you listen to me? Why did you speak so fast? I couldn't keep up."
Despite knowing HIa Yi can't hear him , he wants to complain! Maybe his complaining words will get into Hia Yi dream and make him reflect on his shitty actions a little
"You said i kicked you out and replaced you with Nong when you were the one bringing Nong to me. You falsely accused me! Nong is home alone right now. I think Nong misses you. When things turn back to normal , he will leave the Chens forever. HE might come back to attend social functions with Hia Yi at times if Pa or Hia Yi wants. His only goal at the moment is to end the seven year relationship on good terms
"When we break up... will you miss me? I will surely miss you and Nong a lot. You have to take care of her , okay? Don't leave her alone... the way you did to me."
Khun Diaw has fallen asleep while Phayak is wide awake. He furrows his brow , perplexed by what Khun Diaw said. When did he kick Gilayn Wang? He's too old to have a physical fight with his pals. The tall figure sits up on the bed again. He waits until he's sure KHun Diaw is in a deep sleep before getting out of bed. He grabs the IV pole and heads out of the room. The group of bodyguard is still there. They stand up and bow when they see him
"What happened in the past four days? Tell me everything."
Phayak sits on a chair in front of the room. He frowns as he listens to the head bodyguard reporting on what happened , unable to believe his ears. Did he wake up yesterday?
"Me?"
"Yes sir. We heard you conversing with Khun Tacha but couldn't grasp the topic. However , it let us know you were awake. The master then came in , followed by Khun Gilayn and Khun Kuea. A moment later Khun Tacha went out for a stroll with Khun Kuea , and you shouted that you wnated Khun Tacha here. You couldn't recognize anyone , even Khun Gilayn"
"Who would act like that?"
It's weird enough that he woke up yesterday , but its hard to believe that he couldn't remember Lian. Who would forget their life long best friend?
"Its true , sir. We were the ones pinning you on the bed. The doctor had to give you sedative."
Phayak messages his temples with his big hand. Judging from all the bodyguard's expressions , this is not a lie. He's also trouble by what Khun Diaw said when he pretended to sleep.... Once he's taken the bodyguard's phoen , he dials the ten digit number he remembers well. It's the phone number of the best friend he has known for almost all his life. He presses call wihtout care that it's past four in the morning
"Gilayn Wang speaking"
His friend's vexed voice doens't make him feel a tad guilty. He's the one who can tell Phayak what exactly happened and why Phayak kicked him
"It's me."

"Have you stopped being crazy?"
"I don't remember what happened yesterday."
"What?"
The high pitch and the shifting sound on the other end let Phayak know Gilayn Wang is as wide awake as he is now. He can't believe its true
"I don't rember waking up yesterday. Was i actually up?"
".... Yeah , you woke up and went crazy. Fuck you remember nothing?"
Phayak rolls his eyes and leans against the back rest. The bodyguards around him look worried. The leader of the Chens had memory errors and made a fuss that he couldn't remember him self when he woke up. When he was awake again , he forgot he had made a fuss. If its continues this way , it will affect his business decision making. Its too late for his Pa to have another child. He's old
"Im worried... I dont remember what i said to Diaw... it seems like i said a lot."
This is what Phayak is worried about the most. Something must have happened between him and Khun Diaw in a day lost from his memories , but his head is empty because he can't remember a single thing. There is only thing floating , ungraspable feeling.... Hw can he deal with something he can't remember?
"I have a meeting in the morning , so i'll visit you in the afternoon. Dont do anything right now. Dont say a word."
"Yeah. I pretended to sleep. I got to call you because Diaw is asleep right now."
"Good. Pretend to sleep , be sick , have a headache , or go unhinged. You have memory errors. You can get away with acting crazy. If you can't think of anything , just tell Nong Diaw you love him."
".....Whoever in his right mind would do that? Unbelievable."
"Yi... When you kicked me yelled at Pa , yanked out the IV , screamed that you would go and find Nong Diaw in front of the doctors , the nurses and the bodyguards , it was a lot uglier."
The taunting voice of Phayak's best friend makes him want to smash his own head one more time. His face burns to his ears like it has never happened before. Was he that pathetic? If he had been that awful to the others , how would he have been when he was alone with Khun Diaw?

Phayak signals the bodyguards to back away with his eyes. If Pa's bodyguards heard LIan mocking him , the image of the leader of the Chens would be destroyed. He doubts he has any image left , though . What humiliation
"I thought it was strange as well. You couldn't remember me or anyone. I told you my name several times , but you couldn't remember it. I think you recognized me but just didn't remember my name. You only knew Khun Diaw. You were incensed when I said Nu Kuea went for a stroll with Nong Diaw. You didn't even remember Nu Kuea was my husband and Nong Diaw best friend."
Phayak sighs at himself. He's not a man of many words. Experiences have taught him to listen more than speak. Then why was he from yesterday , whom he's forgotten , so insane? Well , he must have been really insane. He didnt remember shit yet yelled at the others and kicked a big fuss
"They will perform a CT scan on you again. We'll find out then what's wrong with you. I doubt you'll die. You'll just go screwy."
Phayak wishes he could call Kuea Keerati over the witness Lian being a pain in the ass. He never acts this way when his Nu Kuea is present. He would be the kind and composed HIa Lian. What a fake... a fucking liar. Nevertheless , their gang is too old to playfully ruin Lian image in front of Nu Kuea
"Dont stress yourself out. If you're afraid you'll lose memories again , record yourself so you can catch up with thoughts after waking up. Talk to yourself a lot so you stop contradicting yourself.
