Feng Jiu and Dong Hua we're at the Bai estate inside the family mansion in their living room. Feng Jiu and Dong Hua arrived 8 in the evening after the bodyguards of the Bai's escorted them to the chopper and flew them back to the city.聽
Feng Jiu felt really nervous especially that her aunt, 4th uncle, her mother, father, grandfather and grandmother are all present. Feng Jiu can feel the temper of her grandfather and father boiling deep inside.聽
"When did the two of you start going out? " It was Feng Jiu's grandfather who asked frowning.聽
Feng Jiu and Dong Hua looked at each other then Feng Jiu replied,
"Just today..."
"Today? Today Xiaojiu? Have you seen the headlines that came out? You two look like you've been together for a year based on how cozy that picture the two of you were taken. " it was his father who replied with a hmpp.聽
"We've only just agreed to meet today since... " Feng Jiu looked at Dong Hua who is still looking at her then back to her elders.
"...since both of us are busy with work. "聽
"So Xiaojiu when did you and Dijun really...you know had a mutual understanding?" it was her aunt Qian-Qian who asked. Feng Jiu bit her lip and lowered her head in shame, remembering that she lied to her aunt and uncle about going to work this morning.聽
To Feng Jiu's surprise, Dong Hua grabbed and held one of her hands and squeezed it softly. She looked at him sideways and she saw he smiled reassuringly back at her and nodded. She nodded back, silently understanding that he'll take charge of the situation.聽
Still holding her hand Dong Hua faced the oh so serious Bai family who are watching with surprise at his and Xiaobai's little sweet exchange. Dong Hua looked straight in Bai Zhi's eyes and said,聽
"Sir, since my grandfather and father was still alive up until now, you have known me. I have never dated anyone or went out with anyone in my whole existence, yet here I am, infront of you determined to continue what Xiaobai and I have."
Dong Hua saw that the Bai family is surprised. He smirked. For a quite guy like him, people would thought that he is shy but one of his strengths is being outspoken.聽
"Xiaobai and I started dating a month ago after I met her here, when I first saw her and was introduced. And then the rest is history. I have pure intentions towards Xiaobai Sir. And, I am at the point where I have fallen inlove with her. " Dong Hua sincerely said and softly showed everyone a smile. He felt Xiaobai squeezed his hand and when he looked at her, she smiled back at him. His heart once again had that abnormal beating.聽
To Bai Zhi and the rest of the family who are looking at this scene infront of them, Xiaojiu and Dong Hua Dijun are lost into their own world. Full of smiles and staring at each others eyes while holding hands. Bai Zhi felt his 2nd son Bai Yi sighed. Ofcourse. This is impossible to stop, seeing the youngest of the family is as smitten as Dong Hua here.聽
True to his claim, Bai Zhi have known Dong Hua eversince and the kid never had anyone. Way back, he thought he is gay. Although he has nothing against the sexuality of Dong Hua he just think that way since there are no talks of him among the business circle that he went out with women. Bai Zhi sighed. He looked at his beloved grand daughter and realized that she's all grown up and not a baby anymore. He felt emotional suddenly. Then Bai Zhi felt a hand on his shoulders and he heard his wife whisper,
"As you can see, she's into him too dear. I don't have the heart to break them appart at this point. Atleast now, we will not be worried of looking for Xiaojiu's future husband as the best of the best candidate is already here infront of us. Remember, you and your best friend wants to merge companies by marriage right? Now here it is. Fate has brought them together. Let's not stop that. "
Bai Zhi's wife is right and he just sighed again. Bai Zhi looked at his son Bai Yi and said,
"Your mother is right. Dong Hua is the most suitable candidate to your daughter as her future husband. He can slowly coax Xiaojiu to handle the Qingqiu corp. "
Bai Zhi saw his son Bai Yi nodded then he draw his attention back to the pair of love birds and said,
"Dong Hua. Follow me and Bai Yi to the study. Xiaojiu, stay here with the rest. We will just have a man to man talk. "
Feng Jiu looked at Dong Hua and felt a little scared. What if they don't approve of him? She thought but Dong Hua eased her worries by smiling at her and said in soft voice,
"Don't worry Xiaobai. I'll talk to them and do more convincing. Just wait here. I'll聽 be back okay? "
Dong Hua saw how Feng Jiu pouted and he nearly laughed. He couldn't stop himself so he pinched her cheek and said,
"Behave okay?" He stood and just kissed the top of her head and went to the study.
On the living room it is all quite until,
"Going to do work on a ambitious project eh? " it was Bai Qian who sarcastically said. Bai Qian felt bad. She didn't expect her niece would lie to her. Feng Jiu stood and right away sat beside her aunt. She bit her lip and hugged her saying,
"Sorry if I lied aunt. It's just that I want to keep it for myself first. Since this is a first time for me and Dijun... "
Feng Jiu felt her aunt turned and looked at her with a serious face. Bai Qian caressed Xiaojiu's cheek and said,聽
"I understand if you want to keep it in wraps Xiaojiu but it hurts that you kept it from me and Zhen-zhen."
Feng Jiu looked at her 4th uncle and Bai Zhen just caressed the head of Feng Jiu.
"Let's not stress her out about this Qian-Qian. Remember that this is her first time getting into a relationship. " Bai Zhen winked at Feng Jiu and smiled.
Bai Qian just sighed and rolled her eyes then her phone rang. Bai Qian checked the caller and show it to Bai Zhen and Feng Jiu.
"See this? The far relative of your Dong Hua is now calling me to check if this issue is true. I'll better answer this. " Bai Qian stood and left. Bai Zhen then said,
"I'll be in my own room mother and grandmother. All my work needs to be reviewed. Xiaojiu, just don't hide things from us ever again okay? "
Feng Jiu nodded and smiled at her 4th uncle. Grateful for being so understanding towards her. When it was only her grandmother and mother is left,
"Have you eaten Xiaojiu?" Her mother asked. Feng Jiu shook her head.

"We are not against you and Dong Hua being together Xiaojiu. Your grandfather and father thinks you should focu on succeeding and managing the company first before having a boyfriend."
Feng Jiu blushed as her grandmother mentioned boyfriend.
"And also, As a grandfather and a father not a business men, they still thought you are still the family's little girl. " it was her mother who said this and Feng Jiu smiled realizing how lucky she is for having a loving and protective family.
"Let's wait for your father, grandfather and Dong Hua in the dining area. Help me in the kitchen okay? " Feng Jiu agreed to her mother.聽 She encircled her arm to her mother and they walked towards the kitchen.
Meanwhile in the study room, Dong Hua is facing Bai Zhi and Bai Yi who is looking at him like he is the next meal.
He is not bothered at all its just that this is Xiaobai's family he is facing. One wrong word from him, they'll definitely not allow him to see Xiaobai anymore.
"So Dong Hua, are you being honest in what you said back there? " It was Bai Yi who spoke. Dong Hua looked at Bai Yi and nodded then said,
"I've never been more serious. Xiaobai makes me happy. " Dong Hua saw Bai Yi and Bai Zhi looked at each other then back at him.
"Feng Jiu is my only daughter. I always thought of her as the family's princess but as a father, it is normal that I feel a dislike towards you. Your father is a friend of mine and even when he was still alive and teased me that you and Xiaojiu should end up together, I take offense on it but seeing how you and Xiaojiu did end up seeing each other... " Bai Yi choked on that last words then continued,
"...I will not stop you and Xiaojiu into going out and see each other but, there is one thing I will ask of you."
Dong Hua's attention is fixed on Bai Yi and waited for the reply.
"Marry Xiaojiu. If you are sincere of your intentions towards her, marry her then?"
The room became silent. Dong Hua is stunned. Bai Zhi stood and tap Dong Hua's shoulder and said,
"Don't forget that Feng Jiu is a Bai Dong Hua. It will not be easy to date her because she said so. We will rally behind her in every step of the way. So, what will your answer be?"
