"I've never been so happy for term to be over," Dorian groaned, stretching.
"We've only got about a month and a bit of break, dude," Reina reminded him. "Still, I get what you mean. There was just something about this term...."
"I imagine I didn't make it any easier, eh?" She returned his cheeky smile as they both fell back on to the couch.
"A little bit of both ways on that one," she answered, resting her head on his shoulder. He wrapped an arm around her as they sat there, simply enjoying the feeling of each other. "I guess that the next thing would be to decorate for the holidays...."
"Do you want to do that before we leave for the event?" Dorian asked. "We can save it until later. I mean, we've got everything ready for our cosplays...."
"At least we actually mean to couple's cosplay this time," she teased. "And I think you'll make a great Gundham Tanaka...."
"And you for Sonia," Dorian agreed. "Come on, I think the holiday stuff's in the garage...."
The next few hours saw them carrying boxes from the garage and gently nudging kittens with their feet and trying to decorate just a bit. Dorian, being the taller of the two and having longer arms, was trusted to hang things higher even when needing a step stool even though he did accuse Reina a few times of just wanting to stare at his butt which she neither confirmed nor denied. By the time they had finished, all that was left was the ornaments and the star on top of the tree.
"Well, I guess you'd better get on with it," Reina offered.
"Nope, you're doing it...." Reina looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Don't get your nickers in a twist, I'll help you up...." He knelt down with his back to her. "Come on, then...."
"You sure I won't be too heavy?"
"I don't think so," Dorian offered. "But I haven't picked someone up from the ground like this since my sister and I were small...." While he had expected her to hold on around his neck and hook her legs under his arms, it absolutely shocked him when she put her legs over his shoulders.
"Alright, up we go," Reina said. When Dorian didn't move even to secure her on him, she leaned forward with a cheeky smirk. "Dorian...what's going on in that head of yours...?"
"After" was all he could get out before grabbing her thighs and pushing upward with his legs. Reina gently grabbed a hold of his hair to steady herself before putting the star on top and tapping him to let her down. Her smile didn't help the burning in Dorian's cheeks as he turned away to cool off a bit.
"So?"
"While I'm not a thigh guy, I think I get it now...." Reina chuckled before hugging him from behind, giving him a little squeeze.
"Come on, the sooner we get this done, the sooner we can be lazy until the stream."
"I've got to find a few things for that," Dorian remembered. "It's challenge night as well as posh gaming...."
Another couple of minutes later and they fell back onto the couch. Neither of them said anything for a minute, quietly taking in their handiwork and each other's company. The cats came down since they were allowed, curious and aiming to cause some mischief before Dorian and Reina grabbed them both.
"So...what's posh gaming?" Reina asked, breaking their silence.
"A stupid idea Innis came up with," he sighed, scratching Felix who had climbed onto his head. "Since, according them, I can be a bit of a prat, they thought for a stream that I should full tilt into being a stereotype; fancy top hat, false moustache, monocle, an accent, the works...." He removed Felix from his head who mewled indignantly before accepting his fate. "You sure you don't want to play with everyone?"
"We can take turns," she offered. "You do a round as a prop and hunter, I'll do another, but forgive me for not wanting to do the challenges...I saw the list." Dorian smirked at that. "Are you really gonna take a bite out of a raw onion?"
"If I die as a prop, I will," he told her. Her expression told him how she felt about dealing with that later. "I suppose I better get my kisses in now, shouldn't I?"
"Probably a good idea...."
