‘Do you need anything? Water? Coffee?
‘No thank you. I’m alright.’ The man sat down on the hard plastic chair as he surveyed the room around him.
‘Well then, let’s get started.’ The woman flipped through the papers in her hand as she sat down across from him. ‘Now my name is Sofia Barlowe but you can just call me Sofia. We want to make sure you’re comfortable. You don’t need to be nervous. This is just like any other interview you’ve done before. And if you need a break at any point throughout this, just say. We can easily stop for a moment if you need to.’
‘What do you want me to tell you?’ The man asked as he stared directly at Sofia. Studying her. Trying to work out what she was going to say. Better yet, what he was going to have to say to her. ‘Usually interviews start off with me being asked about my love life. They need those crazy fangirls to buy their magazines and read their articles. Just having me on the cover doesn’t work anymore. They need the gossip.’
‘We’ll get into that later. And don’t worry. If there is something you’re not comfortable talking about, especially if it’s about your love life then you don’t have to say it.’ Sofia reassured him with a smile. ‘I just want you to tell me your story. From the very beginning.’
‘It’s kind of long. A lot has happened in my life that you might want to hear.’
‘We have time. Please, tell me everything.’
