I met my boyfriend through funny circumstances.
So, it turns out that we were sort-of neighbour's (I say sort of because homes out where we lived were a couple of kilometers apart)
We caught the same bus sometimes, we went to the same school, and passed each other in halls, but didn't actually know about each other.
I met him out of school and we became friends. Our thing to do together was go to the movies since we both loved them so much.
One day, I gained up the courage to ask him out at a movie.
I thought it was a nice romantic film from the posters hanging up. I thought 'this is the one! It'll be perfect!'
The movie was.....
We're the Miller's.
Not a romance film. Involved a guy kissing his 'mother' and a close up of a spider bite to the balls.
Still, I asked him out and he said yes. Then we shared what was one of the funniest moments together as a new couple.
I tell people all about the movie when they ask. It's funny to think that We're the Miller's is our thing we shared as a couple for the first time.
Been going for 9 years now and wouldn't change a thing 😂
