Oooh I love scented letters, though I prefer them to smell like the person sending them, especially if they are far away. It makes the letter feel more like a personal visit. Are you trying to make my cry? Damn you!😭 (Actually I did on the 4th read) This was so beautiful. I see you trying to stifle the grief, pretending they're just away and it's difficult to get in contact. It's a bad way to deal with grief, I'm guilty of it. This piece resonated with me since I'm in the middle of writing a short with a similar setting. Can I use bits of this?

Final words:
The rankings and points in no way diminish the submissions. We all experience love differently and react differently. While I tried to take an objective approach, some pieces hit me harder than others, but I genuinely liked all the pieces. I fell in love again and grieved at its loss, I was uncertain and betrayed, I felt the hopelessness, hopefulness and simplicity of it. We are all creeps, crazy, angry and hopeful about love. But never forget to enjoy the simple ordinary bits of it. They are all you have when your lover is gone.
